Carrie Prejean has been dethroned as Miss California USA for "contract violations," including missing scheduled pageant events, according to a state pageant official. Prejean retained her title last month despite a controversy over topless photos, missed appearances and her statements against same-sex marriage.
Miss USA pageant owner Donald Trump decided to fire Prejean a month after he gave her a second chance.
State pageant Executive Director Keith Lewis said: "This was a decision based solely on contract violations, including Ms. Prejean's unwillingness to make appearances on behalf of the Miss California USA organization."
Donald Trump added: "I told Carrie she needed to get back to work and honor her contract with the Miss California USA organization, and I gave her the opportunity to do so. Unfortunately, it just doesn't look like it is going to happen, and I offered Keith my full support in making this decision."
Prejean stepped into controversy at the Miss USA pageant in April when she declared her opposition to same-sex marriage in a response to a question asked during the national pageant. Prejean finished as first runner-up, but it was not clear if her answer cost her the crown.

There will be no more second chances for former Miss California Carrie Prejean. The Miss USA runner-up has officially been fired, this time with the blessing of pageant owner Donald Trump.
Miss California pageant officials said Wednesday that Prejean was fired because of continued breach of contract issues.
“This was a decision based solely on contract violations including Ms. Prejean’s unwillingness to make appearances on behalf of the Miss California USA organization,” executive director Keith Lewis said in a statement sent to ABCNews.com. “After our press conference in New York we had hoped we would be able to forge a better working relationship. However, since that time it has become abundantly clear that Carrie is unwilling to fulfill her obligations under our contract and work together.”
Even Trump, the real estate mogul who co-owns the Miss USA organization and saved Prejean from losing her crown last month, did not stand in the way this time.
“I told Carrie she needed to get back to work and honor her contract with the Miss California USA Organization and I gave her the opportunity to do so,” Trump said in the statement. “Unfortunately it just doesn’t look like it is going to happen and I offered Keith my full support in making this decision. Prejean’s representative did not respond immediately to requests for comment from ABCNews.com.
Miss California runner-up Tami Farrell will immediately take over the crown and Prejean’s responsibilities as Miss California. Prejean became famous for her anti-gay comments during the Miss USA pageant and her subsequent homophobic commercials for NOM.
Prejean went MIA following her anti-gay launch to stardom and refused to answer calls from Miss California officials in the after math of the media storm. It appears she never did get back to them.

In response to the bitter criticism she has been receiving, Carrie Prejean has made a promise to fight back at her detractors with everything she has in her arsenal (no prizes for guessing that she means her big naked breasts.)
"I will go anywhere, anytime, anyway to make my case," she said. "These breasts are made for walking."
Ms Prejean, Queen of California, plans to travel the country speaking out against same sex marriage, using her nakedness to draw attention to the cause. (Perhaps she plans to ‘convert’ all the lost homosexual males out there who will unfailingly realise the error of their ways upon beholding Miss California in all her glory?)

Miss USA pageant co-owner Donald Trump announced that despite the controversy over her stand on gay marriage and racy pre-pageant photos that have surfaced, Carrie Prejean will retain the title of Miss California USA. Trump also commended Prejean for speaking her mind about same-sex marriage during the Miss USA Pageant.
“We’ve reviewed the pictures carefully. We are in the 21st century and I talked about relevance,” Trump told a packed press conference in Trump Tower Tuesday morning. “Carrie’s a model … We’ve made a determination that the pictures taken were acceptable, they’re fine, in many cases they’re very lovely pictures and in some cases they’re modeling pictures.”
