A North Rowan High School teacher tells a student he can be arrested for speaking ill of President Barack Obama,
The student tells his teacher that Obama admitted to bullying a girl in school. The teacher goes on the defensive.
“Stop, no, because there is no comparison,” she says. Romney, she says, is “running for president. Obama is the president.”
When the student says they’re both “just men,” the teacher continues to argue that Romney, as a candidate for president, is not to be afforded the same respect as the president.
The teacher tells the class Obama is “due the respect that every other president is due.”
“Listen, let me tell you something, you will not disrespect the president of the United States in this classroom,” she says.
The student replies that he’ll say what he wants.
“Not about him you won’t,” the teacher says.
Later in the conversation, the teacher tells the class it’s criminal to slander a president.
“Do you realize that people were arrested for saying things bad about Bush?” she says of former President Bush. “Do you realize you are not supposed to slander the president?”
The student responds by saying being arrested for talking badly about the president would violate the right to free speech.
“You would have to say some pretty f’d up crap about him to be arrested,” he says. “They cannot take away your right to have your opinion. ... They can’t take that away unless you threaten the president.”

Nearly a dozen of high school journalists walked out of a lecture by Dan Savage, the prominent ant-bullying advocate that pioneered the 'It Gets Better' campaign.
His comments about the relationship between anti-gay bullying and the bible sparked a walkout of Christian teens at the National High School Journalist Conference in Seattle.
Mr Savage called the defectors 'pansy-assed' and would not back down from his comments.
'I thought this would be about anti-bullying,' Rick Tuttle, the journalism adviser for Sutter Union High School in California, told Fox News.
'It turned into a pointed attack on Christian beliefs.'
Mr Savage's keynote address was presented in a large lecture hall for thousands of people.
A video of the lecture shows students beginning to walk out after Mr Savage started talking about the 'bullsh*t in the bible about gay people.'
'People often say that they can’t help with the anti-gay bullying acts because it says right there in Leviticus, it says right there in Timothy, it says right there in Romans, that being gay is wrong,' Mr Savage said.
'We can learn to ignore the bullsh*t in the Bible and what it says about gay people.'
He compared dogmatic acceptance of anti-gay teachings equivalent to adhering to verses about slavery and eating shellfish, two issues that have been reinterpreted in modern day.
Many people in the audience met his statements with applause, but some Christians did not appreciate Mr Savage's comparison and walked out.
'It became hostile,' he said. 'It felt hostile as we were sitting in the audience – especially towards Christians who espouse beliefs that he was literally taking on.'
Mr Savage recognized that his ideas were not going over well with the audience and addressed their concerns head on.
'The bible guys in the hall can come back now because I'm done beating up the bible,' he said.
'It's funny, as someone who's on the receiving end of beatings that are justified by the bible, how pansy-assed some people react when you push back.'
Mr Savage is renowned for his outspoken opinions on sexuality and anti-bullying.
In addition to creating the wildly successful and influential 'It Gets Better' campaign, he also writes a sex advice column 'Savage Love.'
'I apologize if I hurt anyone's feelings...but I have a right to defend myself,' he said.
The executive director of the National Scholastic Press Association that sponsored the conference also defended Mr Savage.
'We appreciate the level of thoughtfulness and deliberation regarding Dan Savage’s keynote address,' the NSPA wrote to Fox News.
'Some audience members who felt hurt by his words and tone decided to leave in the middle of his speech, and to this, we want to make our point very clear: While as a journalist it’s important to be able to listen to speech that offends you, these students and advisers had simply reached their tolerance level for what they were willing to hear.'

HBO's program "Angry Boys" just another in a long line of programs from the Sewer Stream Media Western audiences that disgusting, perverse and unatural behavior is perfectly normal.
I wonder who the producers and writers really made this show for.

