It's a mix of laser cats and Team Fortress, an epic game of cats that fire laser beams and also swarms of killer bees. It does look like it's impossible to defeat the giant killer kitties, but awesome to watch. It's a mix of laser cats and Team Fortress, an epic game of cats that fire laser... more

Somebody has re-created the trailer for Law Abiding Citizen, and superimposed characters from the Valve video game Team Fortress 2. The animation is pretty good, and the choices for characters are actually pretty clever (Gerard Butler’s character is played by an Engineer for obvious reasons, while Jamie Foxx’s role is played by the suit-attired Spy character)

While Valve already has gamers currently stuck in a speculation frenzy with their latest Portal update, some images they've sent to various tech sites are hinting at -- if not confirming outright -- something much clearer, and much bigger: Steam coming to Macs in some form.
The only thing the sites have been told was: "In anticipation of an upcoming announcement from Valve." Such an announcement would likely be revealed at GDC 2010, taking place only next week.
Stay tuned.

Most people would agree that Team Fortress 2 is a good game. The gameplay is fun, the writing is hilarious, and the art direction is charming. However, Andrew Kepple has sought to corrupt such a wonderful thing with his twisted flash Spy & Pyro, which can be found on AlbinoBlackSheep.
We could describe what is so horrid and twisted about this flash, but we don’t want to spoil the fun for you. So, without further ado, check out Spy & Pyro and try not to laugh, or run away in sheer terror for that matter.

In the latest update to Team Fortress 2, Valve sneaked in a little surprise for all the players of the beloved first-person massacre: a new game mode entitled Highlander.
In the new mode, there is a limit of 9 players to each team, and a limit of one of each class per team. So, there can only be one (Heavy, Medic, Engineer, Spy, etc.). Get it? This is definitely an interesting spin on the usual chaos that is team class balance...

This title goes out to all you fans of VNV Nation. I’m sorry, I just couldn’t help myself.
But back to the subject at hand. The first new items have been revealed in the latest update for Team Fortress 2 and it seems that the Demoman, though behind in score, will be getting a helping hand in this war. Announced Monday were the first two items for the cyclops, the Eyelander and the Chargin’ Targe.
But to learn more, you’ll have to skip past the jump!

So: how is the War update different from our other class updates?
In many ways, it's not. Like any other class update, the War update will reveal three new weapons each for the Demoman and Soldier throughout the week, as well as some maps, achievements, and surprises, right up until the day of release, when everything we've been teasing goes live.
Where the War update differs from other class updates is that we've decided to mix things up a little with, as the Administrator would say, "a healthy competition." A secret, exclusive seventh weapon has also been developed by the TF2 team. In other words, either the Soldier or the Demo (but NOT both) is walking out of this update with one more weapon than the other. If you want your class to have it, you're going to have to fight for it. The more Demomen you kill as the Soldier class will help ensure the Soldier gets the weapon at the end of the week. The more Soldiers you kill as the Demo will help the Demo class get the exclusive seventh weapon.
Check back daily to see how your class is doing at the War hubpage — this is also where you'll see links to all the leaked previews of the weapons, maps, and surprises releasing soon with this update. So: how is the War update different from our other class updates?

You’ve already heard about Team Fortress 2’s new map, Offblast, but Valve has decided not to stop there. Yesterday they introduced Viaduct, a snowy map based around the new game mode, King of the Hill. Players will find themselves trekking up numerous paths along a central hill to reach the capture point, which sits at the peak.
There's a heck of a lot more than that too. Hit the link for the full details, plus the patch notes. You’ve already heard about Team Fortress 2’s new map, Offblast, but Valve... more

Today Valve announced Team Fortress 2’s first Classless Update, which promises to bring something even better than a normal class update to the board: hats! That’s right, 18 totally awesome hats that will be available for your collecting, including a cowboy hat, Viking helmet, and a bowler. No word yet on how the hats will be unlocked and if they are class specific (we hope not!).

An attentive reader of the Team Fortress 2 blog managed to catch a glimpse of a post made about the next class update coming to the game. It would appear that the Soldier is next in line for an upgrade:
Just as out of the blue it had appeared, back into the blue it went with the post being taken down.
