SOUTH PARK! Has iTunes gone too far?

I personally think so for their behavior pertaining to South Park's highly contraversial episodes 200 and 201 where, for those of you who don't know, the Prophet of the muslim faith, Muhammad, must come to South Park to stop the evil Tom Cruise and his gang of celebrities from suing the town so that that have nothing left. This is South Park's greatest achievement in my opinion. They brought back every joke from previous seasons and tied them all together to create a non-stop laugh-athon of hilariousness that keeps you on the edge of your seat in disbelief of what your watching.

Not only were these episodes pulled from the air, but pulled from the iTunes store shortly after 200 was released. I was one of the lucky few to purchase this episode before it vanished, but have been in dire need to get ahold of an uncensored version of 201.

For all of those people who enjoy buying season passes to television shows on iTunes and happened to buy South Park's 14th season pass, I feel for you. You paid 32 dollars for an incomplete season where they have completely censored out the episodes 200 and 201. Is it not bad enough that those episodes are now nowhere to be found online? I had to use a torrent to download 201 and, to my dismay, discovered that it was the version that had been aired live on comedy central with the name "Muhammad" bleeped out along with all the swear words and the entire ending of the episode where Stan, Santa, and Jesus tell the world what they learned in that episode. So after dealing with all the annoying bleeps throughout the episode you have to deal with a giant minute long bleep at the end where people are talking. Just talking. Not swearing. Not doing something dirty and disgustingly raunchy. They were talking into the camera.

iTunes needs to either refund peoples money or release the episodes like they should've done from the beginning.

Trey Parker and Matt Stone are two of my idols because of what they accomplished with the series South Park. But for what they did with 200 and 201 they are now god-like. Never before has a TV show been censored the way these two were.

I believe that the two men have grown tired of South Park and were trying to go out with a bang by bringing back old jokes and questions and characters who fell off the map and intertwined them in a way that you couldn't help but laugh. I think we should all appreciate them and their work and allow them to leave South Park behind on a good note and move on to new things.

My point on that being that if you watched their latest episode of season 14 that aired on wednesday of this week you'd see how lazy the writing is and how much they don't care about being on the air. Sweden Cartoonish Attacked for Muhammad Pic

A few weeks ago, all anyone wanted to talk about was the South Park episode that Comedy Central banned when Trey Parker and Matt Stone defied Muslim fundamentalists by including a cartoon rendition of the prophet Muhammad. Just last week, a bomb scare in NYC was thought to be the result of that fiasco, with an SUV packed full of explosives parked relatively close to the Viacom home offices. Now video out of Sweden shows that this whole Muhammad-as-cartoon situation hasn't cooled off at all (imagine that), with cartoonist Lars Vilks attacked during a lecture after portraying the prophet as a dog in one of his strips. Seems like these days it's tough to be a cartoonist who also wants to draw the Prophet Muhammad. First there were the shenanigans at Comedy Central with the whole 200th episode of South Park fiasco, then there was that bomb (that didn't go of due to massive incompetence on the part of the terrorist behind it) scare last week in New York City. And now we've got footage from a lecture in Sweden, where a cartoonist by the name of Lars Vilks ended up on the wrong side of an angry crowd after drawing a cartoon of Muhammad as a dog. The video explains much of what's going on for those that don't speak the language:

The last time we all sat down to discuss this here at the Comedy Examiner's Office, the response was overwhelming in favor of the guys from South Park: you, the gentle Examiner readers of the world, seemed completely in favor of their freedom to portray Muhammad as they pleased-- be it in his "real", human-like form or while dressed in a giant bear suit. This new case with Lars Vilks, though: what do you guys think? Was this guy tempting fate by going out in public-- in front of what appears to be a large number of fundamentalist Muslims-- after releasing his Muhammad cartoon? Should he have known better? What should they do with the attackers? Hello , my name is XXXX and I was taking a look at your web page . I am interested in it because I am in a Religious Studies class and I am interested in learning more. I just wanted to know your response to this,
if I am correct in saying this...
In Islam heaven is thought of as paradise of wine, women and song. It is achieved by living a life in which, ironically, one abstains from the things with which he or she will be rewarded in paradise. In addition to this abstentiion, one must follow the five Pillars of Islam.
It seems to me that the Islamic faith is a do-it-yourself proposition.
Follow this "way of life", they say, and you will gain favor with God and eventually achieve salvation. There is NO assurance. I would hate to live like that. I realize that Muslims do not believe in "original sin", but regardless of wether or not a man is born sinful or not, would you not agree that every man/woman is sinful? How does one pay for his/her sin?
I understand repentance. I agree with that...but it seems as though one can NEVER do enough to win favor with God. That is why He sent his Son to die for us. All of our sins past present and future.
There is no possibility of assurance in the Islamic faith. I think that would be an awful way to live knowing that I was never gonna make it...not knowing of my salvation until the "day of judgement" whether or not I have done enough "goodworks" or prayed enough...etc.
I have asked a couple of Muslims in my class whether or not they were for sure if they were going to "paradise" or "heaven" when they died. I have not yet had one reply in the affirmative. Rather, they referred to the imperfection of their lives as being a barrier to this realization. THERE IS NO ASSURANCE IN ISLAM, BECAUSE THERE IS NO ATONEMENT, AND SALVATION DEPENDS WHOLLY ON THE INDIVIDUAL'S GAINING ENOUGH "MERIT"
Aslo, if I wanted to become a Muslim, I couldn't. If Muslims think that they are the "chosen people" then why aren't they spreading their faith.
Do you just have to be lucky enough to be born Muslim? If a person wants to become a Christian they can. ANYONE can become a Christian in a matter of seconds. All they have to do is confess that Jesus Christ is who He said He was and repent and believe...that is all a lot easier said than done. But basically that is it. I wasn't born Christian...or raised Christians assert that Jesus Chrit is the only way to God because
Scritpture says, "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12) Jesus Christ said himself
"I am the way the truth and the life, NO ONE comes to the Father except through me..."
He didn't say, I am one way or a way or one truth etc....THE WAY!!!
I and the Father are ONE! Jn 5:18
I just don't understand how anyone could be blind to these facts. Unless they are never told. Which was me.

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
The Reality! (1) What is the Reality? (2) Ah, what will convey unto thee what the reality is! (3) (The tribes of) Thamud and A'ad disbelieved in the judgment to come. (4) As for Thamud, they were destroyed by the lightning. (5) And as for A'ad, they were destroyed by a fierce roaring wind, (6) Which He imposed on them for seven long nights and eight long days so that thou mightest have seen men lying overthrown, as they were hollow trunks of palm-trees. (7) Canst thou (O Muhammad) see any remnant of them?
