This is Magdalena Soul. I am a freestyle dance performing artist. For a dancer my biggest challenge was try to figure out how to download and upload videos on the computer. This company, your truman show, helped me so much with the process of understanding about the videotaping, editing and websites. I really enjoyed working with Cara Saunders, who believed in me so much in my work as a dance artist. In the San Francisco Bay Area, I have been truly blessed with this venue to display my work. I hope my story will encourage others in thhe dance arena to keep pursuing your artistic dreams and great things will happen to you. Please
clink onto Your Truman Show and see me dance!

I am so hyped about this documentary. This shows truly how hip-hop and breakdancing has the world connected more than some people will ever know.
"Think breakdancing died in the eighties? Think again. PLANET B-BOY is a feature-length, theatrical documentary that re-discovers one of the most incredible dance phenomena the world has ever seen. Originally known as "B-boying", breakdancing was an urban dance form that originated from the streets of New York City during the seventies. Along with Emceeing, Graffiti and DJing, B-boying served as one of the crucial elements in the birth of hip-hop culture in America. Through the help of movies like Flashdance, Breakin', and Beatstreet, breakdancing took the country by storm, and teenagers across America were spinning on their backs doing "windmills" and training their bodies to "pop and lock." Like most dance fads, however, breakdancing eventually faded into the annals of pop culture history. Three decades later, B-boying is back in full force and has evolved into an art form, reaching a level never seen before. The basic moves from the early eighties have developed into a highly sophisticated and unimaginably acrobatic dance form. PLANET B-BOY will take you inside the international, underground b-boy scene happening today in Japan, France, Germany, South Korea, and the United States. We will explore the most compelling stories and characters of five of the best b-boy crews from around the globe as they prepare to face off at the BATTLE OF THE YEAR - one of the most prestigious b-boy events in the world, held annually in Germany that serves as the World Cup of b-boying. Along the way, we will gain a poignant insight into their lives, their friends and families, and their unique cultural and social situations that drive them to devote their entire lives to the dance. At the BATTLE OF THE YEAR - our subjects will go head to head with crews from nineteen different countries in one of the fiercest dance competitions ever seen. Ten thousand screaming fans will witness their one shot at glory and see who will be crowned the best on PLANET B-BOY." I am so hyped about this documentary. This shows truly how hip-hop and breakdancing... more

Sisterz of the Underground is a hip-hop collective in San Francisco that is dedicated to women who actively participate in the scene. These girls get down on the mic and dance floor but it isn't all fun and games. Operating this group takes time and energy but it's definitely worth it as you'll see in this Scene pod.Sisterz of the Underground is a hip-hop collective in San Francisco that is dedicated... more

Yeah i know I am on a K-os streak, but this is more so a question to anyone out there. Where is the good music I know what i think but I wanna know what you think. Tell Me where the true hip-hop is and not just that over commercial "sell your soul for a chain and a one hit wonder" music maker (it must be art for you to be an artist). I think K-Os has done an excellent job in making good music on an international scale along with a variety of other artists ranging from Little Brother, The Roots, Talib Kweli, Common, and so on. Yet, I maintain more real music needs to be recognized so inform the world.Yeah i know I am on a K-os streak, but this is more so a question to anyone out there.... more

I think this is what rap is missing, it seems like american hip-hop has feel off the path of its true purpose..to unite people through festive dance and good beats. Its like the world outside america has realized the power of unity through hip-hop but America has lost all its values when it comes to this, at least majority america-wise. I think this is what rap is missing, it seems like american hip-hop has feel off the... more

This is a music video from an ontario rapper named K-os that has been flaring through the hip-hop circuit worldwide for a few years. He combines real hip-hop with old school fundamentals and turns it into a new, but classic feel. He has just recently came out with a cd named "Atlantis Hyms for Disco", this song b-boy stance is from his "joyful rebellion" cd. The real amazing thing is K-os combines the main elements of hip-hop in just one music video without being commercial whatsoever. Good music at its best.
