Did you know...
Walgreen's has teamed up with Donald Trump and The Celebrity Apprentice to promote more healthy steps in 2012.
Yes, the same Donald Trump who falsely accused the President on numerous occassions of made up issues such as Obama is not a citizen of the United States (birther issue), Obama was not qualified to get into an Ivy League school, and that Obama will start a war with Iran to win re-election.
Is this imagine Walgreen's wants to promote? Is this a company you want to do business with?
That's why I created a petition to Gregory D. Wasson, Chairman and CEO - Walgreen's, which says:
"I'm calling on consumers to tell Walgreen's to "Dump the Trump"."
Will you sign this petition? Click here:

“A Saginaw, Michigan man claims he was horrified when he found a dead, disemboweled mouse in his bag of Dole salad. John K. Jones says he sat down with his girlfriend, Ebony Wright, and her 7-year-old son for dinner Sunday afternoon. He was shocked to find the gruesome rodent buried in the Italian dressing covered salad. “I moved a couple of leaves and there was a mouse, a dead mouse laying on its back, and you could see the guts hanging out. I immediately got up and ran to the bathroom,” Jones said.”

If its decision to start selling groceries wasn't enough of a sign that Walgreens is trying to shake up its image and reach a new audience, now comes news that the drugstore chain has begun selling its own private-label beer.
According to the Chicago Tribune, Walgreens has been rolling out the beer, called Big Flats 1901, in more than 4,600 of its 7,655 U.S. locations.
Since private-label booze is rarely purchased because of superior taste, Walgreens is selling the suds cheap, around $3 for a six-pack and around $11.50 for a case of 24 cans.
"In this tough economy, consumers are looking for value and ways to make their money go (further)," a Walgreens rep told the Tribune. "Big Flats 1901 offers our customers a premium lager at a great price."
In case you're curious, Big Flats 1901 (which won't win any awards for its name) is made by Winery Exchange, which also provides private-label adult beverages for Costco Wholesale and Trader Joe's.

Gift cards are a popular item for any occasion, but no occasion is needed for the newest, one-of-a-kind gift card now available at Walgreens – the flu shot gift card. Walgreens, the largest retail provider of flu prevention services with more than 24,000 certified immunizers, has introduced the card as a way to help more Americans stay well throughout the upcoming flu season by giving the gift of a flu shot.
Drugstores, still struggling with a weak economy, are pushing flu vaccinations earlier and harder than ever. They’ve bolstered the ranks of pharmacists certified to give shots and are promoting the service through TV commercials, in-store displays, Facebook and Twitter.
“Whether you have college kids going back to school or have friends, co-workers or family members you want to protect this flu season, the flu shot gift card is a thoughtful way to make it even easier for them to get a flu shot at Walgreens,” said Kermit R. Crawford, Walgreens executive vice president of pharmacy. “While millions of Americans are diligent about getting a flu shot every year, gift cards may also help those who might not otherwise take the initiative to get a flu shot. With these gift cards, you can help protect those closest to you.”
Summer isn’t even over yet and the big push for the mass vaccination of the entire population is already under way. The CDC started the push by recently urging vaccine shots for everyone — including infants, pregnant women and immune-compromised people. Adding to the vaccination hoopla, Walgreens has announced something quite bizarre: A flu shot gift card.

Immigration activists are calling on retailers to stop selling a controversial “Illegal Alien” Halloween costume featured on the websites of Walgreens, Toys R Us, Target, Meijer, Amazon, and other retailers. It includes an orange prison jumpsuit with the words “Illegal Alien,” a fake “Green Card,” and an alien mask.
After receiving complaints about the costume, the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles wrote a letter to retailers asking them to stop selling the item. Executive director Angelica Salas called it “distasteful, mean-spirited, and ignorant of social stigmas and current debate on immigration reform.” Target has complied and apologized, saying, “This was never intended to be part of our assortment. We are moving as quickly as possible to remove it from our Web site.” The costume is also no longer on the Toys R Us website.
This morning, however, the hosts of Fox and Friends couldn’t get enough of the costume. Steve Doocy exclaimed, “It’s a joke! Where’s your sense of humor America?” Brian Kilmeade called it “fantastic,” adding, “If you’re here illegally, go to your local police station and tell them how outraged you arebecause you’re an illegal alien and this costume offends you!”Immigration activists are calling on retailers to stop selling a controversial... more
