Lakota Indian Nation secede from the United States by declaring themselves as a sovereign nation on December 20, 2007, and may pose as our own "Gaza/West Bank" issue with threats of liens against property ownership within the declared territories of North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Wyoming, and Montana.
Although it may be argued that those said properties are illegal in the first place, those homesteaders may have to give up their own generational settlements. If we, as Americans, support their declaration and aid in a peaceful process of helping transition their newly declared sovereignty, we can set an example as to how we participate in foreign relations by first fixing our own mistakes here at home.
Furthermore, it will be interesting to follow their own policies with Relations, Environment, and Trade. This is truly exciting and deserve further thought and discussion amongst all Americans and international communities in solidarity alike.Lakota Indian Nation secede from the United States by declaring themselves as a... more
President Bush isn't going to go without commenting on the upcoming election and this morning he spent some time marshaling the conservative wing of the Republican Party to back the presumed GOP presidential nominee for the upcoming battle against the Democratic Party.
"The stakes in November are high. This is an important election. Prosperity and peace are in the balance," Bush told about 2,000 people attending the Conservative Political Action Conference. "So with confidence in our vision and faith in our values, let us go forward, fight for victory and keep the White House in 2008."
The ballroom erupted in cheers when someone shouted "Are there conservatives in the house?" When the president walked on stage, they clapped and chanted "Four more years! Four more years!" They cheered his comments on tax relief, the military buildup in Iraq, the Reagan years and his opposition to abortion. They booed when Bush said his critics want to expand the size and scope of the federal government.

Goldberg, in an interview tries to argue the rise of liberal fascism in America. Now when I saw Naomi Wolf's take on it, she was very intelligent about and actually opened my ears to what's happening in the US. However, Goldberg is using labels to assume that practically everything is fascism, right down to organic food.

Republican Mike Huckabee has a slim chance of making it to the White House. But that won't stop him from shaking up the GOP race.

In this article from the National Review, Roger Clegg claims that there's optimism for conservative culture warriors. He stakes a lot on victories in three fronts: Affirmative action, immigration, and illegitimate child birth.
Did I miss something? Did Leftists suddenly become pro-illegitimate child? What is this guy smoking?
And where does he pull this stat: "1 in 4 non-Hispanic white children are born from parents out of wedlock"? Is that true?In this article from the National Review, Roger Clegg claims that there's... more
This is a fascinating read. Great Britain, a "model" for national healthcare, reports that 1 out of every 8 patients are delayed treatment for at LEAST a year. It is estimated that 70,000 people will leave Great Britain to seek medical care elsewhere this year. Most of these are probably people with dangerous illnesses, diseases, conditions, etc who were denied treatment because overworried moms are crowding the hospitals with their children's cold symptoms at the helm. This is unfathomable, ladies and gentlemen. National Healthcare will NOT work. Wake up, michael moore. Wake up, liberal America.
Want another fun fact?
The US, per million people, has over 3 times as many MRI units as in Canada, 2 times as many CT scanning centers, and 2 times as many open heart surgery centers. (http://www.angelfire.com/pa/sergeman/issues/healthcare/socialized.html)

I love hearing people talk about this. The real human drama of watching your friends be held accountable for their love of T-Shirts, hats, communism, and Gael Garcia Bernal in The Motorcycle Diaries; and then you find out who's spent a Bay of Pigs anniversary with the family of Cuban refugees (regardless of whether you own a "Che's My Homeboy" T-Shirt, it'll be the most fascinating discussion of your life/day/month--dunno, kinda depends on the mean fascination level of your life). This poster, which does that whole photomosaic thing w/ the faces of people Che executed, is distributed by the conservative Young America's Foundation, a conservative group w/ the slogan, "The Conservative Movement Starts Here."
