Wow. Like Tom Six’s mutilating masterpiece The Human Centipede wasn't twisted enough, now a bunch of American uni students at Emerson College have turned it onto a musical. Yes, that's right. And it's very tongue in cheek...pun very much intended.

On their first trip together, Tom and Anna begin a roleplaying game in which Anna is a hitchhiker and Tom pretends to pick her up. Things take a dark turn, however, when Anna jumps head first into the game and Tom wants it to stop.

Boston City Council President Mike Ross pitched legislation that would compel colleges and universities to assist in enforcing the ban on apartment buildings renting out their units to more than four undergraduates.
As one might expect, the reaction from the universities has been mixed, and the reaction from the undergrads has been outrage.
However, a sharply-worded editorial in the Berkeley Beacon, Emerson College’s independent student-run newspaper, crossed a line by comparing Ross' actions to segregation of gays, blacks, and Jews.

If the council president is serious about his cap on coed cohabitation, history provides a number of examples from effective tyrants. For instance, forget forcing colleges to report off-campus students’ addresses. Hitler had Warsaw’s Jews wear armbands for easy identification by the SS. Tattoos were effective, too.

Really? Really?!
Enough with the Hitler analogies. Bush is Hitler. Obama is Hitler. Well, apparently, so is my cat, my coffee vendor, tobacco companies, atheists, vegetarians, Tom Cruise, and maple trees.
Such loosely-based Hitler/Nazi invocations weaken the memory of the true horrors of what Hitler did.
And here's the best part of this editorial fiasco...

All year I wait for the Academy Awards (and the Globes too, I guess) with eager anticipation. But this year might be different.
Award shows also need writers. We all know these ceremonies can be boring without a good laugh every five to ten minutes or so. With the writer's strike going on, writing waivers from both the Hollywood Foreign Press and the Academy of Motion Pictures and Sciences have been rejected.

In September of this year, Boston Artist/Engineers Dan Paluska and Jeff Lieberman were commissioned to design and create a three part musical robotic band. The sculpture can be controlled via the Internet and will be viewed live on display in New York City after the launch of the project on January 31st.
