While campaign laws strictly state that a Super PAC cannot coordinate or contact a political candidate directly, or strategize with that candidate, it is not against the law for the two individuals to be in the same room. But are we really to believe that Santorum’s right-wing sugar daddy, who has bankrolled his Super PAC, shared the same stage with him and the two weren’t strategizing or discussing the campaign? Do they really believe that the American voter is as dumb as all that?

[Unless you are a political party hack, then you can stay home]
Caucuses are the smallest, most grassroots meetings of the political party system.
This is the year you must go to your caucus, regardless of your political party preference.
Based on the State of the Nation, it should be clear that the people that have been attending the past caucuses haven’t made the best decisions.
In Minnesota, your caucus date is Tuesday, February 7, 2012.

For far too long now, we rank and file Americans have dutifully voted for the candidates of our respective political parties. WE THE PEOPLE have chosen and remained loyal to our respective political parties because we believed in our respective party’s platform and were persuaded by the promises of our political party candidates before each election.

The Union Leader newspaper, an influential voice in state politics, today ran a scathing front-page editorial reminding Obama that voters rejected him in the state's 2008 primary in favor of Hillary Clinton.
http://unionleader.com/article/20111122/OPINION01/711229985
Obama is getting a chilling welcome on his first visit to New Hampshire today, the first one in two years. The Union Leader's editorial is a signal to Obama that they are not happy with him at all.
In the last paragraph of the article it states; "Here is hoping that seven weeks from today, primary voters here will put the nation on a path to unseating this glib, clueless disaster of a President."The Union Leader newspaper, an influential voice in state politics, today ran a... more

Just a week after vaulting into the top tier of GOP presidential candidates with a surprise straw poll victory in Florida, Herman Cain is aggressively pressing his case, calling out rivals within his own party — Texas Gov. Rick Perry is “insensitive” to blacks, and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie too liberal for conservatives — while also stepping up his criticism of President Obama.
The former Godfather’s Pizza executive capped off the biggest week of what was once considered a quixotic campaign with two new straw poll wins, an appearance on Jay Leno’s “Tonight Show” and a Sunday morning blitz of major news-talk shows.
On “Fox News Sunday,” the Georgia businessman and former radio talk-show host downplayed the possible impact of Mr. Christie making a late entry into the GOP race.
Mr. Christie’s positions on immigration, gun rights, civil unions and global warming will “turn off a lot of conservatives,” Mr. Cain asserted.
“I believe that a lot of conservatives … will not be able to support him,” he said.
Mr. Christie, who is reportedly considering a presidential bid, has in the past supported restrictions on automatic weapons. He also has said being in the country without proper documentation is not a crime, and that climate change is real and partially manmade.
Mr. Cain also weighed in on the latest controversy dogging Mr. Perry: A Washington Post report that he regularly hosted gatherings at a West Texas hunting camp with a racially repugnant name painted on a rock at the entrance to its acreage.
The Perry campaign said the offensive word on the rock was painted over in the 1980s, soon after the Perry family began leasing the hunting camp — a claim disputed by some camp visitors interviewed by The Post.
Asked about the story, Mr. Cain said the Texas governor should have taken action sooner.
“My reaction is, that’s just very insensitive,” Mr. Cain said Sunday. “There isn’t a more vile, negative word than the N-word, and for him to leave it there as long as he did before, I hear, that they finally painted over it, is just plain insensitive to a lot of black people in this country.”

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -Popular Gov. Joe Manchin won the Democratic nomination Saturday and will face GOP primary winner and wealthy businessman John Raese in the race to fill the Senate seat vacated by the late Robert C. Byrd.
In Louisiana, scandal-tainted Republican U.S. Sen. David Vitter easily beat two little-known challengers and will meet Democratic Rep. Charlie Melancon, who won his party's primary, in November.
Vitter survived a 2007 prostitution scandal after he admitted an unspecified "serious sin" after his phone number appeared in the records of a Washington prostitution ring. He has also shrugged off fresh questions about his judgment in allowing an aide to remain on his staff for more than two years after a violent attack on a woman police identified as his ex-girlfriend.
With little competition from his own party, he and Melancon have already engaged in a war of attack ads.
The primary in West Virginia was hastily called after Byrd, a 92-year-old Democrat elected to a record ninth term in 2006, died June 28.
Manchin won his seventh-straight statewide campaign. He enjoys high approval ratings and was seen as a comforter-in-chief to victims' families following the Upper Big Branch mine explosion, which killed 29 workers in April, and the Sago mine disaster in 2006.
"I'm running for the U.S. Senate to represent all the people," said Manchin, 63. "It's going to be a sprint now and we're prepared."CHARLESTON, W.Va. -Popular Gov. Joe Manchin won the Democratic nomination Saturday and... more

