All right, so this story is a bit out of date, but interesting nonetheless.

The audience of thousands and concert organizers were apparently shocked by the unplanned event while the controversial band The Cumshots preformed. According the the couple, the act was to "draw attention to the rain forests, which are in the process of disappearing." The couple also operates a "Fuck for Forests" porn site that reportedly donates its proceeds to environmental groups.
Terror-suspect-kept-visa-to-avoid-tipping-off-larger-investigationWashington --The State Department didn't revoke the visa of foiled terrorism suspect Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab because federal counterterrorism officials had begged off revocation, a top State Department official revealed Wednesday.
Patrick F. Kennedy, an undersecretary for management at the State Department, said Abdulmutallab's visa wasn't taken away because intelligence officials asked his agency not to deny a visa to the suspected terrorist over concerns that a denial would've foiled a larger investigation into al-Qaida threats against the United States.
"Revocation action would've disclosed what they were doing," Kennedy said in testimony before the House Committee on Homeland Security. Allowing Adbulmutallab to keep the visa increased chances federal investigators would be able to get closer to apprehending the terror network he is accused of working with, "rather than simply knocking out one solider in that effort."
The committee's hearing continues a series across Capitol Hill that started last week, all looking into the events leading up to and after the attempted bombing of Flight 253 over Detroit. Law enforcement officials say Abdulmutallab tried to detonate an explosive hidden in his underwear on board the flight from Amsterdam shortly before its landing at Detroit Metropolitan Airport in Romulus on Christmas Day.
Since the failed attack, criticism has swirled around leaders of the U.S. intelligence community who have indicated they were warned by the suspect's father about a month before the flight of a potential terror threat, but failed to stop Abdmutallab, despite other warning signs like the fact that he purchased a one-way ticket to Detroit with cash.
Politicians have also criticized the decision to treat Abdulmutallab as a civilian after the arrest in Michigan, with Miranda rights being read to him after less than an hour of interrogation and without input from the intelligence community.
Rep. Candice Miller, R-Harrison Township, the only Michigan House member on the Homeland Security Committee, said in a Tuesday statement that she planned to question officials on that matter at today's hearing.
Austin police recently seized crack cocaine disguised as potato chips from a man.
Kevin Ray Landry, 35, faces federal charges for intent to distribute. He was taken into custody on July 3. Police say he had approximately 10 grams of cocaine in his possession.
Police then obtained a search warrant for Landry's car where they found 168 grams of crack cocaine. The drugs were hidden in potato chip containers and shaped like wafers.
Since 1994, police have seized $50,000 from Landry in nine other incidents.
"When you go to federal prison you do all your time, you get 30 [years] you do 30 [years.] And because we've been working on this guy for so long we are going to go for the maximum we can do so that we don't have to chase him around the block again," APD Commander Harold Piatt said.

