So, umm....
Here's some interesting info to add to the rapidly lengthening list of things I learnt on the internets.
(According to the super-fascist-pinkos over @ the Pennsylvania Progressive /sarcasm_off) It turns out that Ron Paul has some interesting historical connections with the white nationalist movement (beyond having a lot of their campaign funding), and quite a bit of writing in his name that seems to articulate the "White Nationalist Agenda"
I've copied the text from the link b/c a friend was having trouble accessing the site:

Ron Paul: White Supremacist
Ron Paul has become something of a phenomenon on the campaign trail as a GOP candidate for president. What everyone needs to realize however, is his deep involvement in the patriot/militia movement and his publication of radical racial epithets over the years. Congressman Paul is a white supremacist. Orcinus has the goods on this guy collected from a newsletter he used to distribute and pictures of him in the recent company of extremists.
Some liberals have taken to Paul's opposition of the war while not realizing his true agenda. There's far more to this man than the issue of Iraq and it's quite ugly. The patriot movement of the 1980's-90's saw a surge in survivalist, white supremacist militia groups threatening the stability of the nation in order to impose their white male leadership on the entire society. The current Minuteman organization is a successor to this mentality.
Ron Paul has been part and parcel of this and he is "one of theirs." Past issues of "The Ron Paul Survivor Report" survive in archives at the University of Wisconsin and elsewhere and bloggers are digging them out and re-publishing them so voters understand the true nature and political philosophy of this candidate.
A few excerpts:
"...our country is being destroyed by a group of actual and potential terrorists -- and they can be identified by the color of their skin."
"Opinion polls consistently show that only about 5% of blacks have sensible political opinions, i.e. support the free market, individual liberty, and the end of welfare and affirmative action.... Given the inefficiencies of what D.C. laughingly calls the "criminal justice system," I think we can safely assume that 95% of the black males in that city are semi-criminal or entirely criminal."
"We are constantly told that it is evil to be afraid of black men, but it is hardly irrational. Black men commit murders, rapes, robberies, muggings, and burglaries all out of proportion to their numbers."
I think you begin to get the idea of who this man is and what he REALLY believes. Such toxic, racist diatribes have no place in civilized men and civilized culture. Please don't support Ron Paul.
Update: This article has received many links and much traffic. I have a question for all the Paul apologists and deniers leaving comments: if he isn't a white supremacist why are all the white supremacists endorsing him? I have to credit Orcinus for digging out the facts and the truth about Ron Paul. It was their coverage which was the basis for this article. They found this picture of Paul with white supremacist Dr. Robert Clarkson at this website:

I went thru a lot of commentary @ the embedded links (not available in cut & paste sorry, you'll have to get them @ the link), and didn't find any links disputing the claims... so:
IF YOU'RE GOING TO DISPUTE THIS ARTICLE, PLEASE INCLUDE RELEVANT LINKS.

JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell, Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell and Adolf Hitler Campbell.
Good names for a trio of toddlers? Heath and Deborah Campbell think so. The Holland Township couple has picked those names and the oldest child, Adolf Hitler Campbell, turns 3 today.
This has given rise to a problem, because the ShopRite supermarket in Greenwich Township has refused to make a cake for young Adolf's birthday.
"We believe the request ... to inscribe a birthday wish to Adolf Hitler is inappropriate," said Karen Meleta, a ShopRite spokeswoman.
The Campbells turned down the market's offer to make a cake with enough room for them to write their own inscription and can't understand what all of the fuss is about.
Express-Times Photo | BRUCE WINTERYoung Adolf Hitler Campbell will be getting a cake from Wal-Mart this year.
"ShopRite can't even make a cake for a 3-year-old," said Deborah Campbell, 25, who is Heath's wife of three years and the mother of the children. "That's sad."
Others, such as Anti-Defamation League director Barry Morrison, applauded Shop Rite's decision.
"Might as well put a sign around their (the children's) neck that says bigot, racist, hatemonger," said Morrison. "What's the difference?"
What do you think?
Personally it seems to me like the family is purposely trying to stir up trouble. Who puts the full name including middle on a birthday cake??? Ive never seen that happen! Just ask them to put "Happy Birthday Adolf" and Im sure the store would do it....but asking for the whole name of a 3 year old is just silly and obviously an attempt to cause anger and controversy.
If the family REALLY thinks that this is just about the harmless name of a 3 year old boy, Id love to see the store put the full name on the cake....and instead of a picture of a little blue eyes Caucasian boy, a nice brown eyed African or Hispanic or Indian boy instead. I wonder what the family would think then...JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell, Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell and Adolf Hitler... more

A Moscow city court has pronounced seven members of a skinhead gang guilty of 20 racially motivated murders and 12 counts of attempted murder.
The jury had to answer 280 questions in their deliberations on coming to a verdict.
Five of those on trial admitted their guilt, while Ryno himself admitted to participating in 37 murders.
The jurors found Ryno and Skachevsky undeserving of lenience. The jury recommended the remaining five be given the minimum punishement in accordance with the crime.
Most of them were underage, with most members ranging in age from 15 and 22 at the time of the crime.
Investigators say they targeted people of non-Slavic appearance, mostly from Central Asia and the Caucasus.
The gang beat and often killed their victims, filming the attacks on mobile phones and posting the video on the internet.
The two leaders of the group Artur Ryno and Pavel Skachevsky were arrested last year in connection with the murder of an Armenian businessman Karen Abramyan. Abramyan, 46, was stabbed 20 times in Moscow and later died in the hospital.
Ryno was reported to be a student at an icon painting school and told investigators that he began his murder spree on 21 August, 2006.
Although the proceedings were closed to the public, Interfax reported that both fully admitted carrying out the murders.A Moscow city court has pronounced seven members of a skinhead gang guilty of 20... more

