The morning gave us a beautiful sunrise that told us this was the day to set sail on our Peace Full Sail journey for world peace. Little did they know that the sea would reveal many obstacles in their path, just like there are many obstacles to peace between nations. One must overcome those obstacles and continue forward, with each obstacle making you stronger to endure the tears and blood encountered towards peace.
This is the first part of our first journey at the beginning of the year. We encountered many obstacles that set us back a little, and at times, put our lives in danger as you will witness. Come this December we are setting sail once again with musicians, film crew and people from all wakes of life, many countries and many ideas. Italians, Spanish, Jews, Arabs, Iranians, Germans, Americans. People that know they are different and want to show the world that, despite their differences, they will get along no matter what it takes.
Meet the crew and sail along with us on our first journey here. When we set sail in December we will give updates and current news on their journey. All the music you here are the creation of the crew.
All the drama you see is real.
Here are the follow up videos telling the story:

This video is our last concert of 2008 EuroRock Peace Full Sail featuring Swiss Chris, John Legends Music Director and Drummer, Detlef Kowelewski, his band the previous steady opener for Iron Maiden as well as Musicians and Artists for World Peace and a potpourri of musicians from all over the world Rocking the World for Peace. We are getting ready to set sail for peace again! (more below)
The United Nations' International Day of Peace - marked every year on September 21 - is a global holiday when individuals, communities, nations and governments highlight efforts to end conflict and promote peace.
Established by U.N. resolution in 1982, "Peace Day" has grown to include millions of people around the world who participate in all kinds of events, large and small.
Today, WPTV and its mother organization EuroRock Peace Full Sail, Saving With Instruments Samples and Soundz announces our fourth year of putting together artists, musicians, film makers and people from all over the world together in one small environment to create their art, and to show and perform it to people to show the world we can all get along, no matter what, despite our differences of race, religion, country of origin, political beliefs or genre of music or any art. Our program is called Peace Full Sail EuroRock.
Peace Full Sail EuroRock tours land, sea and air all over the world doing concerts, documentary film (some that can be seen here on WPTV), and sailing in our 60 foot unique yacht to points around the world. Today we announce our second sailing journey for peace.
Detlef Kowelewski, our Skipper and band member of KreigerGottes (Warrior of God) will take a dozen people, most already picked, from Spain this December and sail to the Caribbean, then thru the Panama Canal and then California where we will represent EuroRock Peace Full Sail peace music entries at the 51st Grammy Awards. We then embark for points west like Hawaii, Japan, China and the Mid East. Along the way we should receive video updates and will be published on various websites. During the sail we expect to expand our mission to help and train people to help themselves, use our music and art to further development of Peace and direct aid where ever we can.
During the sailing journey for peace, we expect to create more music, and hopefully broadcast live and/or send video updates from the ocean if we get a sponsor for the equipment needed. If not, we hope to receive video and sms updates from the crew during the Peace Full Sail journey when they hit port with an Internet connection.
You can see some of our video of last years Peace Full Sail on WPTV if you click back as well as some real life news events that witnessed and filmed that was uploaded from the boat at sea. Some fo which we wrote and composed music of our witnessing these events and is also on WPTV here.
Along with Detlef will be last years Peace Full Sail videographer, (and sometimes Current user) Marco Allegri and his crew from Florance Italy who will have his equipment aboard filming every step and event that we come across.
Thank you all here at Current that have kept track of WPTV and thank you to the staff at Current for all your hard work. We hope to upload our content to Current first since we have much faith in Current's system (despite some bed bugs and sock puppets!)
btw, we need 4 more people to join us on this historic journey. Please email WPTV thru your profile..thanks!

Just released, this video and music is an excellent look at John Lennon through the eyes of *Klaus Voorman, a friend and confidant of Johns and the rest of the Beatles'.. This song, recorded by Achim Schultz of Germany comes with some fantastic harmonies and Beatle-esque sounds, but mostly original.and thoroughly beautifully done.
A true message of Peace from a true heart.
Here is an unedited message from Achim:
"....my new video, “GIVE PEACE A CHANCE 2008”,
from the Album “Think Big” is ready
for it look on my page. I producing this video clip
with spectacluar films of
Greenpeace Germany e.V. and I am wrote this song,
not only because I have children,
but also because peace in the world will never have a rest …..
because music is the best language world-wide

