Why Police Are Turning Against Prohibition
For decades, police were convinced that total prohibition was the only way to end America's deadly drug wars. Now thousands of cops are not only having second thoughts but actually taking to the streets in protest.
“I was pro-prohibition: that’s what my training was about!” says Major Neill Franklin, Executive Director of Law Enforcement Against Prohibition (LEAP), who previously served for 33 years with the Maryland State Police and the Baltimore police forces on the front line of America’s longest running war. “Even though I grew up in Baltimore and saw what was going on, we were taught and trained to believe that if we push hard enough, if we lock up the people involved, then this will eventually dissipate, or at least be reduced to a manageable level.” He gives a long, world-weary sigh. “Of course back then I had no clue...You just can’t tell somebody not to use and they’re gonna stop using! As long as there are people willing to buy, and as long as people don’t have employment, then you’re going to have an illicit drug trade. I saw that we made these arrests—we locked up dealers and users alike—and it might get quiet for a few days, or even a couple of weeks, but give it time and it all starts up again.”
This is a man whose time in law enforcement was highly successful by anyone’s barometer. In the course of his career, he ended up becoming a Commander and leading a number of narcotics task forces. He was promoted and recruited so often that he once joked, "Every time I turned around, I was in a new position.” The idea that this stalwart drug law enforcer would one day become one of America’s most outspoken and proactive critics of prohibition seems shocking. But once Franklin starts to talk about his conversion from drug law zealot to dedicated reform campaigner, the cool logic of his position becomes clear.

Paul/Frank: End the Prohibition on Pot - Bipartisan
NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul and outspoken Massachusetts Democrat Barney Frank want to get the federal government out of the marijuana regulation business.
States should make their own rules concerning the leafy green stuff, and regulate it themselves, the pair propose in legislation that will be introduced Thursday.
The bill would allow the Feds to continue enforcing cross-border or inter-state smuggling, but states would set their own laws, and people could grow and sell marijuana in places that choose to make it legal.
The bill is, of course, a longshot. But making it a law isn't the whole point, according to Morgan Fox, communications manager at the Marijuana Policy Project.
"A bill like this is going to get talked about quite a bit," Fox said. "I think it will spark a strong debate in the media, and we hope to get some [House] floor time for it."

Cost of the War on Drugs VIDEO
Brian Aitken just directed this video on the Cost of the War on Drugs through the Foundation for Economic Education with help from Jeffrey Miron, Harvard Economist and Senior Fellow at the CATO Institute.
After 40 years of violence, murder, and trillions of dollars spent with no end in sight the video begs you to ask yourself: Does it make sense?
The Foundation for Economic Education: FEE is the oldest free-market organization in America. Founded in 1946 FEE’s mission is to offer the most consistent case for the “first principles” of freedom: the sanctity of private property, individual liberty, the rule of law, the free market, and the moral superiority of individual choice and responsibility over coercion.
Brian Aitken: Best known for being sentenced to seven years in prison for possessing his legally owned firearms. After a two year legal battle where corruption reigned he spent four months in prison before being released by Governor Chris Christie. A Deprivation of Civil Rights suit is pending against the Police, Prosecutor and Judge (who has since been dismissed). Aitken is now the Director of New Media for FEE.
Jeffrey Miron: Jeffrey A. Miron is Senior Lecturer and Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Department of Economics at Harvard University and a Senior Fellow at the Cato Institute. Miron has previously served on the faculties of the University of Michigan and Boston University; at the latter, he was Department chairman for six years. He has been the recipient of an Olin Fellowship from the National Bureau of Economic Research, an Earhart Foundation Fellowship, and a Sloan Foundation Faculty Research Fellowship. Miron holds a B.A. in economics, magna cum laude, from Swarthmore College and a Ph.D. in economics from M.I.T.
The CATO Institute: The Cato Institute is a public policy research organization — a think tank — dedicated to the principles of individual liberty, limited government, free markets and peace. Its scholars and analysts conduct independent, nonpartisan research on a wide range of policy issues.Brian Aitken just directed this video on the Cost of the War on Drugs through the... more-

