After a five year hiatus, Junip is back in action and hitting the road to remind us all just how wonderful indie-folk music can be. Folk music is something that I’ve become rather partial too. Don’t get me wrong, I love indie pop, dance and etc. because it makes every muscle in my body shake, but every once in a while we need a little down time, and that’s exactly what Junip does for me – reminds me to come down (not to mention Halifax is swarmed with indie-folk music, so it’s a part of my blood).
So, for those of you who are scratching your head right now and wondering, “Who is Junip?” here’s the goods…

This medley of television theme songs is incredible. The arrangements are solid and he hit so many of my favorites. I especially liked "True Blood" and "Firefly," but really they're all great. While the name of corresponding show flashes with each song, it's fun to listen to it without looking and see if you can guess some of the less well-known ones.

The coming season finales of the ABC comedies “Scrubs” and “According to Jim” are expected to be the last episodes of both shows, Variety reported. “Scrubs,” the hospital comedy starring Zach Braff and Sarah Chalke, will conclude its eighth season on May 6; that show moved to ABC earlier this year after a seven-year run on NBC. “According to Jim,” which stars Jim Belushi, will end its eighth season on May 5. It’s one of a dwindling number of traditional, multicamera situation comedies still airing on network television. ABC also announced that “Lost” would conclude its fifth season with a two-hour finale on May 13, as would “Desperate Housewives” on May 17, and that “Ugly Betty” would return to its schedule on May 7. "Scrubs" co-star Sarah Chalke has signed to star in Lifetime's four-hour miniseries "Maneater," based on Gigi Levangie Grazer's book.
Chalke will play a shallow thirtysomething socialite in a panic because she's still single. She sets her sights on a Hollywood producer. In real life, Grazer was married to Brian Grazer, the Oscar-winning producer of "A Beautiful Mind."
Chalke previously starred in the Lifetime movie "Why I Wore Lipstick to My Mastectomy.""Scrubs" co-star Sarah Chalke has signed to star in Lifetime's... more

It looks like "Scrubs" might be back for more than we all thought! Apparently ABC has been working to pick up 18 episodes of the NBC comedy. The show, produced by ABC Studios for NBC [it's funny how that works in Hollywoodland] has at least a handful of episodes left to air on NBC, but NBC decided it would not pay for the episodes beyond the 5 it will air this Spring.
NBC has long shafted "Scrubs," constantly moving it around and changing the day and time the show aired and always making a question out of whether or not to renew the show. So I'm all for the show moving to a network that actually wants the show and appreciates it. Hopefully an 8th season on ABC will work out!It looks like "Scrubs" might be back for more than we all thought!... more