Cult comedy Angry Boys aims to shock viewers with its mockumentary style humor, but one group thinks the HBO hit has gone too far and accuses a recent episode of being "akin to showing child pornography."
The most offensive scene depicts a young girl sucking on a bright pink penis-shaped cup during a sketch about a Japanese mother (played by Australian star and director Chris Lilley) who forces her skateboarding son to act gay as a marketing tactic.

Such a touching story. Former classmates reminded how they did nothing when they saw this girl being bullied, and now they want to make amends, including flying her to a class reunion. She grew up in a religious and sounds like abusive household and so the other kids all thought she was weird.
This is her poem:
that little girl who came to school with the clothes she wore the day before
instead of asking why.. you picked on her
the little girl who had to walk to school while others rode the bus
instead of asking why.. you picked on her
the little girl who had bruises and was dirty
instead of asking why.. you picked on her
the little girl who was always crying
instead of asking why.. you picked on her

We’ve all seen Romney turn around on a dime and renounce beliefs firmly held just hours ago. His lack of conscience, empathy and remorse makes it possible for him to flat out deny his former positions with the utmost sincerity. Video evidence to the contrary somehow doesn’t seem to bother the Romneys of this world who adhere to the Roger Ailes doctrine that truth is “whatever people will believe”.

All in all, five former Romney classmates have come forward to share their memories about the Lauber incident. Sadly, John Lauber can’t speak for himself since he passed away in 2004. But we have the words of David Seed, one of the boys who witnessed the incident all those years ago. He ran into Lauber in an airport bar several years ago and apologized for not doing more to stop the bullying. According to Seed, Lauber said, “It was horrible. It’s something I have thought about a lot since then.”
Mitt Romney claimed that he didn't recall the incident.

Bully paralyzes middle school student with a punch to the abdomen.
NJ bully's paralyzing punch nets $4.2M settlement
AP – Wed, Apr 18, 2012
RAMSEY, N.J. (AP) — A New Jersey school district has agreed to pay $4.2 million to settle a lawsuit by a middle school student who was paralyzed when a known bully punched him in the abdomen.

When I hear stories like this, I am saddened to the core of my being. A 12 year old boy goes off to school to learn and prepare for his life as an adult. Then some sick bully (who was most likely bullied himself) punches him in the stomach, paralyzing him. More and more I am realizing that when we send our children to school (especially middle school) in reality, we send them off, to spend hour upon long hour, each day, in a prison resembling the LORD OF THE FLIES, in which there is NO ESCAPE. What is wrong with our adult world? I ask this question, not expecting an answer because the answer is already WIDESPREAD. Too many adults watch FOX FAKE NEWS (where they get the WHOLE LIE AND NOTHING BUT THE LIE and where they learn who and what to hate!) and of course there’s Rush Limbaugh (Whose talk radio show should be called BULLYING 101). It seems so simple to me, turn the channel and turn that sick radio program off and maybe our children won’t find it necessary to punch someone in order to rationalize his inadequate feelings about himself. I guess I’m the simple one. thinkingblue

EXCERPT: In "Lord of the Flies", British schoolboys are stranded on a tropical island. In an attempt to recreate the culture they left behind, they elect Ralph to lead, with the intellectual Piggy as counselor. But Jack wants to lead, too, and one-by-one, he lures the boys from civility and reason (JAKE = FOX FAKE NEWS?) to the savage survivalism of primeval hunters. In Lord of the Flies, William Golding gives us a glimpse of the savagery that underlies even the most civilized human beings.
The three most important aspects of Lord of the Flies:
1.The major theme of Lord of the Flies is that humans are essentially barbaric if not downright evil. The stranded boys begin by establishing a society similar to the one they left behind in England, but soon their society has degenerated into rival clans ruled by fear and violence; (Limbaugh's BULLYING 101) before the book is over, three boys have been killed.
2.The novel is an allegory, which is a story in which characters, settings, and events stand for things larger than themselves. For example, the island represents the world; Ralph and Jack symbolize different approaches to leadership.
3.William Golding wrote Lord of the Flies following World War II, during which the Nazis exterminated six million Jews and the United States dropped two atomic bombs on Japan. In this context, the novel's profound pessimism is understandable. MORE HERE http://www.cliffsnotes.com/study_guide/literature/lord-of-the-flies/book-summary.html