Sarpy County Lt. Steve Grabowski tells 1110 KFAB they found more than 90 videos on YouTube showing David Johnson and his 17 and 19 year old sons smoking pot. Investigators also seized 50 bongs and pipes from Johnson's house during the January 12th search.
Johnson has been charged with misdemeanor child abuse and possesion of drug paraphernalia and marijuana. Johnson's oldest son Tavis was cited for marijuana possesion, and the 17 year old is now in foster care.
The Internet has become a tool for law enforcement officials in recent years and Grabowski says anyone who engages in illegal online activity
can end up in jail.
North Korea says it has detained a US citizen for illegally entering its territory across the border from China.
The official news agency KCNA said the man, who has not been identified, had been arrested on Monday and was now being questioned.
North Korea is currently holding another US citizen, Robert Park.
Mr Park crossed a frozen border river from China on 25 December, to make a protest against repression in the hard-line Communist North.
The US has been seeking access to Mr Park through the Swedish embassy in Pyongyang, which represents American interests in North Korea.
Last year two US journalists, Laura Ling and Euna Lee, were also arrested on the border with China.
They were sentenced to 12 years' hard labour but freed after four months in captivity, as part of a diplomatic mission spearheaded by former US President Bill Clinton in August.
"The FBI, alleging a plot to wiretap Democratic Sen. Mary Landrieu's office in downtown New Orleans, arrested four people Monday, including James O'Keefe, a conservative filmmaker whose undercover videos at ACORN field offices severely damaged the the advocacy group's credibility," the Times-Picayune reports.
An FBI affidavit says four people were arrested Monday. At least two of them were dressed in work clothes and construction hats and claimed they were technicians for a telephone company. It's not clear from the affidavit why they might have been trying to interfere with the system.
O'Keefe, 25, was already in Landrieu's New Orleans office Monday when Robert Flanagan and Joseph Basel, both 24, showed up claiming to be telephone repairmen, according to U.S. Attorney Jim Letten's office. Letten says O'Keefe recorded the two with his cell phone. Once inside the reception area, Flanagan, the son of acting U.S. Attorney Bill Flanagan in Shreveport, and Basel asked for access to the main phone at the reception desk. After handling the phone, "Flanagan and Basel next requested access to the telephone closet because they needed to perform work on the main telephone system," Letten's office said. The men were directed to another office in the building, they're accused of again misrepresenting themselves as telephone repairmen. They were arrested later by the U.S. Marshal's Service. Details of the arrest were not available. A fourth man, Stan Dai, 24, was also arrested, but Letten's office said only that he assisted the others in planning, coordinating and preparing the operation.

I began my life in the mid 60s. My father was in the Air Force at the time so we didn't stay in one place long. The thing about being a military 'brat' is that you learn to adapt and to make friends quickly. My travels included living in a trailer at a military base, stays in Wisconsin, Georgia, Kentucky, Colorado, California, Illinois and back to Kentucky. Not long after graduating high school I started my own business. My business had clients in all counties of Kentucky and some in Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee, and West Virginia. After ten years the business closed and I took a job traveling all over the country; a new town in a new state every week. Occasionally, I was hired to travel out of the country. On one trip we left Detroit and entered Canada. I had several days off of work so after the wedding I attended in Canada I decided to drive across Canada hugging the small rural roads near the Great Lakes and making my way to Niagara Falls. From there we left for Kentucky through the states. I even spent 4 weeks in San Juan and befriended a cab driver immediately at the airport. The rest of the time, when I had free time, I road around with the cab driver to get a native's perspective and meet his passengers. Why do I tell you this? I tell you this to lend credentials to what I am about to tell you. We are all the same, basically. The average Joe is the average Joe no matter where you go.
So....why do we fight between the left and the right? Because they told us to.

So....why did we bail out the same banks that have been ripping us off for years? That's right.

So....why do we sit here, helpless, after Geithner stole our money? Because they told us to.
So....why do we allow the war crimes of torture to be committed by our government? Yes, because they told us to.
So....why do we allow our Bill of Rights and Constitution to be shredded by a government 'Of The People'? It's a sure bet, because they told us to.
So....why do we stay inside, watch TV, avoid the sun, the neighbors, the Earth? You got it. Because they told us to.
So....why do we kill thousands of innocent foreigners? Because they told us to?
So....why did we invade Iraq? Because they told us to.
So....why did we stop questioning our government and holding them accountable? Because they told us to?
So....why do we sit here while our planet is destroyed and our brothers and sisters around the globe are murdered in the name of resources and profit? Because they told us to.
We are all one humanity. All with one wish. The wish to be left alone, to live free, to help out our neighbor and expect the same from them. The wish to love one another, cherish freedom, cherish the Earth, and all benefit from what everyone has to offer.
Our governments now have the power to do unimaginable things with technology. The question is WHY? Why do we spend so much on bombs when we are bankrupt? Why do we kick Americans out of their homes when everyone's home could be paid for with the money spent on wars? Why do people still live on the streets in America when shelters could be built in every single town with the money we spend on wars? Why do we allow Banksters to give bonuses at all with the money borrowed from our children's future? Why do we taze little children and elderly women? Why do we allow lobbyists to buy and sell our 'representatives'? Why did the Supreme Court rule that there's no limit to how much a corporation can spend to buy your government? Why did the Detroit 'bomber' get help passing all security while boarding the plane?
Time to grow up and stop doing what they tell you to do. Ask questions, demand answers.

