I have mixed feelings about this new fad. Part of me wants to try it out because it sounds like fun and a great way to get all that teenage angst out. But mostly a one time deal thing that you try out and it's petty awesome at the time but the interest and excitement quickly dies out. The other part of me things these kids need to get into some extreme sports and create something with all that energy rather that waisting a bunch of gas and loosing their voices. Who knows how this got to be so big but clearly when you have a bunch of kids with a whole love of energy and not a lot of focus............they just get "stupid"? comments please!I have mixed feelings about this new fad. With Earth Day coming up next week, it is time for us to bring a new optimism into what we do, how we think, and how we inspire others regarding our planet and in solving the climate crisis. Al Gore brings a refreshing new look to this crisis and the opportunity we have as the generation with the challenge of solving it with his TED talk. I want my child to ask the question in years to come: how did you find the moral fortitude to solve this crisis and leave future generations with a sustainable planet. The other question is simply not an option.

On April 8, 2008 presidential contender Hillary Rodham Clinton's statement regarding the appointment of Director Kennington-Gardinera included directing the new NY airspace czar to include the environmental impacts on residential communities in any criteria to address the metro area's congestion and delays (see below).
The New Jersey Coalition Against Aircraft Noise (NJCAAN) appreciates Clinton's statement that includes consideration regarding the health impacts generated by the aviation industry in the metro area. One clear way to address delays would be to utilize the restricted offshore military airspace for commercial aircraft. The military utilizes this airspace for training purposes. The unintended consequence is to force more commercial aircraft over residential communities.

Statement of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton Regarding the Appointment of
the Director for the Federal Aviation Administration's New York Integration Office
"I am pleased that the FAA has finally taken action to appoint someone who can take a comprehensive look at the problems with our airspace. I certainly hope that Director Kennington-Gardinera will immediately begin the critical task of evaluating congestion at every step of the flight process, including the impact of flights over residential areas. While we must take action immediately to end the problems that plague our airports and airspace, any plans moving forward must also consider the quality of life for those people living in current and proposed flight paths. This is a quality of life issue for travelers as well as residents and this is our best chance to make sure everyone's concerns are heard."
Late last year, Senator Clinton joined her colleagues in the New York and New Jersey congressional delegation in calling for the appointment of an "airspace czar" to evaluate congestion at every step of the flight process - from tower control, to the TRACON, to the routing center.

In a world full of hi-res images and mammouth sized screens, have you ever taken a minute to think about the visually impaired?
Well, Porn for the Blind, a nonprofit organisation based in Cambridge, Mass. has done just that. Establishing itself for the sole purpose of making the millions of free porn clips available online accessible to people with visual impairments, volunteer 'audiodescribers' watch porn preview videos and describe the action.
The site was initially slow to take off with only 14 audio descriptions uploaded, but after a little press attention the site streamed more than 40GB to more than 50,000 visitors.
According to Regina Lynn, "there's something hot about the absolute amateur quality of the submissions, just like a homemade snapshot capturing real sexual energy can have more impact than a studio photograph of a professional model."
I'll take her word for it.In a world full of hi-res images and mammouth sized screens, have you ever taken a... more

"After several years of taking Fosomax, my aunt (who was otherwise quite healthy, comes from great genetic stock) is dying from myelodysplastic syndrome - when your bone marrow stops doing its job... I know in my heart it was caused by Fosomax. Fosomax targets the bones and there are no long term studies regarding prolonged use of Fosomax and its impact on blood marrow. She's been on it for many years but otherwise healthy. Merck, if you are reading this....you're going down."

Judging anyone's sexuality against their capacity to do their job it is a ridicule mistake performed by the Media and some confused individuals in this Country thus creating an erroneous overtime media sensationalism. First was Mr. Bill Clinton, then Mr. Spitzer's. Who's next? It will the Media continue to do this type of trick? Yes! But you should know better and make a better judgement from it. This type of posts only creates erroneous chaos and just prove this Country inability to resolve what is important to make it better. Impounding cars for loud stereos is a proven method for addressing the
problem. Peoria IL has demonstrated this repeatedly.

