I think his lies are more than stuck in his throat...he is puking out lies every time he opens his mouth. This guy cannot look someone in the eyes, something that I have learned to not to trust in someone. I learned the hard way and I see it every week. Someone cannot look at you and blinks alot, like McCain, is a straight out lier.
Here's the story......
John McCain was interviewed on This Week With George Stephanopoulos and continued to be dishonest in his portrayal of both his record and the record of Barack Obama. One lie which I found particularly irritating was this: “Senator Obama has not been involved in reforms. In fact, he walked away from the immigration reform issue.”
Obama has been involved in passing reform legislation both in the Illinois legislature and in the Senate. The votes which contributed to Obama’s liberal rating from The National Journal, which McCain cited in the debate, included support for reform legislation.
It is bad enough to deny this important part of Obama’s record, but I was particularly annoyed by the claim Obama walked away from immigration reform. As I’ve noted in the past, parts of Michigan and other tourist areas have had problems this year since visas for seasonal workers could not be renewed because John McCain was afraid to have immigration come up during an election year. McCain didn’t walk away–he ran away from the issue.

Fact: Israel has Nuclear Weapons. Fact: Israel is breaking the law having Nuclear Weapons. Why is Israel screaming then? Why hasn't Israel been punished?
more of the story:
Islamic anger over Israel's nuclear program and bids by Iran and Syria to gain more influence threaten to turn this week's 145-nation International Atomic Energy Agency meeting into an unprecedented showdown between the West and the developing world.
Opening Monday, the IAEA's general conference has traditionally been an annual chance for the United Nations nuclear monitoring agency's member countries to plan general nuclear policies that range from strengthening nonproliferation to programs of medical and scientific benefit.
Decisions are traditionally made by consensus, a practice that had led all sides to bridge sometimes substantial differences and opt for compromise on most issues for most of the general conference's 52-year history. A vote on any topic is unusual and considered a huge dent in the meeting's credibility.
But Islamic frustration over Israel's refusal to put its nuclear program under international purview and resistance by the Jewish state to Muslim pressure on the issue threatens to force a vote for the third year running.
After losing the vote two consecutive years, Islamic nations are threatening to up the ante this year, warning they will call for a ballot on every item, no matter how uncontroversial, unless they get conference backing on the issues close to their heart.
"In all my years of dealing with the general conference, I have never seen it as divided as this," said one conference veteran Sunday, the eve of the conference. The diplomat demanded anonymity because he wasn't authorized to comment to the media.
As in the past two years, Islamic IAEA members are expected to put forward a resolution urging all Mideast nations to refrain from testing or developing nuclear arms and urging nuclear weapons states "to refrain from any action" hindering a Mideast nuclear-free zone.
Israel, widely considered the only Mideast nuclear weapons state, last year called for a vote on that resolution because of the introduction of a separate Arab-backed resolution deeming Israel a "nuclear threat" and refusal by its sponsors to withdraw it. The resolution was defeated but the fact it was put to the ballot further weakened the consensus principle.
Arab members — backed by Iran — this year have again asked conference organizers to include a similar item. Although it is now labeled "Israeli Nuclear Capabilities" instead of "Nuclear Threat," the Jewish State still objects to being singled out. And diplomats told The Associated Press ahead of the meeting that it will again force a vote on the Mideast nuclear-free zone resolution unless the second item is withdrawn.
Focusing on Israel by name "is substantially unwarranted and flawed," said a letter prepared for review by the conference from Israel Michaeli, the Jewish State's IAEA representative.Fact: Israel has Nuclear Weapons. Fact: Israel is breaking the law having Nuclear... more

A sign that some sort of peace in the Mideast is on the horizon? I certainly pray it is. With a new government being created in Israel and a leader that disregards the illegal settlements in the West Bank and Gaza blockade (Gaza IS a Democracy supposedly...), this coincident may be a sign from above that we will have some major changes in the Mideast.

