A great thing about this album is that it features over half a dozen people. Undoubtly, Big Boi's choice of artists featured really is eclectic at the least. From the Bay Area rapper Too Short to the R&B nightingale Janelle Monae. I am particularly not a fan of Gucci Mane so that's a pass. André 3000 is no surprise, he's also a great addition to the album, adds the Outkast sound to it. T.I. on "Tangerine" just makes the song a flagship track. B.o.B. is one of my newest favorite artists and he's a positive on this album...

Big Boi tells DJ Delz that Sir Lucious Left Foot will have three songs with Andre 3000
Southern rapper Chamillionaire recently talked with SOHH about comeback albums from Scarface and T.I. being in the works and why he would love to see Andre 3000 make a return to rap.
From Cham's perspective, the rap game needs the OutKast frontman.
"One person I really think should come back man is Andre 3000," Cham told SOHH. "I don't know if he's going to but man, the game needs that dude man. For real. Musically, anything, features, I'd be happy with anything. He'll do one feature every ten years. [laughs] Like d*mn man, he came out with that 'Walk It Out' remix and that was ill, he ripped it. And that was it, he kinda fell back again. That's kinda what a lot of the OG's are doing, Eminem is the same way. I know what Eminem is capable of, I know he does a lot of that crazy stuff to get people out there, I had a conversation with him, actually, I don't want to repeat what was said but he said something that was so interesting to me. He made me think about every person in the industry that actually wants to be creative, it's always that little bit of hesitance. And they don't want to do it because they're worried about how people will take it and how it will sell." (SOHH)
In addition to Andre, Cham said he would love to see new projects from Nas and Mobb Deep.
"I love it when people like that come back," Cham told SOHH. "I'm not one of them guys that gets upset when they say they're gonna retire and then come back. Even now I'm seeing stuff from like from Devin the Dude, I don't know if it's gonna be super mainstream, but I think stuff like that is needed to balance out the game...People like Andre 3000, Nas even like Mobb Deep or whoever, we want people from that old era that used to put out music, people to be making music...that's like UGK not coming out with an album, Bun B not coming out with an album, never again...Sometimes with something classic and timeless, you can try to come back and make people happy but the fact is people ain't gonna be happy. People complain all the time. They want the Hot Boys to be back together, they want the old Jay-Z. They want the whole old Dipset, but the fact is when they all get back together, they are never ever able to create that old feeling that the fans used to love." (SOHH)
Rap newcomer Drake recently said he was influenced by Nas and Andre 3000 while recording his debut, Thank Me Later.
"It's gonna be bigger, it's gonna sound happier," Drake said comparing it to his So Far Gone album. "Yeah, it's gonna sound bigger, it's gonna sound victorious because that's where I am in my life -- I really studied Nas to be honest, Nas was like somebody that I used to listen to his raps and not really understand 'how' he did it, I always wanted to understand how he painted those pictures and his bar structure and all of that. I went back and really studied Nas, studied Andre 3000 [for this album] and I hope you like it." (IM Flashy)
Cham is currently putting together his third solo project, Venom.

For the first time ever on stage, experience the wildly original hit animated series as it leaves the small screen and jumps full throttle onto the stage at the Alliance. Andre Benjamin (OutKast’s André 3000) developed this story of an international music star who flees his own celebrity to return to Atlanta. But new musical inspiration is just around the corner when he’s discovered by a group of young musical prodigies at a performing arts middle school – in a desperate search for a music teacher. Class of 3000 LIVE is a hometown Atlanta original, harnessing the power of self-expression to inspire all ages to live their dreams.
The star hopes the live shows will one day be performed in schools across the U.S., inspiring a new generation to take an interest in music. He says, "This is about having fun with the music and melodies. It's not like we're trying to throw candy-coated morals at kids. We're bringing music to life for them to remember.
"I wanted to make sure it wasn't the teenybopper, kiddie sounds or stupid songs. I wanted to introduce them to different styles of music I was introduced to. From funk to jazz to calypso music, just to let them know there's a base from what they are hearing now."
The play is expected to run until the end of the month (29Mar09) at the Alliance Children's Theatre. For the first time ever on stage, experience the wildly original hit animated series... more

André Benjamin, his hands thrust into the pockets of his suspender pants, really did look as if he would rather curl up at home with his Singer than be known as another singer who can sew. He was there to introduce a line of men’s wear called Benjamin Bixby, which includes tweed plus fours and club sweaters with leather elbow patches. The collection was inspired by Ivy League athletics of the 1930s. It looked like Ralph Lauren having a Steampunk moment.André Benjamin, his hands thrust into the pockets of his suspender pants,... more

As we reported earlier, Andre 3000 is not planning to come back as some sort of savior of rap, but he is still doing the movies. With that, 3K has been gearing up for the release of a new film he's got. "Battle in Seattle" is a new picture starring Andre Benjamin alongside Ray Liotta, Woody Harrelson and Charlize Theron. Battle is a film about a riot that happened after a peaceful protest against The World Trade Organizations in Seattle back in 1999.
"When I saw the title "Battle in Seattle," I thought it was catchy," he told MTV. "I thought, 'Hey, this may be some kind of rap movie.' You know, they want some kind of battle. They want me to do the kind of '8 Mile' battle thing. 'Cause that's the roles they give to rappers anyway. So once I read it, I was like, 'Hey, OK, this is something serious.' And then, the bigger picture, it was something I didn't know about. I knew if I didn't know about it, I knew a lot of people didn't know about it. So I said, 'Let me bring this to the world ... through my people, through people in the rap world.' So at that point, I felt like I was doing a good deed bringing light to it."

Andre 3000 [click to read] has never been the type to toot his own horn. So although his lyrical prowess has caused many to put his sparse verses on a pedestal, Andre has met the high acclaim with a cold shoulder.
“Man, I really appreciate that people appreciate what I do, but I don't like that type of pressure,” Andre 3000 told MTV recently.
He continued, “I hate it, to be honest. ... I cannot save no whole rap game. I mean, the rap game has to save itself. Everybody's saving it. People like Lil Wayne is saving it. He's bringing energy to it. You cannot put that all on one

After a three year feud of not speaking, subliminal and overt insults and an alleged physical confrontation, Outkast's Big Boi and his former artist Killer Mike have reconciled.
Atlanta's Maurice G. Garland, reported on the meeting firsthand. It seems both artists were encouraged to resolve the simmering conflict at the urging of close family members and a nasty bout of Atlanta weather.