As a Canadian living in the U.S., I've always been shocked at the health care system - or lack thereof - in this country. Services for the poor are practically non-existent, and even those with full-time jobs often find their monthly premiums too expensive to carry. Those who are "fully covered" (is there even such a thing?) often find themselves mired in medical bills and "deductibles" in the thousands of dollars, for simple check-ups or lab tests.
Something has to change! Social services are a right, not a privilege.

Look at the bird, the girls, the guys, the politicians, the something else going on overseas, look, look and forget about your daily life, economy, education, health care, inflation, food manipulation, the polluters, the bandits robbing your precious time and income, the lack of jobs, forget what this part of the public and government are doing to screw you up every single day and slave you. look at the bird baby!!!
Have you ever wonder why this Country, Locally and Nationally gets away with murder daily after day, monthly after month, yearly after year and by the time you wake up, it is too late?
Well wonder no more! This posting section is part of a Project I developed called simultaneously "Pick and Choose," or "Pick, Choose and Lose."
I do not know about you but I am sick and tired to turn on the TV and after haven watched the News, seen the same brain dead format, very little attention for Local and important issues to the point of acting on a dangerous deadly denial mode. That is our Corporate and Secular Network Media. Being a media broadcaster, I pray everyday so the Spirit of GOD will give me guidance to spot the most social and humane issues and air it before the spoofery, bullies and brain dead entertainment comes along to fool you.
What about you?
Still looking and giving more importance to what is killing you?

One of the great things about the internet is to be able to post on forums or leave comments somewhere yet remain completely anonymous. Well if one Kentucky lawmaker has his way, anonymous internet postings may be going the way of the buffalo.
Representative Tim Couch filed a bill this week to make anonymous posting online illegal. The bill would require anyone who contributes to a website to register their real name, address and e-mail address with that site. Their full name would be used anytime a comment is posted.
If the bill becomes law, the website operator would have to pay if someone was allowed to post anonymously on their site. The fine would be five-hundred dollars for a first offense and one-thousand dollars for each offense after that.
He says it will cut down on online bullying...but c'mon, isn't that half the fun of posting online? One of the great things about the internet is to be able to post on forums or leave... more

Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I, The Dali Lama, Rev Sally Bingham, Pope Benedict XV1, and 11 more preach the gospel of green.
"Crime against the natural world is a sin," says Bartholomew I, leader of more than 300 million Orthodox Christians worldwide. "The Green Patriarch" has thrown his weight behind various international environmental causes, and urges leaders of other faiths to raise environmental awareness among their believers. The winner of both the U.S. Congressional Gold Medal and the Sophie Prize for leadership in environmental protection and sustainable development, Bartholomew I takes his "fisher of men" duty seriously: In 2003, he brought together 200 scientists, political leaders, and journalists on a cruise ship in the Baltic Sea to discuss marine preservation and the hazards of overfishing. "To protect the oceans is to do God's work," he says. "To harm them, even if we are ignorant of the harm we cause, is to diminish His divine creation."

1. Local News:
2. National News:
3. International News:
I personally feel that there are dangerous broadcast ideologies happening today that diverts our attention to external news thus giving us the impression that our local news are less important. It looks that the problem is always elsewhere but where you live, your neighborhood, your community. I am not saying that National and International news are not important, what I am saying is that we do not have a choice from the networks and National and International news is only what we get. Now this is also a tactic practiced by many news networks to focus your head elsewhere so you will be alienated from your own neighborhood and community issues.
My goal is to practice a loop of journalism that takes care of local issues first as the spirit of GOD tells me to start an issue at home first. Local issues these days have to do with citizens living and personal security. To this point I am concerned to every aspect of local Safety & Traffic issues that favors citizens safety. For that matter is where I started to have interest for the urban acoustics issues of pollution. First there it is a challenge issue in so many ways because there are a great lack of personal public education on the issue. Government bodies, Public Transportation, Manufactories of Market and the Wrong After Market Vehicles Manufactories has been for years taking advantage of our lack of education contributing to the general pollution chaos in the City.