JERUSALEM — Jews are not quiet in prayer. Even when focused on the most personal of quests, as they are this season — asking God for forgiveness for dark thoughts and unkind deeds in the past year — they take comfort in community, chanting and swaying and dancing in circles, blowing the trumpet-like shofar, a ram’s horn.
Jews prayed Saturday at the Western Wall as Rosh Hashana approached.
These are the days of the Jewish month of Elul, leading up to Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur, when tradition says that God determines who will live and die in the coming year, and the Western Wall plaza in Jerusalem’s Old City is a festival of piety that runs from midnight till dawn. Tens of thousands roll in and out during the night reciting the special penitential prayers called Slihot.
Coincidentally — the Muslim calendar shifts every year — it is also Ramadan, the month when the faithful believe that God gave the Koran to the Prophet Muhammad, a time of fasting, self-reflection and extra prayer, when being at Al Aksa Mosque here is even more important than usual. At night, when the fasting is over, the celebrating begins. The ancient stone alleyways of the Old City are lit up with strings of colored lights, special foods are prepared, and Palestinian Muslims come and go by the thousands.
The result has been a kind of monotheistic traffic jam in September along the paths of the tiny walled Old City, especially as dawn approaches each day. The Muslims and Jews walk past one another, often intersecting just at the Via Dolorosa of Christian sanctity, as they hurry to their separate prayer sessions: the Muslims above at the Dome of the Rock, the Jews just below at the Western Wall.
It would be wrong to call these tense encounters, because there are essentially no encounters at all. Words are not exchanged. Religious women in both groups — head, arms and legs covered in subtly distinct fashion — look past one another as if they took no notice. Like parallel universes with different names for every place and moment they both claim as their own, the groups pass in the night.
But there is palpable tension. Israeli soldiers walk in small packs to ward off trouble. Security cameras bristle from most walls and intersections. Commemorative stone plaques mark past acts of terrorism (“On this spot Elhanan Aharon was killed. From his blood we will live and build Jerusalem.”) while Palestinians complain that they are losing the competition for control of these ancient byways and that those in the occupied West Bank are barred from coming without special permission.

Despite less than mediocre performances during past Olympic games, Arab athletes and coaches say they are hoping to make their best showing yet in Beijing.
In nearly 100 years of Olympic competition, the combined tally of medals won by all Arab countries is 73.
At 22 countries, the Arab nations constitute almost 11 per cent of the total number of participating nations (204). However, the average number of medals won - 3.48 medals every four years - has been uninspiring.
In the last Olympic games in Athens, for example, Arab countries won only 10 of the 929 medals available - a little over one per cent.
Shouaa Ghada, a Syrian heptathlete who won a gold medal at the 1996 Atlanta games, told Al Jazeera Sports that she is hopeful that Arabs will be among the medallists this year.
"Algeria is heading in the right path [in terms of preparation]," she said, adding that she expected Sudanese runner Abubaker Kaki to bring a medal home.
Kaki, who became the youngest world indoor winner of the 800-metre final in March 2008, hopes to secure Sudan's first gold medal.
On June 6, 2008 he set a new World Junior record at the Bislett Games Golden League meeting in Oslo, Norway, finishing in 1:42.69.

