This self-professed 'man of God,' who recently advocated divorce from spouses who suffer from Alzheimer's, actually accused President Obama of stoking the fire of fear and class warfare by "attacking" rich people who travel by private jets, while characterizing the citizens involved in the Occupy Wall Street movement as "clowns."

When you're talking about the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) a good defense is apparently a good offense - and no one is more offensive than Pat Robertson.
Robertson, God's official gaffemeister, says it's okay to punch out of a presumably 'traditional' marriage if one spouse has Alzheimer's.When you're talking about the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) a good defense is... more

Pat Robertson's latest crusade against the Thundering Herd of Queerosity is a rip-roaring fantasy - aborting babies to "level the playing field" for lesbians. He claims to speak directly with God on the celestial hotline daily, but this is more proof that God really should get a better PR man to service his temporal account.Pat Robertson's latest crusade against the Thundering Herd of Queerosity is a... more

On his Christian Broadcasting Network today, televangelist Pat Robertson told viewers:
And you know, Christy, something happened a long time ago in Haiti, and people might not want to talk about it, they were under the heel of the French, uh, you know, Napoleon the third and whatever, and they got together and swore a pact to the devil, they said, we will serve you, if you get us free from the Prince, true story. And so the devil said, 'OK, it's a deal.' And they kicked the French out, the Haitians revolted and got themselves free, and ever since they have been cursed by one thing after the other, desperately poor. . . the Island of Hispaniola is one island cut down the middle. On the one side is Haiti, on the other side is the Dominican Republic. Dominican Republic is, is, prosperous, healthy, full of resorts, etc. Haiti is in desperate poverty, same Islands, uh, they need to have, and we need to pray for them, a great turning to God. And out of this tragedy, I'm optimistic something good may come, but right now we're helping the suffering people, and the suffering is unimaginable. On his Christian Broadcasting Network today, televangelist Pat Robertson told viewers:... more

(CNN) — Pat Robertson, the evangelical Christian who once suggested God was punishing Americans with Hurricane Katrina, says a “pact to the devil” brought on the devastating earthquake in Haiti.
Officials fear more than 100,000 people have died as a result of Tuesday’s 7.0-magnitude earthquake in Haiti.
Robertson, the host of the “700 Club,” blamed the tragedy on something that “happened a long time ago in Haiti, and people might not want to talk about it.”Pat Robertson says Haiti paying for ‘pact to the devil’

Hard-hitting journalism is nearing extinction on television, and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) just threw another shovel-full of dirt on its grave when it recently ruled that Rupert Murdoch's TMZ and Pat Robertson's 700 Club meet the test for "a bona fide newscast."
Media companies get their broadcast licenses for free. In return, the FCC says that if a TV show is not a bona fide newscast, and it airs a story about a political candidate, "it must afford equal opportunities to other such candidates for that office."
This is supposed to keep ideologues like Pat Robertson and Rupert Murdoch in check. But instead the FCC let them off the hook by adding TMZ and 700 Club to the list of bona fide newscasts; even though Congress defined bona fide as newscasts as those that hold "genuine news value" and are not intended to boost or aid any particular political candidate.
We need a lot less 'cheap junk news' and a lot more real news. Junk is not good for you. Keep the government out of the news as much as possible.Hard-hitting journalism is nearing extinction on television, and the Federal... more

It's time for more highlights from all the terrible television action you missed this week. The common theme this time around seems to be physical discomfort a squirming cat, a frowning cheerleader, crotch-stomping acrobats, and a tired old gypsy. We threw in a clip of Pat Robertson to pass that feeling of uneasiness on to you. Enjoy (with video links). It's time for more highlights from all the terrible television action you missed... more
