Ah, the Irish and the Irish-blooded will be drinking their Guinesses, and Kilkennies and whiskeys deep this night as they sing songs of a battles lost, heroes martyred, whiskey plundered, potatoes ungrown, and women’s hearts stolen. Nothing becomes an Irishman more than defeat and hardship. The Irish (and to a degree the Scots and Welsh) remember more the battles they lost than the victors do who won them. This proud tradition carries on in the Scots and Irish descendants in Southern America where old swords still hang above fireplaces and a long ago lost war is vividly remembered.
An old Irish toast:
May ye be a half-hour in Heaven
Before the Devil knows your dead!
Ah, the Irish and the Irish-blooded will be drinking their Guinesses, and Kilkennies... more

A man walking from Texas to his hometown in Washington state has had a cross to bear for months. James Strickland says he's been dragging a 12-foot cross from Longview, Texas, to his Aberdeen home since May.
The 39-year-old says he was praying about his troubled past when he received a message to start walking on a journey of renewal. He took along the cross, which rolls on wheels with his belongings tied near the bottom.
He expects to reach home Tuesday or Wednesday. Strickland says the trek has taken him through Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Utah and Idaho.
He says he hopes to reconcile with the mother of his two children.
Aberdeen police Capt. John Green told KXRO-AM that Strickland also has several misdemeanor warrants to clear up...A man walking from Texas to his hometown in Washington state has had a cross to bear... more

A man like this John Hagee is another dangerous religious fanatic and troublemaker but his mega church is filled with Ignorant Jackasses who believe everything this bag of fat blows out over the ignorant audience. He is typical of the fire and brimstone circuit preachers of the past. And why hasn't his tax free status been revoked since he is interfering with politics and there is a constitutional ban against politics and religion together? He is abusing his position as emperor of his church to interfere in world politics even to inciting a war between Israel and Iran. Where in the hell do these guys get the guts to build these mercenary churches? Are the public masses so stupid and fearful of death that they will give all of their income to buy a seat on the trolley car to heaven? I would like to warn all christians if you believe in a heaven in outer space I might add trhat you had better wrap your soul in a thich robe of silicon for outer space is chaos, filled with black holes and gas and dust clouds and the temperature may go from below absolute zero where even an atom is stopped dead in its tracks up to ten or 20 million degrees fahrenheit at speeds of millions of miles per hour. Its rough out there in heaven. Im not sure that I would like it but then I am going else where when I die. After the police have arrested 44 people in New Jersey on a multitude of charges, the shocker is about to bring down the world Jewish community in that it has been learned that the rabbis in New Jersey have been running a mafia-style syndicate- with a sideline in human internal organs - as a small part of a global criminal conspiracy to traffic in human body parts that is headquartered in Israel and financed by the Israeli National Health Plan paid for, inevitably, by American taxpayersAfter the police have arrested 44 people in New Jersey on a multitude of charges, the... more

"What is government but the incorporated fending for their own. We need to empower the individual; we need an army of remarkable individuals in this war on ignorance, poverty, and despair. One human being at a time we are embarking on a wondrous journey of self discovery and empowerment. We all have the power to change reality; we need you, the world is waiting."