Three months ago, the B'Tselem human rights organization gave Muna al-Nawaja a video camera. Nawaja, 24, lives near the Israeli settlement of Sussya, in the southern West Bank. Between caring for her young son and tending the family's sheep, she learned to use the camera, fell in love with it and now carries it with her everywhere.
But its "baptism of fire" occurred last week, on Sunday afternoon. Most Israelis were busy preparing for the Shavuot holiday. But some had a different priority: savagely beating Nawaja's relatives. She managed to capture a few seconds of the beating - in which her 57-year-old aunt was severely injured, and two uncles, age 60 and 33 were hurt - on film. But she never dreamed that it would prove to be the main, and possibly only, evidence available to the police investigating the assault.
Before the cameras were donated to some Palestinians, the Israeli government would never investigate saying, these people are lying and never tell the truth.
When is the hate going to stop? It's clearly the Israeli government that is conducting a genocide in this writers opinion. There has been too much evidence to the contrary... Israeli government taking land that is supposed to be part of the peace pact with Palestine. Israel demanding it owns Jerusalem even though the Palestinians what East Jerusalem for their capital.
Its greed and complete hate from the Israeli government towards the Palestinians that is making the peace prospect all but impossible. Ironically, a majority of Israelis agree that their government is at fault.
Incidentally, I saw the video on cnn and it was horrible. I couldn't find it to post it here, but I promise I will if I find it can convert it....peace,Three months ago, the B'Tselem human rights organization gave Muna al-Nawaja a... more

Israel sought on Monday to lower U.S. expectations for any deal with the Palestinians this year, brushing aside pressure over settlements and calling for decisions on Jerusalem's future to be deferred.
U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice ended her sixth trip to the region this year with no sign of progress in nudging both sides toward a peace deal by the end of 2008.
Image above is a satellite view of the region needing peace. Let's visualize peace in Israel and Palestine and bring some good vibes to the table. Rice didn't and the Israeli Government didn't.
All the Israeli government needs to do is give back most of the land they illegally took from Palestine. As far as Jerusalem is concerned, both countries want to control it and it is a major obstacle. My idea is to give Jerusalem to an International concern and have both countries in charge. Jerusalem belongs to the world.
Remember, lets visualize peace while looking at the picture of the region there!Israel sought on Monday to lower U.S. expectations for any deal with the Palestinians... more

An example for Israel and Palestine to ponder...
Areas that had been cut off for years because of fighting are finally opening up. And a cautious optimism seems to be spreading across the land.
“It looks like peace,” said Ama Hayyarimana, a father of eight. “But you never know.”
After 15 years of off-again-on-again civil war, the last of Burundi’s rebel groups has finally come to the negotiating table. A cease-fire signed in late May is still holding, and for the first time all the decision makers — including top rebel leaders who until recently had been demonized as terrorists and commanded troops from exile — are in the same place, here in the capital, Bujumbura.

What exactly is the role of the AIPAC?
Is it merely a lobbying group, or is it an intelligence-gathering network? AIPAC/Israeli government has been caught spying on America, They have broken the most UN treaties.
What gives?
Will Israel get rid of its 150+ Nuclear missiles? (Illegal according to International law)
Will Israel ever give back land it illegally took from Palestinians? (without giving these people a place to live, basically throwing them to the wolves)
Will Israel ever let medical supplies go thru to to save the lives of many innocent Palestinian woman and children? (If that was done to Britain guess what would happen??)
Will Israel ever stop killing innocent people including reporters reporting on whats happening there?
Why does Israel get away with breaking international law, going as far as diminishing the population of the Palestinians by bocking food and much needed medical supplies. Sounds like (and I'm not saying it is) a genocide being carried out by the Israeli government. Remember, its not the people, it is the government committing these atrocious acts.
Israel needs to be accountable for the laws that have been broken, since other countries are always scrutinized, punished and worse for similar crimes.
Not just Israels security, but the worlds security depends on Israel coming clean and giving the Palestinian people a fair deal, a fair deal that will bring a more peaceful world. In my opinion, Israel is the reason for most of the bloodshed in todays world.
And one more thing...anti antisemitism is not the criticizing of the government or people, it is the hate and racism toward them. Therefore, it is not an acceptable argument with this writer since there is no hate nor racism inferred and I have many friends from many nations, including Israel and Palestine.
We just want peace.

