Michelangelo created the Sistine Chapel in four years, it took the Cubes Work Studio only 400 hours.
Eleven puzzle addicts got together and for a period of just over two weeks re-created Michelangelo's Hand of God using a record breaking 12,090 Rubik's cubes.
They had to twist each Rubix cube to get the colours just right. They took the image off of the computer but the colours and shading were difficult to identify because of the quality of the image.
So Josh Chalom, the creative director made sure they "restored the piece so Adam didn't look like he just came out of a tanning salon and God didn't look so red that he resembled his arch-rival."

“Michelangelo: The Drawings of a Genius” presents a selection of pictures from a major exhibition of around one hundred of the most beautiful drawings by Michelangelo currently at the Albertina in Vienna, Austria. This is the first major Michelangelo exhibition in more than twenty years, with a focus on the figural drawings by Michelangelo, who is introduced here as the genius of a period of change.
This piece includes a number of high-resolution pictures, a slide show of additional images from the exhibition and a documentary short film.

You can lose a lot behind a sofa, pens, keys, loose change and a $300m Michelangelo painting.
The Kober family from New York took the painting down after it was hit by a tennis ball and only till recently found out the picture was from 1545 and painted by the famed artist for a friend.
"Mr Forcellino believes the work was painted by Michelangelo, in about 1545, as a gift for a friend. It then passed to two Catholic cardinals before ending up in the hands of a German baroness. She bequeathed it to a favourite lady-in-waiting who was the sister-in-law of Mr Kober's great grandfather. Michelangelo's famous statue of David could collapse because of its exposure to mass tourism, Italian experts say.
They say the massive statue of the naked boy-warrior is in danger because of its size, shape and the weakness of the marble from which it was carved. But they warn that the greatest risk comes from the footfall of many visitors who troop past it each day at Florence's Galleria dell'Accademia. The experts want to protect the statue by insulating it from the vibrations. This would cost about 1m euros (£785,000). Otherwise David could topple over, engineers from the University of Perugia say.
The warning follows a detailed study of the statue which showed that the cracks filled during major restoration works four years ago - on the occasion of its 500th anniversary - have already reopened. That restoration was itself controversial because it involved using distilled water to clean the statue - which critics argued could damage it. Michelangelo's David has had iconic status almost since its completion at the height of the Renaissance.
At the time it was seen as a powerful symbol of Florence's republican political ideals: David being the youthful warrior who felled the mighty Goliath in the Biblical Old Testament story. Since then it has enjoyed mixed fortunes: attacked by crowds when it was first displayed, then hacked by a deranged painter in 1991. The statue has also acquired kitsch status - its copies adorn everything from casinos in Las Vegas to tacky Mediterranean beach bars. "Michelangelo, who began working on the basilicas construction in 1547, was in his late 80s when he did the sketch. The sketch is especially rare, the Vatican newspaper noted, because the artist ordered many of his designs destroyed when he was an old man"
