Health. While we all know what cannabis really does to the body and what it doesn’t do, its still a very important subject to focus on also because nowadays, although the govt. doesn’t, people do care about their health. If people knew that it wasn’t death on a stick or brains on a frying pan, I’d be willing to bet people would think about cannabis differently. I do believe that we should take real scientific tests and studies on cannabis to see what all is in it and what everything does. To those who talk about it being a smoked substance, I say you can vaporize it which eliminates most of, if not all carcinogenic particles and emits pure cannabis vapor which is not only a lot easier on the lungs but tastes better and you reach your level of high quicker, water bongs or ROAR’s are also recommended because the water acts as a filter to ash as well as carcinogens. As I said Health is a great subject and also a very important subject to get on top of.

Environmental effects. Cannabis/Hemp is one of the greenest herbs around for rapid reproduction/reusable and readily available use. One acre of Hemp is equal to about for acres of tree’s, not only that but Hemp loves CO2 and soaks a lot of it up. Saving millions to billions of acres of trees or even eliminating the use of trees which in most cases age centuries old altogether. Better products would be produced such as anything ranging from paper to wood for housing or feed for livestock, there is a plethora of uses for Hemp that not only are cheaper but better and can be reproduced more whilst being more environmentally friendly and ultimately the one of the best Plants to use for a multitude of purposes. Oh and I almost forgot about “Exportation” of our Hemp goods, but the quicker we get that going the better. This is also an Extremely important subject with regards to Legalization.

Recreational use. This subject is a hard one to fight, but key. The argument is that people would start using weed and stop working and going to school or slack, lose brain cell and do worse at school, or become addicts for marijuana. Addiction is totally dependent on the person, although many substances have addictive properties, the person decides on whether or not they will keep using. Cannabis is in no way an addictive substance, the only thing people get addicted to is the good time they have while high, or in my case the that and the the help it gives me to concentrate on what’s more important at the time so I can act more efficiently under stress. If you call wanting to use a substance that helps you do something better without harming you, “like other substances”, an addiction then so be it. But don't take it away from me if its not only helping me but not harming you either. Cannabis to some, like my self, is also better to smoke when you come home after a long hard working and learning day than, a cigarette or drinking some wine.

In closing I just want to say; Organizing, Educating, and focusing on these key points would do so much to move legalization forward. We have many supporters already but we are scattered and aren’t focused on key points to disprove such as health or psychedelic myths, or improve on such as money and Environmental status. Feed the public the truth that they would otherwise be starved of and fed empty lies by the opposition. I really do personally believe that Legalization would be a whole hell of a lot easier if we could do these things on a national or even international scale.

The Legalization Method pt. 1

"Dear reader im sorry about the delay on this post but it will be well worth the wait, I meant to put all this in one but i had to make it 2.

Since 1937 Cannabis has been deemed illegal on a federal level in the United States, and has since then been portrayed as an evil substance that has no place in society. In recent years independent and university studies have shown the almost never ending uses Cannabis has to offer. What we as individual rights believers, Cannabis Legalizationists (I know its not a word) and etc. need to do is put an end to this horrible failure called "war on drugs", which is really war on Cannabis, and fight the lies being fed to the public with truth. There are various ways to go about this movement, but I feel I have found the most effective ways to do this.

Money. Money is the key reason why cannabis/Hemp hasn't been legalized, and the alcohol and tobacco industry are the main investors in prohibition among many others. What the govt. needs to realize is that there are more benefits along with more money in cannabis/hemp than alcohol and tobacco combined if; legalized, taxed, farmed and fabricated. Not only will millions be saved and billions be generated in revenue from Cannabis/Hemp, but millions of jobs would be created for farming of cannabis and fabrication of the various Hemp goods it can produce. To take it a step further it saves taxpayers millions(collectively) from prosecution, detaining, raiding, and the closing down of users and dispensaries. Legalization would also reduce prison crowding and make room for actual murderers and rapists that the police officers are catching more of since they can focus on more important things like those just mentioned. "make Money our main focus because that's all the govt. really cares about.”

