A group identifying themselves as “anti-fascist hackers” broke into the website and e-mail account of controversial British historian and accused Holocaust-denier David Irving and obtained his private communications as well as attendee lists for his current U.S. speaking tour.
The hackers posted Irving’s e-mail correspondence online, as well as the user name and password for his website account and AOL e-mail account, which shared the same password. The hackers also posted the e-mail addresses and other personal information — such as names, phone numbers and shipping and credit card billing addresses — of people who made donations through his websites, purchased his books or bought tickets for his appearances.
UPDATE: Irving’s assistant, Jaenelle Antas, forwarded a statement from Irving saying that it would be several days before he could assess the damage from the hack, since his web provider had apparently scheduled repairs to begin on Friday — the day of the hack — and last for seven days, making it difficult for him to access his account.
“We have a complete back-up, in any case,” he wrote. “Half the files [the hackers] posted were already publicly available on the website, like the Radical’s Diary. Other items they appear to have invented. We shall be apologising to the many people who may find themselves inconvenienced by these juvenile cyber-nasties. We are puzzled that they are so frightened by historical debate.”
Antas did not respond to a follow-up question asking which items the hackers posted were invented.A group identifying themselves as “anti-fascist hackers” broke into the website... more
Activists made a hole in Israel's West Bank wall for the second time in less than a week today in a demonstration to mark the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.
Their faces masked, the activists tethered a two-metre wide section of the cement barrier to a truck which then pulled it over. The crowd of around 50, which had gathered at a section of the barrier near an Israeli checkpoint at Qalandiya, cheered as the six-metre high section fell.
Israeli troops fired tear gas at the crowd, some of whom threw stones over the wall. Several demonstrators passed through the hole they had made, hoisting a Palestinian flag and setting ablaze tyres on the other side.
The panels of the walls in Israel's separation barrier are cast in the same inverted T-shape as the wall constructed through Berlin by communist East Germany.Activists made a hole in Israel's West Bank wall for the second time in less than a... more
A Little-Known Secret was that Albanian Muslims Hid Jews from the Nazis; Now a Survivor Reunites With Her Savior
Tomorrow night marks a painful anniversary for many who survived the run-up to World War II - Kristallnacht. It also provides an opportunity to remember the bravery of the Righteous . . . the citizens of a tiny country who risked their own lives to shelter the most desperate of refugees. Jim Axelrod tells a pair of remarkable stories:
Johanna Neumann is on a journey more than 70 years in the making . . . a journey that started in Germany. She left Hamburg when she had just turned 8.
She remembers it because, she says, "this was such a dramatic experience."
Her life changed in the violent darkness of November 9, 1938, during Kristallnacht - the Night of Broken Glass. It was when the Nazis launched a vicious assault on Jewish communities - looting homes, destroying businesses, burning synagogues. It was an ominous preview of the horrors to come.
Her father feared where his country was headed, so he began preparations to flee. Young Johanna tagged along with him on a devastating errand in the basement of their apartment building:
"He had all of this correspondence and photography, photographs and so on of his youth, of his life," she said. "And he had made arrangements with the superintendent of the house that he could burn his things in the furnace. And you know, like every piece that he burned was like a piece of his life being thrown away. It's a whole life that you're putting on fire."
A few months later, little Johanna and her parents were gone, leaving Germany for good.
But on this day, Johanna's journey won't take her back to Germany. Instead, she's returning to an unlikely safe haven . . . and a reunion with her improbable family.
Edip Pilku is anxiously waiting to greet the woman he hasn't seen in about 62 years, but he clearly hasn’t forgotten her: "Memories are forever."
"Will we cry or not? Will we kiss or not?" he pondered.
You could say Edip is Johanna's brother . . . at least, that's what they told the Nazis.
"The families surrounding us didn't know that we were sheltering Jews," Pilku said. "My mother had spread the word that they were her relatives from Germany."
That was the cover story?" Axelrod asked.
"That was the cover story: We're Germans from Germany, and we were her family."
(Left: Johanna Neumann is reunited with Edip Pilku, an Albanian Muslim whose parents protected Neumann's family from the Nazis during World War II.)
There are a number of extraordinary examples of people around the world who risked, and sometimes lost, their lives hiding Jewish families during the Nazi occupation. But the Pilkus were in Albania, a 70% Muslim country in southeastern Europe.
"The gem of this story is that Albania took in refugee Jews," said Deborah Dwork, who has written a book about Jewish refugees during World War II.
"Europe 1938, '39, '40, even '41, we see it as a totally closed universe," she said. "and Jews in that closed universe, they were looking for holes, for openings. People began to whisper: 'I hear if you get to Albania, you will be safe.'"
Safe, because of a cornerstone of Albanian culture known as Besa - the promise to treat strangers as if they were family . . . and guard them with their lives.
"It has to do with a certain sense of honor, an honor code that they take very seriously," said Dwork. "It's not simply to give someone something -a bed for a night, a hot meal. It's really to offer protection, full protection. They judged themselves by that code, and they also knew that their neighbors judged them by that code."
Like their neighbors, the Pilkus adhered closely to Besa . . . and to their Muslim beliefs that also emphasize the protection of others.
"The role of Albanian culture and traditions and the religious influence of Islam came together," Dwork said.