Thoughts of a Middling American – Part 2
by David Shirk on May 25, 2011 in Philosophy
I was surprised to see some of the comments that I did on my last article – Thoughts of a Middling American Part 1 (http://current.com/1m4umkc ). I wonder if many of the readers even know where the term Middling came from. Empire of Liberty has a good few chapters on it – good book. That having been said, here is part two, and the answer to some of the comments.
“seems to me that you have made a whole lot of assumptions in your post.”
You do not seem to have read the entire article as I will now address.
“You said that any law that seeks to limit human behavior will fail. Well, I think the law that limits murder is a pretty good law, and yes it fails”
Murder is hardly normal human behavior – you then say “Isn’t the law there so people who do commit murder can be prosecuted for same?” And yet one need not go very far to see the very same law throwing people into prison or giving them life in prison (having been convicted of murder) – when the evidence was largely lacking – in addition, many have even had their innocence proven after the sentence has already been carried out. However I still see your point and consider it no less valid despite my opposing view on the matter – however how many laws do we have on the books in regards to murder as oppose to tax laws etc? Or if you believe that taxes are fully justified, then how about laws regarding trade, business transactions, ethics, civil rights etc? such laws have in the past benefitted some people, yet on the same token, cost far more to have to cut back as a result. Bastiat explained it far better than I ever could, and if you believe yourself to be smarter then he is in the grand scheme of things, then I would like to see you refute his points. Start with his short work – The Law.
“Funny, I find that we are being ruled more by the minority (large corporations) than by the majority (the people).” – We are ruled by the minority true – but does not the ‘majority’ as society calls it, elect the minority into office to ‘lead’ them? If so, then I stand by my corollary – “Even within the majority lies a major upset in belief systems. So how can a people honestly believe that whatever the majority on the whole agrees on will be beneficial to all? It cannot, and the notion people have that what works for them will work for me is offensive at best.”
“I guess you think that if a person has an “ivy league” education that they are some how not fit to hold office. Perhaps you would rather they not be educated at all.” – Trite. However consider this – if our leaders are so intelligent, then how is that after 230 years, we have become that which we fought against in the initial revolution? The truth is that there are libraries, seminars, bookstores, and a wealth of information online as well as discussion boards. Or even places to discuss ideas online. Besides, whether one has a degree or not is irrelevant – I could give you several essays and seminars written by a guy who holds a PhD and a masters degree, but because he disagree with your Phd and masters guy, it does not matter. This is why I listen to both, read the source material, watch for reactions, and judge for myself.
I have seen more attacks on the post then I have anything rebutting them – most are directed at the source not the content. Sad really.
Funny how the guy who did 10 years of law enforcement (and thus knows of which he speaks) was voted down simply for agreeing with me – most likely by those who never served themselves. Once again – kinda sad…I served 10 years in the army and am proficient in small team tactics. I would bet my bottom dollar that if I started posting these tactics on this forum, that they too would be voted down and have one sided comments thrown at them by those who never had any training or military studies at all. It seems that is what makes for intelligent talk on this forum.
More people argue the number of views then the content. I would laugh, but it’s really not funny. The truth is that I find it sick that people would rather argue about software bugs and rankings then actually debate on a comment based forum on the content of the article…oh well.
“since we have not spoken with these individuals personally, or seen any of their test scores, or IQ scores (altho IQ tests are no longer as popular as they once were) aren’t we actually engaging in the author’s style of ‘assumption’?” No you are not. If you catch someone in the act of murdering someone else, would you believe them if they were to finish killing, and then tell you that they didn’t do it? I judge off of actions taken – not by what the guys say. The more open your eyes are, and the more facts you gather to add context and depth, the more you reason and the less you assume.
“ I rather think that as finite humans we will engage in ‘assuming’ because on some level we must assume before we can prove or disprove a hypothesis (or assumption).”” We all make assumptions sometimes. I am certainly no exception. However I would never petition for a law based off of an ignorant assumption either. In addition – I know what I know, and what works for me – and would never try to impose my way of doing things onto you. I understand that you also know what you know, and like me – are sometimes forced into a position where you must assume. However there is nothing more dangerous than setting a policy or long term action based on assumption.
“I had a college instructor who always gave essay tests, but he stated at the outset of his class that you didn’t need to parrot back what he said was the correct answer, you merely needed to argue ‘your’ answer successfully — that is how we learn.” – Sounds like you had a good professor.
Okay – that’s enough of that; time for something completely different.
In martial arts, you try to keep yourself on guard and not present your opponent with an opening. If you overextend yourself or get off balance, you create an expanded target area that your opponent will take advantage of. National defense is no different – the more you expand your area of occupation, the more you open yourself up to attack.
If you see an injustice being visited upon someone else, and want to do something about it – then feel free. Just be aware that you don’t know the offender, or their capabilities. Also be aware of your surrounding and other potential threats to you should you choose to interfere, lest you to become a victim. The same goes for our foreign policy on ‘getting the bad guy’. Unfortunately we never bothered to learn the nature of what we attack before doing so hence the many ‘foreign interventions’ we have made – some over 60 years old – that we are still tied up in today.
It is noble to help someone else when you can. It is stupid if you try to help them and impoverish yourself in the process, for then someone will have to help you as well – the cycle never ends.
Someone who works for something themselves is far less likely to take it for granted, and far more likely to use the proceeds in a meaningful manner.
Do not attribute to malice what is done in ignorance. Wars start this way.
I have read entirely too many books not of the main stream. This is frustrating because few people read the books I read. Oprah sells more books than Allistair Horne, Wood, or Rothbard. People love commentary off of current events – people hate studying the history behind them.
We live in a snapshot society where the only reality that seems to matter is what is currently being felt or experienced. I cannot think of to many things more damaging to a people then the adoption of this mindset. When age old wisdom is replaced with common knowledge, the people doom the....