Education. With out Education a person is lost and susceptible to scare tactics and falsified information generated by people who couldn't care less about the very people they are making money off of. If Education were presented to the public, so they can learn the truths behind the myths and lies told to them for decades, I believe they would look at Cannabis in a new light and might even surprise us in the overwhelming support of legalization. We need to Educate our friends and family on this subject "seriously" on both the negatives and positives of Cannabis, I would rather have a person say no to something they actually know about then to say no and be totally misinformed on the subject. Don’t forget to educate yourselves on this subject further even if you already know a lot, learning as if you were the opposition would help you to debate better and respond more intelligently because you already know what they are going to say and what to say against it, and you might learn couple actual negatives.

Organization. Another key factor in any case of moving to make something happen is Organization. If we organize on a national or even global scale then legalization would be a cinch; Doctors, lawyers, Teachers, Judges, Officers, Construction workers, you get the idea, there are more users than we think there are and add to the ones who think its just common sense or individual rights. Rallying at state capitols and appearing to town hall meetings or public political events would be easier and more efficient if we organized on these things, in turn making it easier to get our points across and forcing the opposition to use facts. Leadership belongs to you and you are also the supporter, so lets get out there and really make ourselves known so we can finally be taken Seriously. Also, when rallying or appearing at meetings please do so in a dignified and intelligent matter, I say this not to bring anyone down but that is very important because we want to prove that the stereo types portrayed in movies and music videos are completely off."Dear reader im sorry about the delay on this post but it will be well worth the... more

Marijuana vs Multiple Pills

I'm coming out of my "Green Closet"! The ongoing debate in California has brought out a lot of people that have been silent for a long time about scrounging around for their medicine!

I am so sick of the people that sit back on their pious asses and hold "court" over MY PAIN! Pain and the relief thereof is subjective! In this case the subject is ME! I am the subject, MY pain! Even if YOU are not CONVINCED that it helps MY PAIN, as long as I am, who are YOU to say it doesn't?

I can walk into any doctor anywhere in any town and get a HANDFUL of NARCOTICS in just a few minutes! Enough to kill me 6x over, they do help with Some of my problems, but the side effects are devastating and leave me unable to function in any NORMAL capacity. The MJ does help take enough of the edge off the pain and nerve action (spasms) that I can function and still get on with life! So, even if YOU believe it is not viable for medical purposes, if it helps me (I do not care if you think it is a PLACEBO) then that should be MY opinion and choice! BTW, I suffered a devastating spinal cord injury that has left me with lifelong, debilitating nerve damage with spasms, pain and partial loss of function on one side of my body!

I had someone say to me that this beneficial effect was all in "my mind", that it didn't really relieve anything. Okay, it's all in MY mind - if I have traded in my handful of "goodies" for a few hits of pot, and it works for me, why does it bother you? Seriously, do you think I would be better off to just continue taking all of my prescriptions like Norco, Valium, Neurontin, Zoloft, Ambien and Flexeril in doses guaranteed to stop me from even crawling out of bed? Besides the physiological ramifications, they also happen to leave me unable to talk straight, drive, cook, shop or any other task requiring a brain or motor skills!

Maybe your right, maybe it won't "take away" my ailments...but I don't seem to care nearly as much! Oh, wait, am I admitting that I ENJOY consuming my medication? I guess so, wow, isn't that a shame? I have to pass on alcohol because it causes me to become violently ill most of the time. Do you think that alcohol is NOT a social "medication"? So yup, I admit it, I like big buds! I rarely use any of the above mentioned drugs, even though I have full bottles in my cabinet and could get pretty much any others from a DR at the drop of a hat! I would rather take a couple of tokes, drink some tea or whatever form of Cannabis "relieves" my symptoms, oh, and I can still get out of bed, hold a conversation above a second grade level and do a little living too!