There's loud music and then there's this!
Boom!
Boom!
Boom!
It's 12:30 a.m., and the pounding has begun.
Is it a Los Angeles earthquake? A wild pack of overeager city construction
workers? No, although some days I can only wish.
Acutally, it's just a neighbour or rather, his car stereo gracing the night
with its presence as he arrives home.
I sigh and mutter a few choice phrases as I feel myself being shaken rather
abruptly out of bed. My home is my oasis, my hideaway when I'm off the road. I'll bet that you feel the same way.
I'm not sure why this boy thinks that pounding out the tunes while everyone
else is asleep is an OK thing to do. The pounding rolls through the house,
the air, my bones. It's like being under assault. What I really don't
understand is how I can hear his bass at all, since I'm in my own house,
across the street. Did I mention all my windows and doors are shut tight, or that my TV is still on?
It's so loud and pervasive that turning up the TV doesn't drown it out. I
can still hear it. Boom! -Boom! -Boom! -Boom!. The sound of a complete neighborhood nuisance.
Just follow the link to read the whole article.

i was listening to npr and they had this story on a frightening incident that happened in dallas. a group of pple working for shell died while the rest suffered from horrible burns because of the incessant disregard by the shell management to the satety of their work places. this workplace had failed to pass the safety laws. the shell co. argued to have it grandfathered in because these laws were created yrs after this workplace had been built. i mean who cares if it is unsafe for the pple who work there. this, a desicion from one of the wealthiest co. in the world. i mean, making this workplace safe would probably cost them what they make in 5 mins. wait, wait, there is more. after that devastating incident, they did nothing and there was another incident at the same place. i mean if you listened to the story of how this guy lost his wife and father in law, u'd weep. to make things worse, they got away with a slap on the wrist. they are supposed to pay just a small % of what is required by law, a desicion the victims are fighting in the courts. good for them. please cover this topic. corporate america needs to understand that the lives of pple need to come 1st whether it agrees with their greedy end result or not. corporate america continues to be the king and benefactor of the hard work and risk the average person goes thru' from day bo day. they rule. the average pple should have the political advantage esp. in a country as great as this.i was listening to npr and they had this story on a frightening incident that happened... more

If you were a college student at a university in Baghdad when the US-led invasion began, the job prospects upon graduating were not too hot. Many Iraqis took jobs as interpreters with the US forces; putting their lives, and those of their families at risk.
A departure from the typical media coverage of "Operation Iraqi Freedom," this pod tells the gut-wrenching story of a young Iraqi's struggle to make ends meet and stay alive. Eventually forced to flee the only home she had ever known, she set sights on a life in the US. But, what she didn't realize was once she left Iraq, the struggle would not soon be over.
She is one, but her story represents many.If you were a college student at a university in Baghdad when the US-led invasion... more

The Earth is hurtling toward a warmer climate at a quickening pace, a Nobel-winning U.N. scientific panel said in a landmark report released Saturday, warning of inevitable human suffering and the threat of extinction for some species.
U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon said climate change imperils "the most precious treasures of our planet" and called on the United States and China the world's two biggest polluters to do more to fight it.
As early as 2020, 75 million to 250 million people in Africa will suffer water shortages, residents of Asia's megacities will be at great risk of river and coastal flooding, Europeans can expect extensive species loss, and North Americans will experience longer and hotter heat waves and greater competition for water, the report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change says.
The potential impact of global warming is "so severe and so sweeping that only urgent, global action will do," Ban told the IPCC after it issued its fourth and final report this year. The Earth is hurtling toward a warmer climate at a quickening pace, a Nobel-winning... more