In this Egyptian TV anti semitic rant, it is important to note that he tips his hand. It is not about religion at all, but race and the inherent superiority of the Arab over the Jewish person as a racial construct. This should not escape our attention. This puts to bed even the flimsy notion that Islam treats all Muslims equally and non Muslims as equal Kuffar. Clearly, Islam is a motivating force behind Arab supremacy and converting to it merely makes you the last to be killed. In this Egyptian TV anti semitic rant, it is important to note that he tips his hand.... more
RAMALLAH, West Bank — The Palestinians should give up seeking an independent state and pursue a single country in which they would enjoy equal rights with Israelis, the chief Palestinian negotiator in Mideast peace talks said Wednesday.
The remark by Saeb Erekat was not a novel idea — prominent Palestinians, including past negotiators, have floated it before, usually when efforts to achieve a negotiated solution to the decades old-conflict with Israel are faltering as they are now.
Barack Obama's push to restart the peace talks has faltered, largely due to disagreements over further construction of Israeli settlements in east Jerusalem and the West Bank, lands the Palestinians want for their hoped-for state.
Some 500,000 Israelis now live in the West Bank and east Jerusalem in settlements built by Israel since capturing the territories in 1967. Israel promised to halt all settlement activity in a 2003 peace plan, but construction has never stopped.
Israel has rebuffed calls from the Obama administration to freeze all settlement construction, instead offering to limit it in the West Bank while retaining the right to continue building in Jerusalem.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas says he will not resume negotiations until all settlement construction stops.

The unbounded and timeless Muslim capacity for Islamic anti-Semitic blood lust and death is one of history's consistent certainties. They are incapable of moving off the dime --
U.S. State Department officials are conducting a secret operation to bring some of Yemen's last remaining Jews to America to escape rising anti-Semitic violence in their country. The State department ..... wow.
''The State Department took something of a risk in removing the Yemenis to the U.S., as it might be criticized for favoritism at a time when refugees elsewhere are clamoring for haven. The U.S. calculated the operation would serve both a humanitarian and a geopolitical purpose. In addition to rescuing a group threatened because of its religion, Washington was seeking to prevent an international embarrassment for an embattled Arab ally.''

Well, it’s not just that they repaid us with expensive oil. It’s that thiis “moderate,” “U.S.-ally” country has grown ever more extreme ever since we liberated it from Saddam Hussein in 1990/1991–repeatedly endorses anti-Semitism and racism against Blacks in its official government-run newspapers and media outlets.
Racist Kuwaiti Cleaning Pads Are Called “Negro”
Take this gem from the Arab Times, which paraphrases an article from Arabic-language Kuwaiti newspaper Alam Al-Yawm. (Alam Al-Yawm claims it’s an independent newspaper, but it’s hardly so. It operates at the discretion of Kuwait’s Emir and the rest of the Al-Sabahs.)
There are about 1,800 Jewish maids working in Kuwaiti households, reports Alam Alyawm daily quoting Interior Ministry sources.
The same sources said these maids are citizens of India, Bangladesh and Ethiopia. The sources also warned such maids practice black magic and may have allegiance to Israel.
They [sic] thoughts and opinions may also constitute a danger to Muslim families – either Kuwaiti or expatriate – and may have an ill effect on our children.
The sources added the origin of most of these maids is believed to be Falasha.

