Rep. Ron Paul's presidential campaign, a pugnacious, ideological crusade against big government and interventionist leanings in the Republican party, will officially end Thursday at a rally outside the Texas GOP's convention, ABC News has learned.
Paul told supporters back in March, in a video posted on his Web site, that he was "winding down" his campaign and planning a new phase to what he and fans call their "revolution."
The new phase of the revolution officially begins with a speech tonight in Houston and a Web video to be posted on his site, officially ending Paul's presidential campaign and freeing up the more than $4.7 million in campaign cash for investment in a new advocacy group, The Campaign for Liberty. Sen. Clinton has just come off two of the biggest wins in modern political history with wins in West Virginia and Kentucky and barely has a headline to show for it. She may have picked up a little steam in the end but she has certainly run out of track. In every metric measurable her campaigned is finished. Even most of the contrived far fetched scenarios are no longer possible. She's been shown compassion, respect and courtesy. Now she needs to be shown the door. What's it going to take for here to get a clue and get out of the race. You don't have to go away mad, just go away.Sen. In his New Hampshire concession speech, Senator Obama gave yet another stirring speech, his ability for which is far superior to the rest of the presidential candidates on either side.
Obama's inspiring finesse and commanding cadence recalls Dr. Martin Luther King's gifted oratory.

And basically there are two main reasons currently why:// I like his stance regarding the climate crisis, and I like that he seems genuine regarding his concern for working Americans and lifting up the lower and middle classes. However, I would like to hear him state (unless he did and I missed it) that he would do more to rescind the Patriot Act and do away with unitary executive power. I also have to read up more on his healthcare plan as I am for single payer, but am willing to look at other plans that hopefully bring competition to lower costs without compromising quality. And I state this as someone who is down on the political system as a whole but realizes that I must still do my duty and vote and also hope. Therefore, at this point I am leaning towards John Edwards, though I am also very impressed with Dennis Kucinich and his courage in standing up for impeachment and his views on trade. The next couple of months leading into the spring will be the deciding factor for me, and also the climate change presidential forum Mr. Gore is putting together in NH next month that I am really looking forward to. And just to explain, even though I am leaning towards John Edwards in this election cycle, Al Gore will always be in my heart and have my full support in whatever he does. So if you are leaning now towards one particular candidate, let's discuss why here and what you want from them. I think it's time they heard us.And basically there are two main reasons currently why:// I like his stance regarding... more