According to the testimony, three members of the KKK approached Gruver in 2006. They taunted him with ethnic slurs, spat on him, doused him with alcohol, and then two of the men proceeded to knock him to the ground and beat him. 8 arrested in connection with shooting at remote Louisiana campsite
An Oklahoma woman recruited to come to a rural Louisiana Ku Klux Klan initiation ritual was shot to death after she asked to leave, authorities said. Eight people were arrested.
The woman, whose identity has not been released, lived near Tulsa, Okla., and was recruited via the Internet to come to Louisiana for a KKK initiation, according to a news release Tuesday from St. Tammany Parish Sheriff Jack Strain.
Strain said the woman arrived in Slidell, La., last week, and was met by two people connected with the white-supremacist group. She was taken to a remote campsite near Pearl River in southeast Louisiana.
On Sunday, the woman asked to be brought back to town. A fight broke out and she was fatally shot by the group's leader, the sheriff said.
Several people in the group tried to cover up the crime by burning items at the campsite, including all of the woman's belongings, Strain said.
The woman's body was found Monday along the side of a road in the small St. Tammany community of Sun, about 60 miles north of New Orleans, the sheriff said. The campsite was later discovered several miles north on the bank of the Pearl River. Deputies retrieved several items, including weapons, several flags, and six Klan uniforms.8 arrested in connection with shooting at remote Louisiana campsite

Two white men have been charged with murder in the death of a black man dragged under a pickup truck in East Texas last month.
Brandon McClelland's death has powerful echoes of the dragging death of another black man, James Byrd, in the same area a decade ago.
Black activists and the victim's mother are calling it a racist attack. But prosecutors cast doubt on that, noting the three were friends.
But they are investigating reports one of the defendants had been in a white supremacist gang in prison. Two white men have been charged with murder in the death of a black man dragged under... more

Fresh from the shocking recent revelation that the brother of former England footballer Stuart Pearce is an active member of the British National Party, there is worrying news that the party can now boast another relative of a national treasure within its unseemly ranks.
To the noise of collective jaw-dropping among EastEnders fans everywhere, it transpires Angela Reid, the youngest daughter of the late but much-loved stand-up Mike Reid, was due to stand on behalf of the BNP as a candidate at next month's council by-election in Braintree, Essex. The election has come up after the Conservative councillor Bill Rose recently decided to stand down.
Reid was apparently all set to contest the seat until the weekend, when I'm told she decided to withdraw from the race for "personal reasons".
"She would have been an excellent candidate for us and it's a terrible shame that she won't be running this time but we've got plenty of candidates for the future elsewhere," says a BNP spokesman, hastily adding that her U-turn had nothing to do with any political misgivings she may be feeling.
"Not at all, she is 100 per cent behind the party," he insisted. "Her withdrawal is purely personal.
"In fact, she is one of our loyalist members and strongest supporters."
For all their words of support, party activists must secretly be seething.
Since Reid's withdrawal has occurred after the deadline for candidate applications, the party will now not be able to run a replacement.

White supremacists hope Obama win spurs upheaval
Groups expect a racial backlash, think they'll benefit
PEARL, Miss. — They're not exactly rooting for Barack Obama, but prominent white supremacists anticipate a boost to their cause if he becomes the first black president. His election, they say, would trigger a backlash — white people rising up, a revolution of sorts — that they think is long overdue.
He'd be a "visual aid," former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke said in trying to bring others around to their view that white people have lost control of America. Obama's election, says another, would jar white people into action, writing letters, handing out pamphlets rather than sitting around complaining.

Manitoba Child and Family services was in court Monday to argue for permanent guardianship of a girl and boy, after the seven-year-old girl was sent to school sporting a swastika on her arm.
Child services says it's concerned the parent's conduct might endanger the emotional well-being of the children. It's also said the children may be at risk of harm because of the parent's associations.
In an interview, the mother said: "It's OK to be proud to be a native, it's OK to preach black power," she said, before adding, "But when you're white and you're proud, it's wrong." Interestingly, the woman did not want to show her face on camera. That seems like shame to me, not pride.
I think imposing views like that on a child that very clearly does not understand them is exactly what child services is for. There is not more abusive parenting that parenting that creates hate. What do you think? Should it be the mother's business what she does or is that emotional abuse?Manitoba Child and Family services was in court Monday to argue for permanent... more

Hate Radio: Infesting the Airwaves
A short documentary investigating white supremacist radio host Hal Turner, who formerly broadcast on shortwave radio station WBCQ, and now airs his show on the Internet. This documentary asks questions about the limits of free speech, as we speak to critics of Turner (Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting, One People's Project); his supporters (the Ku Klux Klan); the free speech radio station that aired his show; and to Hal Turner himself.
Running time: 13 minutes. Originally produced between February and April, 2004 at Ithaca College.
If someone at Current likes this, we could most definitely edit it down to a 5 - 7 minute pod for broadcast.Hate Radio: Infesting the Airwaves
