Editor's Note: In the wake of the 7.0 Haiti earthquake, Bay Area-based Haiti Action Committe mobilized community members to ban together in solidarity and support of Haiti. Civil-rights attorney and Haiti earthquake surivivor Walter Riley shared his firsthand account of the devastation while Alameda County Supervisor Keith Carson pledged to send resources to Haiti.