The move to construct a musical fountain, a rock garden, a restaurant, an amphitheatre & a parking space inside the 12 acre Nishad Bagh defies logic.
The Brindavan Garden & the GRS Fantasy/Amusement Park are on the outskirts of the city whereas the Nishad Bagh is right in the heart of the city near the Hardinge Circle / Mysore Palace.
Citizens go to the parks in the city limits to enjoy nature, trees, peace, serenity & tranquillity & certainly not for eating, entertainment, fun and frolic. 3 other parks are very close to Nishad Bagh.
They're People's Park towards its north-west, Gandhi Vana (Horticulture Park) towards its south & Curzon Park towards its west.
The musical fountain with all its noise pollution in the evenings will/would disturb the bird habitat and the sleeping / hunting habits / patterns & rest timings of the non-nocturnal & nocturnal/night birds (which hunt at night) & the nearby students of the Vanivilasa Ursu Girls’ Primary / Secondary High School & College.http://picasaweb.google.co.in/indian.tanveer.photos/NishadBaghKuppannaPark... more

INDIANAPOLIS – Republicans are scrambling to hold onto Rep. Mark Souder's seat following the evangelical Christian's decision to resign over an extramarital affair with a staffer with whom he made a video touting the benefits of abstinence education.
Gov. Mitch Daniels has said he will call a special election this summer to determine who will serve the remainder of Souder's eighth term — just two weeks after he won a bruising primary in the Republican-leaning district.
Souder's revelation Tuesday of the affair follows the resignation of Democratic Rep. Eric Massa of New York in March amid an investigation into whether he sexually harassed male staffers and admissions of extramarital affairs by South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford and Nevada Sen. John Ensign — both Republicans who have held onto their offices.
The confession by Souder — an evangelical Christian who promoted abstinence education and was known for his outspoken views on religion — stunned some voters in his district.

Tea party-backed challengers and other outsiders were shut out in competitive House and Senate primaries across three states on Tuesday night, the busiest night so far in an election season of optimism for Republicans.
While some of Tuesday night's Republican primary winners struggled to prevail; former Indiana Sen. Dan Coats' comeback bid advanced with 40 percent of the vote in a five-way race; the results renewed a debate about the clout of the insurgents in the remaining primaries and on elections this fall.
As the Washington Post's Dave Weigel points out "candidates of or supported by the tea party movement fell short":

Debra Medina Defiant in Defeat | Print | E-mail
WRITTEN BY JOE WOLVERTON, II
WEDNESDAY, 03 MARCH 2010 11:50
As Debra Medina sat with her husband in their hometown campaign office in Wharton, Texas, watching the numbers come in, she knew that she was not going to be the next governor of the Lone Star state. In fact, the statewide support demonstrated for Mrs. Medina (18 percent) was not enough to force a run-off with incumbent Rick Perry.
With 98 percent of the vote counted, Governor Perry narrowly avoided a statutorily mandated run-off election by garnering just over 51 percent of the votes in Tuesday’s Republican Gubernatorial Primary election. According to the Texas Election Code, if any candidate fails to receive a majority of the votes cast in a contested election, then the top two vote-getters must face each other in a runoff to determine the party’s candidate in the general election. Rick Perry barely cleared that hurdle and will now face Bill White, the former mayor of Houston and winner of the Democratic Primary also held Tuesday.
Speaking to supporters and reporters gathered in Wharton to watch the results tabulate from across the state, Debra Medina praised her volunteers for their hard work and the remarkable demonstration of the determination to “restore liberty and prosperity to Texas.” Mrs. Medina assured the throng that while they may not have won the state house, they certainly were “winning the hearts and minds of fellow Texans.”
Noticeably, Mrs. Medina neither conceded nor congratulated Governor Perry for his victory. Fellow candidate, Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison, however, called Perry and conceded the election once the numbers were decidedly in his favor. Hutchison has not decided whether or not to keep her senate seat, despite promising voters that regardless of the outcome of Tuesday’s primary she would do just that.
While this electoral defeat is certainly deflating for the thousands of Medina supports throughout Texas and the United States, there is reason to rejoice even in the midst of mourning. Mrs. Medina’s message of restoring state sovereignty by firm resistance to the expansion of federal power is resonating across the nation and local lawmakers in nearly every state are boldly proclaiming their defense of the Tenth Amendment’s protection of the inviolable right of the states or the people to govern in all areas not specifically enumerated by the Constitution as the province of Congress.
Mrs. Medina made a statement on her campaign’s Facebook page wherein she states that she “remains committed to the fight,” declaring that “liberty and prosperity hang in the balance.” She ends with a flourish worthy of her noble effort: “Rest, regroup and ONWARD!”
The question remains: Onward toward what? There are those calling for Mrs. Medina to throw her hat into the ring for the senate seat that may or may not be vacated by Kay Bailey Hutchison. Understandably, Mrs. Medina has made no statement regarding this unlikely scenario, but her tireless canvassing of the state would unarguably redound to her benefit were such an undertaking be in her plans.
For now, Constitutionalists in Texas and elsewhere may take comfort in the fact that every major newspaper and television news outlet in America was forced to take notice of Debra Medina, a woman who before this campaign had never run for elective office. Mrs. Medina’s unwavering commitment to her convictions and her adamant refusal to be cowered by the coffers and the overwhelming budgets and boosters of her opponents is an example to all those who are willing to sacrifice their time and treasure in the defense of our great republic.
Well done, Mrs. Medina. Good luck in your future endeavors and thank you for your valiant and virtuous campaign.http://www.thenewamerican.com/index.php/usnews/politics/3059-debra-medina-defiant-in-de... more