Arab leaders have reacted with anger and disbelief to an intensely pro-Israeli speech delivered by Barack Obama, the US Democratic presumptive presidential nominee.
Obama told the influential annual policy conference of the American Israel Public Affairs Council (Aipac): "Jerusalem will remain the capital of Israel and it must remain undivided."
His comments appalled Palestinians who see occupied East Jerusalem as part of a future Palestinian state.
Saeb Erekat, the chief Palestinian negotiator, told Al Jazeera on Thursday: "This is the worst thing to happen to us since 1967 ... he has given ammunition to extremists across the region".
"What really disppoints me is that someone like Barack Obama, who runs a campaign on the theme of change - when it comes to Aipac and what's needed to be said differently about the Palestinian state, he fails."
"I say to Obama ... please stop being more Israeli than the Israelis themselves, leave the Israelis and Palestinians alone to make decisions required for peace."
Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian president, rejected the statement, saying: "We will not accept an independent Palestinian state without having Jerusalem as the capital.
"I believe that case is clear."
He said: "Jerusalem is part of the six points that are subjects on the negotiations' agenda.
"And the whole world knows that East Jerusalem, Arab Jerusalem and Holy Jerusalem were occupied in 1967."

Israel's fears that Iran could obtain nuclear weapons and the Israeli government's attempts to negotiate peace with the Palestinians and Syria are top agenda items when Israel's beleaguered prime minister, Ehud Olmert, meets President Bush.
"Beleaguered" is an understatement. Both these leaders have some major issues to contend with besides world politics and peace. But Peace, the way the real Mideast and Israel wants are two different things. When the Palestinians meet demands, Israel comes back with something else for the Palestinians to meet. The Israeli government continuously puts another roadblock up so real peace is unattainable. (Read "Center of the Storm" by former CIA director George Tennent)
Israel government needs to give back land it illegally took from the Palestinian people, throwing them out into the street without medical and food supplies and continually making it impossible for these people to live. It is a genocide in the making and something needs to take place to afford these people a way of life. Only then will we see peace and no more bloodshed from either side.
As far as the nukes are concerned, Israeli governments illegal possession of these weapons makes them a axis of evil in this writers eyes. The only reason they are afraid of Iran possessing them is that Iran may step up to the plate and put an end to the crimes Israeli government has committed.

"PROMISES follows the journey of one of the filmmakers, Israeli-American B.Z. Goldberg. B.Z. travels to a Palestinian refugee camp and to an Israeli settlement in the West Bank, and to the more familiar neighborhoods of Jerusalem where he meets seven Palestinian and Israeli children.
Though the children live only 20 minutes apart, they exist in completely separate worlds; the physical, historical and emotional obstacles between them run deep.
PROMISES explores the nature of these boundaries and tells the story of a few children who dared to cross the lines to meet their neighbors. Rather than focusing on political events, the seven children featured in PROMISES offer a refreshing, human and sometimes humorous portrait of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
PROMISES, a film by Justine Shapiro, B.Z. Goldberg and co-director and editor Carlos Bolado, was shot between 1995-2000."

"A thought-provoking and powerful documentary film on the current and historical root causes of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Unlike any other film ever produced on the conflict -- 'Occupation 101' presents a comprehensive analysis of the facts and hidden truths surrounding the never ending controversy and dispels many of its long-perceived myths and misconceptions.
The film also details life under Israeli military rule, the role of the United States in the conflict, and the major obstacles that stand in the way of a lasting and viable peace. The roots of the conflict are explained through first-hand on-the-ground experiences from leading Middle East scholars, peace activists, journalists, religious leaders and humanitarian workers whose voices have too often been suppressed in American media outlets.
The film covers a wide range of topics -- which include -- the first wave of Jewish immigration from Europe in the 1880's, the 1920 tensions, the 1948 war, the 1967 war, the first Intifada of 1987, the Oslo Peace Process, Settlement expansion, the role of the United States Government, the second Intifada of 2000, the separation barrier and the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, as well as many heart wrenching testimonials from victims of this tragedy.
Occupation 101 features a leading list of some of the most credible Middle East scholars, historians, peace activists, journalists, and humanitarian workers."