The Motion Picture Association of America's recalcitrance on the rating of the documentary film Bully has garnered a great deal of attention, as the R rating given to the movie would effectively prevent its been seen by exactly the kids who need to see it.But a compromise has been reached, and starting next weekend a PG-13 version of the movie will be out
BE SURE YOUR CHILDS SCHOOL SHOWS THIS DOCUMENTARY.
With the change, unaccompanied kids of any age will be able to see Bully, and, perhaps most importantly, the door is open for schools to show the movie in the future. More than half a million people had signed a Change.org petition calling for the rating to be changed.

The framers of the documents that guide our nation – that would be the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the Declaration of Independence – were smart enough to know that freedom of religion and the separation of church and state go hand in hand. Keeping government out of the religion business ensures that we can all worship freely (or not worship at all, by the way). In addition, they understood that freedom of religion is not freedom of speech. Unfortunately, neither our present-day courts nor our elected officials are quite as astute on that topic.

I’m going to have to mic check you there, Mr. Jones. You’re not talking about so-called libertarians, but your former boss and current president. See, it’s Barack Obama who supports “traditional marriage”; Barack Obama who supports a drug war that sends an alarming number of black men to prison and destroys their employment prospects; Barack Obama who supports a foreign policy that kills children; Barack Obama who supports regulatory barriers that require the poorest of the poor to borrow their way into the workforce; Barack Obama who supports an immigration strategy that rips apart families and sees the children of undocumented workers put up for adoption.
Whether Obama’s support for those policies means he hates gays or brown folk is not for me to say
Libertarians, on the other hand, love brown folk, the gays, the lesbians, the people with piercings, and immigrants. Many of us, after all, fit rather neatly into those categories, and we show our affection for ourselves and our neighbors by supporting the right of all peoples to live free of state-sponsored violence, discrimination, undue imprisonment, and theft; as well as the entirely predictable consequences of both left-wing and right-wing social engineering. This guys is a clown.

Son's Suicide Attempt Has Mother Calling on School to Do More
By Lucas Grindley
.
A 15-year-old Ohio boy is in a coma today after attempting to kill himself because of bullying that began after he came out.
Austin Rodriguez's mother is calling on the Wellsville, Ohio, high school where he was a student to change its policies.
"If I would have known anything, then I would have done something," Bonnie Rodriguez told local TV station WKBN. Rodriguez said she only learned of the bullying when "friends came out of the woodwork" after the suicide attempt.
Bonnie Rodriguez told another station, WFMJ, that the bullying was both electronic and in person. "They were hiding his gym clothes because they didn't want him changing in the locker room with them," she said. "They didn't want him to eat by them, or in the school lunchroom."
WTRF reports that Wellsville High School held a student assembly in response to the news with four area pastors in attendance for counseling. The school does not have a gay-straight alliance, but principal Linda Rolley says adding one might be considered among changes she'll make in response to an administrative review of what contributed to the suicide attempt.
All the stations report that it's unclear whether Austin Rodriguez will recover, having taken more than 100 pills, after which he collapsed in the kitchen with his mother. The night before, he had told his parents that they "didn't know what was going on his personal life."
.
Anyone thinking about suicide or in need of support is asked to contact the Trevor Lifeline at (866) 488-7386 for help.

Did Tyler Clementi Receive Justice? -- The verdict has set off debate about the issue of hate crimes. Some argue that, even though Ravi was not responsible of Clementi’s death, he was being punished for it. In addition, the experts pulled out what I like to call the ‘boo hoo’ defense, arguing that the verdict would only serve to ruin another young life. Ravi’s attorneys said the verdict criminalized simple boorish behavior.