Yes, that picture above is a genuine picture of the Universe as a near whole compiled by astronomers data, pictures from Hubble and other data. Its like you were looking at it from yet another Universe, or from trillions of light years away.
Its been described as "bubbles within bubbles", "foam". I look at it and see some mystical, philosophical and religious symbolism.
To me, the Universe picture here is intertwined and connected in some way. One end of the Universe has a connection to the farthest end and so on.
I see butterflies, the true spirit of freedom and metamorphosis within us all. Everything is energy and energy is merely changed into something else when it dies, is burned or destroyed some how. We are made from atoms of stars and other suns and those atoms will move on after our bodies move on. We will all undergo a metamorphosis!
Each circle representing the 'foreverness', the never ending cycle of life. Eternity. Our atoms will live way beyond our physical life and be part of something else. Our conscious is made up of energy, energy that never dies. Our conscious will live on in another dimension, possibly a better one than this one, or a worse one...depending on the life you lived here.
I also see "Trinities" of circles. Three circles that stand out among the others in various areas. Life is also a trinity. We are born to live, we die and we are all transformed.
I see flowers, flowers that bloom in the spring to make the world we live in more colorful and more beautiful. Flowers mixed with the Butterflies!
Most of all, I see in this picture of the Universe, this picture of "Everything"...I see unity, harmony, and a design that could only be constructed by someone who is full of love. This Higher Power put this here for us to see, for if we were not here to see the Universe, would the Universe exists considering we are part of this grand scheme?
If we are supposed to have been created by a Creator that made us in His own image, then who are these people on this planet that love war, love hate, love lies, loves money? I believe they too have the power to love love and to bring peace in the world. They only need to get beyond the greed and hunger for power to become part of the whole.
When you read this linked article, you will see what man has done to try to explain our Universe, try to come up with a "Theory for Everything" in one breath. It's actually alot simpler than it looks. The theory for everything is that, well, we are everything!
I propose a birthday anniversary for the Universe. A yearly anniversary that celebrates the fact that we are all connected and are all the same. And that Love built this house we all live in.
Happy Birthday Universe!
peace,
louieYes, that picture above is a genuine picture of the Universe as a near whole compiled... more

With sky-rocketing food prices eroding the gains made by tens of millions of people who have been edging themselves and their families out of abject poverty, practical help has never been more needed.
And Canada's small but vibrant Ismaili Muslim community has few peers when it comes to providing practical help to poorer countries, where many of their number have their roots. They are generous with both their time and their money, and hard-nosed about getting good value — i.e. demonstrable gains the the fight against mass poverty — for the money they spend. On August 15, 2007 Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez proposed a number of reforms to the 1999 Constitution.
The original proposal includes president Chavez's 33 modified articles out of the 350 articles and another 13 articles introduced by the National Assembly (Block A)
Another 23 articles were also proposed by the National Assembly at the time (Block B).
Venezuela has a population of approx. 27,000,000 inhabitants (July 2007 est.) and the 2000 census put the number of Venezuelans in the United States at 126,000. But a more recent study by the Miami-based El Venezolano newspaper, suggests there may be as many as 180,000 Venezuelans living in Florida alone.
This video provides an inside overview on how a democratic act was conducted in a Venezuelan gov. office in the US. We were very lucky to have access to this private event in the US. The US is the country with more Venezuelans after The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. We walk out thinking that this absent votes marked the difference on the 2007 constitutional reform referendum. I hope that by looking at this pod you get inspired to VOTE!

To be a good girl, says Pannipa Chaiyated, a demure 13-year-old, you must have manners, speak politely and help with the housework. That is when she is not slugging her opponents in the ring. In a country where femininity is highly prized and girls are often told by their parents to be discreet, obedient and gracious, female boxing is a surprise hit. Chanin Preechakul, founder of the Womens Thai Boxing Club of Thailand, estimates that more than 100 boxing camps around the country train girls, with a high concentration of them in Thailands poor, rice-farming heartland."To be a good girl, says Pannipa Chaiyated, a demure 13-year-old, you must have... more

When fishermen from the Indian state of Kerala are done fishing each day, they have to decide which of an array of ports they should sail for in order to sell their catch. Traditionally, the fishermen have made the decision at random--or, to put it more charitably, by instinct. Then they got mobile phones. That allowed them to call each port and discover where different fishes were poorly stocked, and therefore where they would be likely to get the best price for their goods. That helped the fishermen reap a profit, but it also meant that instead of one port's being stuck with more fish than could be sold while other ports ran short, there was a better chance that supply would be closer to demand at all the ports. The fishermen became more productive, markets became more efficient, and the Keralan economy as a whole got stronger. When fishermen from the Indian state of Kerala are done fishing each day, they have to... more