Five members of the Supreme Court declared that a “corporation” is a person, not a “regular person” but one above all natural laws, subject to no God, no moral code but one with unlimited power over our lives, a power awarded by judges who seem themselves as grand inquisitors in an meant to hunt down all heretics who fail to serve their god, the god of money.
Their ruling has made it legal for foreign controlled corporations to flush unlimited money into our bloated political system to further corrupt something none of us trust and most of us fear. The “corporation/person” that the 5 judges, the “neo-con” purists, have turned the United States over to isn’t even American. Our corporations, especially since our economic meltdown are owned by China, Russia and the oil sheiks along with a few foreign banks. They don’t vote, pay taxes, fight in wars, need dental care, breathe air, drive cars or send children to school. Anyone who thinks these things are people is insane. Anyone who would sell our government to them is a criminal and belongs in prison. There is nothing in the Constitution that makes this “gang of five” bribe sucking clowns above the law. There is nothing in the Constitution that even mentions corporations much less gives them status equal to or greater than the Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches of government.
The Supreme Court of the United States has no right to breathe human life into investment groups owned by terrorist sympathizers, foreign arms dealers or groups working for the downfall of the United States and everything we believe in, but 5 “justices” have done just that. We now have a new government above our government, above our people, one above any law. Five judges have created institutionalized gangsterism as the new form of government for the United States.
No American soldier can ever go to war fighting for a Chinese hedge fund, a German bank or a Saudi Arabian fertilizer company. Will our new debates in Congress be between members representing the opium warlords against the Columbian cartels? Their cash, which long ago has infiltrated one major corporation or bank after another is now heading for your local representative. How important do you think secure borders for America are for these new policial “influencers?”
For years we complained about AIPAC, the Sierra Club, the NRA, trial lawyers, trade unions, NAM (National Association of Manufacturers) and the churches that got involved in politics. Behind all of these were people, American citizens, and, on some occasions, Americans who fought for their country, raised kids here and were invested in the survival of America although they didn’t always act that way. This was an American problem. Now we aren’t even sure we have an America anymore.
Anyone who believes that a massive flood of corporate money into politics won’t throw control of both houses of Congress into the hands of the wealthy nations that are also our primary strategic enemies, you know the ones, the ones loaded with oil cash, the ones with 10 cent an hour labor and legal systems that shoot first and ask questions later. They just were told they can buy the United States, not just our government, but our military, and the lives of our soldiers. They can now make our laws, raise our taxes, decide on our civil rights, where we can live, if we can own guns, how late we stay up, where and what we drive and, eventually, how we think. The Supreme Court has given foreign owned corporations the eventual power to silence us all.
When a corporation commits a crime, nobody goes to jail. When wars come, they don’t fight, they simply rake in cash.

A number of opposition figures have been arrested in Iran, a day after violent protests in the capital left at least eight people dead.
Those detained include senior aides to opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi.
His nephew Seyed Ali Mousavi was among those killed in Sunday's violence, the worst since June's contested elections.
Family members say they are being prevented from holding his funeral because his body has been taken from the hospital where it was being kept.
His brother, Seyed Reza Mousavi, is quoted by the reformist website Parlemannews as saying: "Nobody accepts responsibility for taking away the body... We cannot have a funeral before we find the body."
Other opposition sources say the body has been taken by government agents in order to prevent his funeral becoming a rallying point for more protests.
Foreign media face severe restrictions in Iran and these reports cannot be verified.
