US Patent 7291944 - Electromagnetic engine
US Patent Issued on November 6, 2007
The electromagnetic engine operates by having the solenoids receive input power from an external electrical power source and providing output power to the output shaft. The magnets include four outer magnets and four inner magnets. The inner magnets have magnetic forces that oppose the magnetic forces of the outer magnets. Electrical power provided to the solenoids causes the solenoids to oscillate the outer magnets. Springs provide stability and assist the solenoids.
Once the electromagnetic motor has reached operating speed, it generates sufficient electrical energy to continue driving the electromagnetic motor for a period of time. Input energy can be supplied to the solenoids by an auxiliary electrical generator. However, the efficiency of the electromagnetic motor enables the output shaft to perform useful work. Useful work may be in the form of a mechanical attachment to the output shaft for the purpose of driving an auxiliary mechanical device. Alternatively, an electrical generator may be attached directly to the output shaft to provide electrical output energy to other electrical devices.

Anyone else notice the power go out the other day?
It's because there was a power shortage in the National Grid, so they shut off our power to keep it going in "more important" places. The somewhat creepy details are provided here...Anyone else notice the power go out the other day?

I'm addicted to electricity. I know George Bush said America is addicted to Oil, but he is obviously someone who hasn't owned an electric car.
I drive to work nearly every day in a rechargeable battery electric car. I just turned it over 3000 miles and that equates to over $300 in gas savings.
I got it because I thought it would be a good second or third car, but it actually became my first car. I still have my gas car for long distance driving but now I'm saving hundreds of dollars a year.
I went to the gas station the other day to fill up the family SUV and I was shocked by the price it costs to fill that thing up. It was $80! I remember when I could fill up about once a week for less than $20. I cannot afford to be driving that vehicle except for family vacations.
Actually, going to the gas station made me feel nauseaus. With my electric car I come home, uncoil my charge cord, plug into the car and plug the other end into a normal household outlet. In the morning, it's fully charged and I'm on my way.
Also, I save in other areas as well. I don't have to worry about oil changes, tune-ups, broken belts, oil leaks, etc. So I'm saving on maintenance as well.
I love saving money, but I also like the fact that electric vehicle reduce automotive emissions and greenhouse gases. Even counting the emissions produced in the generation of electricity, electric cars reduce automotive emissions by 90 percent, according to the California Air Resources Board.
California says that if you drive an electric car 30 miles a day, you can save 700 gallons of gasoline in a year, which at today's prices comes out to about $2,600.I'm addicted to electricity. I know George Bush said America is addicted to Oil,... more

KFYR-TV's Amanda Tetlak reports:
Gas prices are reaching nearly four dollars a gallon in parts of the country. So for most of us filling up is just painful. One way around feeling the pain at the pump may not only save you some cash, but it can also be good for your health and the environment. So while we think high gas prices are simply no good for anyone, there are some that are reaping the benefits.

A short video by YouTube.com user GHoeberX covering America's unsustainable pattern of economic growth and the consequences of the path that we're on.
"We must borrow $3 billion from foreigners every business day to maintain our extravagent spending. Our national debt now is increasing $600 billion per year, and guess what, we print over $600 billion per year to keep the charade going. But there is a limit and I fear we are fast approaching it." ~ Congressman Ron Paul, M.D.
"Foreign interests have more control over the US economy than Americans, leaving the country in a state that is financially imprudent. More and more of our debt is held by foreign countries – some of which are our allies and some are not. The huge holdings of American government debt by countries such as China and Saudi Arabia could leave a powerful financial weapon in the hands of countries that may be hostile to US corporate and diplomatic interests.” ~ David Walker, US Comptroller General
"There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit (debt) expansion. The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as the result of a voluntary abandonment of further credit (debt) expansion, or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency system involved." ~Ludwig von Mises

Apparently this sheltered representative hasn't traveled to a mystical land known as "Europe", where as many as 45% of people in certain countries travel by bike. His attempt at humor on the issue, as well as his visual aid, all help to drive home the point that he is, among other things, a gigantic ass. Crude oil may rise to $120 a barrel within six months due to the dollar weakness and global political tensions, the chief executive officer of Abu Dhabi National Energy Co. said.
``I think a trading range between $80 and $120 a barrel this year is about right,'' Peter Barker-Homek, the head of the United Arab Emirates state-controlled company, which is also known as Taqa, said in an interview in Dubai today. ``But with the softness of the dollar, and the occasional interruptions that you have because of politics, I think we could see $120 oil.''
In October, Barker-Homek said that crude would rise to $100 from $80 before the end of the first quarter because of unfettered Asian demand growth and possible supply shocks. Oil prices continued to rise today after the Taqa CEO made his latest forecast.

There is always a silver lining to every cloud. Wal-Mart, not so great with the employment practices, is helping us save the environment.

So there is a bill being discussed that could allow the government to regulate your the temperature controls in your own home "when energy costs are high."
I think the idea suffers from the delusion that the government is better at regulating my own life than I am. A representative government is a good idea for cutting down on the number of things I have to consider outside of my daily concerns, not for regulating my daily concerns.
What a dumb idea.
On the other side though we do put governors in engines to limit top speed but there ARE speed limits. There is not temperature limit in my own home. If I want to turn the temp up to a hundred and walk around in my underwear, thats my right as long as I'm willing to pay my energy bill.So there is a bill being discussed that could allow the government to regulate your... more

Here is an amazing amount of information on hydrogen-power. I will be uploading a number of videos as well as a large pdf with all the information I could find on the topic.
We NEED to get this word out to EVERYONE and put the power back in the hands of the people and stop letting the rich decide our fate (or our doom) for us.
They can target one or two people here or there and make it look like an accident, but if we can group together and get large numbers to make these things happen, then we cannot be stopped.

A beautiful and magical place that has changed my view on what is possible in the world. A fascinating place to visit. Billy Idol wrote his song "Sweet 16" about the girl who left Ed and shot a music video there. Ray Ramirez, a very knowledgeable tour guide has been studying the place for years and was kind enough to show us around the castle.
The entire place was built by Ed alone with no machines that we would currently use to lift such large blocks. This was a labor of love and the woman he built it for never even came to see it.

This is amazing because it has already been done in the last 100 years and could be a way to eventually free us from our dependence on costly forms of unstable energy resources. Even if you don't believe it, this is still an amazing place to visit. The Coral Castle, in Florida, can easily be compared to Stonehenge and the Great Pyramids. Why hasn't anyone figured this out when we spend so much time and money on researching similar theories?
It was just back in 1999 that they (the US Government) finally changed the law stating that we (independently) could even have our own energy source legally. I did a ton of research about the subject and had to slap this short together for a Kevin Smith film festival while I was attending film school. I hope to have some more time and funds to pursue a more lengthy production in the future now that I have a bit more experience in film making. This is amazing because it has already been done in the last 100 years and could be a... more

Britain faces the prospect of power shortages and soaring prices this winter after the National Grid warned of a shortfall in electricity-generating capacity yesterday. The alert coincides with a surge in gas prices, which are now 40% higher than in continental Europe, and the confirmation that a vital import plant in South Wales will not be operational this winter.

Cuba, an isolated island nation, rebuilt its quality of life following the collapse of cheap oil, supplied by the former Soviet Union. This fascinating and empowering film shows how communities pulled together, created solutions, and ultimately thrived in spite of their decreased dependence on imported energy.
This also gives us an excellent example of how to deal with the crisis that is facing us, how to survive after oil becomes unavailable, how to feed ourselves and empower farmers.
