"Pirated copies of Apple's new iWork '09 suite that are now available on file-sharing sites contain a Trojan horse that hijacks Macs and leaves them open to further attack, a security company said yesterday. The 'iServices.a' Trojan hitchhikes on iWork '09's installer, said Intego, which makes Mac security software. 'The installer for the Trojan horse is launched as soon as a user begins the installation of iWork, following the installer's request of an administrator password,' Intego said in a warning. Once installed, the Trojan "phones home" to a malicious server to notify the hacker that the Mac has been compromised, and to await instructions.""Pirated copies of Apple's new iWork '09 suite that are now available... more

Leopard is a good OS but there are some things than can be improved. One thing that irks me is the low quality built-in screenshot mechanism. This can be changed with a couple of commands entered into Terminal. Thanks go out to creativebits.org and tuaw.com for reporting this.

There have been a lot of questions and doubt about Pystar's offering of a non-Mac rig that comes with Leopard installed, but now they have a customer and he's spreading the word. Some fun, very small, little fun tips.
My favorite:
In Leopard, the Help menu has a search box that appears right in the menu bar. If you type page numbering (or whatever) into it, the search-results menu lists the names of any matching menu commands. It also opens that menu for you, and displays a big, blue, animated, floating arrow pointing to the command you wanted. Youd have to have your eyes closed to miss it. (This works in all programs.)
