What is wrong with people you will ask yourself after watching this footage of a a little girl being run over twice near a hardware market in Foshan, China. Not for the horrific injuries sustained by the child, but for the horrific callousness of over a dozen passers-by who ignored the toddler and left her for dead.
The indifference of 18 individuals who walked past the child without calling for help has generated immense outcry both in China where the video made the rounds on social network sites and around the world.

This incredible video was shot by two guys driving around Southall, luckily they have a video camera in their car recording the traffic (not sure why...). After following a woman who had being doing some bad bad driving they spot her do a nasty hit and run. What follows next is nothing than a nail biting real-life car chase. The accident occurs around 3:15, but it's worth watching the whole thing.

A millionaire from Chicago has managed to buy his way out of jail despite being found guilty of killing two British citizens in a hit-and-run accident in Florida. Thirty-six-year-old Ryan Levin faced up to 30 years in jail for two counts of vehicular homicide and fleeing an accident scene. Levin, who drove a $120,000 Porsche, initially denied involvement in the accident. He avoided a jail sentence by paying an undisclosed settlement to the widows of his victims. Instead of jail he was sentenced to two years house arrest, 10 years probation. This was not Levin’s first offense. In 2006 he ran over a Chicago police officer. > Martin Joel Erzinger, a billion-dollar money manager from Colorado, hit a bicyclist from behind with his car and drove away. However, he will not face felony hit-and-run charges…because the local district attorney said such a conviction could jeopardize Erzinger’s job. Instead, the Morgan Stanley Smith Barney financial expert will face only two misdemeanor traffic charges for injuring Dr. Steven Milo last July.
> Milo says he suffered spinal cord injuries, bleeding from his brain and damage to his knee and scapula from the accident. His attorney filed an objection to the prosecutor’s decision to drop the felony charge.
“Felony convictions have some pretty serious job implications for someone in Mr. Erzinger’s profession, and that entered into it,” DA Mark Hurlbert told the media in explaining his move. “When you're talking about restitution, you don’t want to take away his ability to pay.”
After receiving more than 1,000 emails regarding the case, Hurlbert explained his decision in the Vail Daily by pointing outthat if he had gone after a felony conviction, “Mr. Erzinger would plead to a felony leaving the scene of an accident, and the judgment would be set aside.
“In either two or four years, as long as Mr. Erzinger met certain conditions, the case would drop off his record and he would be allowed to seal this case. Since there was no alcohol or drugs involved, the only conditions I could legally ask for were that he pay restitution and stay out of trouble.
“Given that he had a clean history, Mr. Erzinger would essentially have been able to write a check, and the case would then be dismissed. On top of that, while Dr. Milo was still probably recovering from his injuries, Mr. Erzinger would be able to say that he had no criminal history and even deny that anything had happened. That is not something I could stomach.
“I therefore offered that Mr. Erzinger plead guilty to leaving the scene of an accident and careless driving causing serious bodily injury.
This means that for the rest of his life, Mr. Erzinger will have on his record that he carelessly drove, caused another human being serious bodily injury and left the scene.”

On Sunday morning a stolen car crashed into clubbers outside the Dali nightclub in Rochdale. Fourteen people were taken to the hospital and the police say that it's a miracle that no one got killed. The police are hunting 26-year-old Lee Anthony Bradley who they suspect stole the car after he was kicked out of the nightclub with another man for "behaving in a disorderly way". It is understood they then drove the car at the doormen hitting the 14 people in the process.

Aljazeera is reporting(http://bit.ly/cylxG6) on an Israeli settler hit-and-run attack by automobile on two young Palestinian boys in Silwan protesting the expansion of Israeli settlements and theft of Palestinian land there. As horrible as the video is to watch– and one hopes the boys are not gravely injured– it is a remarkable simile for what the settlers are doing to the Palestinians.

A state senator running for New York attorney general was a passenger in a car involved Monday night in what witnesses called a hit-and-run accident.
The senator, Eric T. Schneiderman, who represents parts of Manhattan and the Bronx, was leaving the NY1 studio in Chelsea after taping an interview when his driver hit a parked minivan and left the scene. No injuries were reported.

A woman died when she was run over attempting to stop a thief who made off with her car, police said today.
The woman, believed to be aged 42, confronted the raider who broke into her yellow MG which was parked in Worsley Mesnes, Greater Manchester, yesterday afternoon.
She suffered serious head injuries after she walked to the front of the car in an attempt to stop the thief and was hit on to the bonnet of the vehicle as it sped off.
Police said the woman was taken to Wigan Royal Infirmary but later died.
The incident happened in Prestt Grove at about 4.20pm when the woman returned to her car and spotted someone in the driver's seat.
Officers appealed for anyone who has seen the stolen MG, registration AK53 WNW, to call police.
Detective Chief Inspector Robert Tonge of Wigan CID said: "This is a shocking incident in which a car thief has deliberately driven at a woman.
"She went on to the car bonnet and suffered a serious head injury. Tragically, she later died in hospital. Whoever did this is clearly reckless and potentially dangerous so we need the public's help to catch him.
"It's quite a distinctive vehicle so we really need to hear from anyone who knows of this car's whereabouts."

A driver involved in a hit and run incident claims he failed to see a 6 foot tall woman dressed in an orange rabbit costume, riding a pedicab before he ran into her. He has been charged with hit and run driving, but not recklessly endangering another person.
The "rabbit" was said to be disappointed as her pedicab was clearly visible with blinking lights and reflectors.

A drunk off-duty cop mowed down a Brooklyn pastor's daughter Sunday as she left a wedding - and three others in his car, including another officer, fled, police sources said.
Officer Andrew Kelly was behind the wheel of his blue Jeep Grand Cherokee when he hit Vionique Valnord, 32, who was hailing a cab at Avenue N and E. 56th St. in Old Mill Basin, police said.
The impact sent Valnord, who had left a friend's wedding moments before the 1a.m. accident, flying through the air. She died soon after at Kings County Hospital.
Kelly, a seven-year veteran cop, is assigned to the 68th Precinct in Bay Ridge. He was charged with vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated, police said.

A cyclist who pedalled the world for more than 40 years, braving raging rivers, soldier ants, a lion and enjoying the hospitality of an Eskimo princess, has been killed by a hit-and-run driver in Greece.
Ian Hibell, 74, was a legendary figure in the world of long-distance cycle touring setting several records and pedalling the equivalent of ten times around the Equator.
He died on the Athens to Salonika highway on August 23, when he was struck by a car apparently involved in a race with another motorist.