Obama's ratings in Israel have plummetted because they think he's a secret Muslim and hates the Jews or something like that, so now apparently he's going to address a Jewish group. The NY Times doesn't mention which Jewish group, but more tahn likely it will be either American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) or the World Jewish Congress (WJC) or a combination of any of the numerous Zionist organizations clamoring for America to murder Iranians.
President Obama will deliver his first address to a Jewish organization since taking office when he speaks to UJC/The Jewish Federations of North America on Nov. 9 in Washington.
Mr. Obama’s approval ratings in Israel dropped into the single digits this summer as he increased pressure on the Israeli government to freeze settlements in the West Bank. Since then, amid immovable resistance from Israel, Mr. Obama has largely set aside that issue as a first step toward restarting Middle East peace talks, and is now instead pressing Palestinians and Israelis to negotiate all the difficult issues between them toward a final deal.Obama's ratings in Israel have plummetted because they think he's a secret Muslim and... more

Leave it to Glenn Beck to take things too far. On his radio show Beck drew a rather over-the-top analogy between, of all things, Fox News and Jewish persecution during the Holocaust. The basis for this comparison was the White House's recent criticism of Fox News' reporting, in which it called the network "the communications arm of the Republican Party" and said that its reporting style is more opinion than straight news. Beck suggested that the campaign against Fox was only the beginning of a full on assault by the Obama administration against the press.
Beck then made a plea to other news organizations to not stand by and let this media genocide happen.
Casual comparisons to the Holocaust are probably never a good idea, but Beck hasn't been afraid to go there in the past -- i.e. Beck's claim that Al Gore was creating another "Hitler Youth".

ust a couple weeks ago, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad took to the podium inside the U.N.'s grand hall and suggested that there was a worldwide Jewish conspiracy.
But a story published Saturday by The Daily Telegraph stood to turn Ahmadinejad's conspiracy theory on its head. According to the newspaper, Ahmadinejad, a practicing Shia Muslim, is descended from Jews and his family converted to Islam, changing their name from Sabourjian to Ahmadinejad.
Just two days later, fellow U.K. daily newspaper The Guardian has published a report refuting the Telegraph's report. According to The Guardian's Meir Javedanfar, Ahmadinejad has no Jewish roots. Ahmadinejad's mother is even thought to be a descendant of the prophet Mohammed.
The Daily Telegraph's Damien McElroy and Ahmad Vahdat based some of their argument on a photograph of Ahmadinejad's identity card, which showed he was previously known as Sabourjian. They wrote that Sabourjian was a "Jewish name meaning cloth weaver."
The short note scrawled on the card suggests his family changed its name to Ahmadinejad when they converted to embrace Islam after his birth.
The Sabourjians traditionally hail from Aradan, Mr Ahmadinejad's birthplace, and the name derives from "weaver of the Sabour", the name for the Jewish Tallit shawl in Persia. The name is even on the list of reserved names for Iranian Jews compiled by Iran's Ministry of the Interior.
The Guardian's Meir Javedanfar:
"There is no such meaning for the word 'sabour' in any of the Persian Jewish dialects, nor does it mean Jewish prayer shawl in Persian. Also, the name Sabourjian is not a well-known Jewish name," he stated in a recent interview. In fact, Iranian Jews use the Hebrew word "tzitzit" to describe the Jewish prayer shawl. Yeroshalmi, a scholar at Tel Aviv University's Center for Iranian Studies, also went on to dispute the article's findings that the "-jian" ending to the name specifically showed the family had been practising Jews. "This ending is in no way sufficient to judge whether someone has a Jewish background. Many Muslim surnames have the same ending," he stated.
The story was posted to The Huffington Post on Saturday and received tens of thousands of pageviews. Huffington Post's headline credited the 124-year-old The Daily Telegraph for the report.
I think this article is just black propaganda meant to corral and con American Jews who don't want war and conflict into supporting more mass murder on behalf of Zionist Israel. I think that there are hasbarats, (like the ones here on Current) that think war in Iran is cute and funny, but I'm quite sure they are a very fringe minority who are just barking loud and saying nothing intelligent or relevant.

One of the biggest misconceptions about Islam concerns the name “Allah.” Some people believe that Muslims worship a different God than Christians, Jews and others, and some missionary organizations distribute literature in English in which they say such things as: “Allah is the God of the Muslims” and ” Muhammad told people to believe in the God, Allah.” They thus imply and reinforce the idea that “Allah” is some sort of false deity ... more

May I suggest to the seeker of truth do the following NINE STEPS for purification of the mind:
Clean their mind, their heart and their soul real good.
Clear away all the prejudices and biases.
Read a good translation of the meaning of the Holy Quran in a language that they can understand best.
Take some time.
Read and reflect.
Think and pray.
And keep on asking the One who created you in the first place, to guide you to the truth.
Keep this up for a few months. And be regular in it.
Above all, do not let others who are poisoned in their thinking influence you while your are in this state of "rebirth of the soul."
The rest is between you and the Almighty Lord of the Universe. If you truly love Him, then He already knows it and He will deal with each of us according to our hearts.
Peace to you and Guidance from Allah the One Almighty God, Creator and Sustainer of all that exists.
