“History of the internet” is an well-done, interesting animated documentary about history & development of the web, explaining the concepts & the basics of time-sharing, file-sharing, arpanet and internet.
The video uses a new type of info-graphic called PICOL icons, a project that aims to create “a standard and reduced sign system for electronic communication.” PICOL is free to use and open to alter.

No problem!, if you use Ask.com as your search engine. The new eraser tool launches today, and will delete your queries from their system within a few hours. But since Ask relies on Google for the ads that run beside your searches...Google still gets to store your search data. Better than nothing, though, I suppose. So, what do you think? Here's an interesting list containing the first 100 .com domains registered. Many of the names you haven't heard of, many you have.
