Hmmm … do you think that threats leveled against the creators of South Park for last week’s episode came from Tea Partiers? Buddhists enraged over the depiction of Buddha snorting cocaine? Redheads incensed over their depiction as terrorists? Comedy Central execs embarrassed over the slam they received for their pusillanimity in handling a previous episode dealing with censorship? Barbara Streisand? Not exactly. We Are The World, Haiti (VIDEO): New Version For Haiti Earthquake Victims
LOS ANGELES (AP)- The revamped “We Are the World” made its world premiere Friday during NBC’s coverage of the opening ceremonies of the Winter Olympics, and a simultaneous worldwide screening of the full, seven-minute version of the music video is planned for Saturday.
The worldwide simulcast on 53 domestic and international channels is planned for 2 p.m. (1900 GMT) Eastern time.
A three-minute version of the video aired Friday. Filmed by Oscar winner Paul Haggis, the video shows images of devastation from the island nation after the January 12 earthquake that has claimed more than 200,000 lives.

It was announced earlier today that Barbra Streisand will be auctioning off all of her old dresses, gowns, rugs, paintings, wigs, furniture and more on October 17 and 18 The collection strongly resembles my grandmother's last garage sale. Barbra, we can safely say was a knick-knack-aholic, the auction catalog is exploding with a wide selection of collectibles and chatskis. One eye rubbing item from the sale is the Dior outfit above that Babs wore to the 1986 Grammy Awards- ehh gads. All the clothing on sale, except for most of her movie costumes, is an exercise in questionably taste. I don't care if her wardrobe is all design-nah, The woman owns more pant suits than Hilary Clinton. Lucky for Streisand she has incredible pipes. The nation's financials may be in a spiral, but cash is flowing into the Obama campaign faster than Marvin Hamlisch can play "Niagara"!
Yesterday, Obama declared how we are in "the most serious financial crisis since the Great Depression."
Today he will host a dinner in Beverly Hills --- costing attendees $28,500 dollars each!
Hundreds of high rollers, including some of the biggest executives in film, television and music, will munch gourmet chow and hang out with the candidate.
Streisand will then sing at the five-star Beverly Wilshire, no doubt reviving the Depression-era standard "Happy Days Are Here Again" with new urgency.
Obama is set to break a single-day fundraising record of $9 million.
Tuesday's events in Tinseltown come after Obama racked up a record-breaking $66 million dollars in fundraising last month, beating his previous high mark of $55 million last winter.
"The fundamentals of our economy are strong, but these are still very, very difficult times," rival McCain said, sunny-side up.

Not in a sexy personal way, but at a fundraiser for the Democrat's presidential nominee, Mr Barack Obama.
The event, co-hosted, amongst others, by Dreamworks partners Steven Spielberg will be held in LA on September 16 at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.
The 700 seats are expected fetch at least $2,500.

Barbra Streisand has donated $5 million to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles for a women's heart education and research program, the hospital said on Wednesday.
The gift will create permanent funding for the Barbra Streisand Women's Cardiovascular Research and Education at Cedars-Sinai, and the hospital said it would expand research efforts there.
"Women need to be educated about female cardiovascular disease and the medical community must be propelled toward change," Streisand, 65, said in a written statement.Barbra Streisand has donated $5 million to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles... more
