If you watched the FA cup semi Finals this weekend, you would have seen players struggling to manoeuvre around the pitch without slipping over.
Like stated in the article, some Tottenham fans might be upset by the pitch because it looks like one falling defender caused Portsmouth to gain it first goal from the game (they lost 0-2).
The groundsman (former groundsman for the Millennium Stadium) blames staff in charge of scheduling for the pitches quality.
"It's never going to be perfect because there will be times when the timescales between different events are so tight that you have to hold your hands up and say 'That is going to have to do for the next game'[...] It cannot ever be viewed like one of the Premier League grounds, unless Wembley look at reducing the amount of different events that are on there.
"-Dave Saltman
The next events for the pitch are FA cup Final, 'Coca-Cola Championship play-off final and Saracens' rugby union match against Harlequins to come at the stadium before England's friendly against Mexico on May 24'.If you watched the FA cup semi Finals this weekend, you would have seen players... more

Susan Boyle made a triumphant return to the stage after missing concerts last week on the BGT show’s live tour. Susan had taken a hiatus after stellar performances in Glasgow and Edinburgh, Scotland, and returned to the tour at Wembley Arena where she delivered yet another remarkable performance. She received a standing ovation when she appeared at Wembley, in London. Susan gave a standout performance of "I Dreamed A Dream" from the musical "Les Miserables," which brought her international fame when she first performed it on the ITV1 show.
Susan Boyle defies categorization and expectation, and prevails despite sometimes negative media coverage and rampant speculation. She demonstrates that whether or not she is able to appear at all of the BGT tour dates, she is resilient in pursuing her music career.

The English Football Association has announced that the current pitch will be dug up immediately and layed with new turf in the run up before the FA Trophy (9th May) and the FA Cup Final (30th May) as well as England's qualify against Andorra (10th June).
The current turf, the rye grass type, was heavily criticised after the FA Cup semi final because of the condition. The new turf will be a different composition.

One 25-year-old footie fan, and clear product of the Blue Peter generation, who was so disappointed not to get tickets to the Carling Cup final at Wembley on Sunday, has re-imagined the hallowed turf and 90,000 seater stadium in his own front room.
The walls are plastered with shots of the crowd, the carpet is actually fake turf to mimic the pitch and the TV is bang in the centre of the goal posts. He reckons he offers an unparalleled view of matches in his Didsbury living room and was even considering charging his friends an entrance fee to watch Sunday's final.
Oh and his team won so he doesn't look foolish for going to so much trouble ...One 25-year-old footie fan, and clear product of the Blue Peter generation, who was so... more

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will host the New England Patriots when the National Football League continues its International Series at London's Wembley Stadium on Sunday, October 25, 2009, the NFL announced today.
The Buccaneers and Patriots have been two of the NFL's most successful teams in recent years, combining to win four of the past seven Super Bowls. Both clubs are strong contenders for a return trip to the playoffs this season.
The contest will mark the third consecutive year of a competitive (regular-season) game at Wembley. On October 26, the New Orleans Saints beat the San Diego Chargers 37-32 in front of an 83,226 crowd, while the New York Giants overcame the Miami Dolphins 13-10 in October 2007 on their way to winning Super Bowl XLII.