Medical Marijuana From Sea to Shining Sea? A Lawsuit Wants to Force Feds to Say Yes to Pot
Marijuana advocates filed a suit in a U.S. Circuit Court today to force the Obama administration to answer a petition that seeks to have the federal government recognize cannabis as a drug with acceptable medical uses. The suit wants the court to order the administration to answer the original request within 60 days. This after nine years of stalling on the matter, according to California NORML, which is party to Monday's suit.

Thoughts of a Middling "American"
by David Shirk
Assumptions are made about an event or action when there is a lack of information. Assumptions are easy to make, yet are usually very inaccurate. Reason on the other hand relies on information, and therefore is far more accurate than assumption. A people who assume too much and reason to little will never fail to impoverish themselves.
Gathering, weighing, and placing information into context is a relatively long process, and therefore not very popular. Thus assumption becomes conventional wisdom over common sense.
It is wrong to ask someone else to do something to further your ideals that you yourself would not do because you cannot be bothered with it. It is even more wrong to request your chosen leader to accomplish this for you at the expense of others.
With the right spin, stupidity can be made out to appear as nobility, tyranny as freedom, and poverty as wealth.
Fact is the event that actually happens. Perception is how people perceive such events with the knowledge they possess. Therefore if a people on the whole know little about an event, then they will be unable to place it in context. When this happens, a people become easily fooled into buying even the most nonsensical of laws.
Control the perception of the people by controlling the information flow, and you control the people.
A mob does not have to be violent to be dangerous. A mob that can vote has proven that time and time again.
If you want to upset a society, allow the village idiot a voice on its council. The village idiot can put things in simple terms that most people can understand with little or no research and therefore gains popularity. Once popular, the idiocy spreads until the society crumbles.
There are at least three definitions for every word – the dictionary definition, the political definition, and the popular one. Because society uses a mix of all of these, there is no end to the nonsense it will pursue.
Why do most modern day conservative Christians think that National debt is okay, when the bible speaks often on the dangers of being in debt? It is easy to claim a religion when it fits your purpose. It only becomes hard when you actually choose to live up to your beliefs as written.
The idea that everyone in the nation agrees on anything is more mythical than a belief in flying pigs. Therefore all a democracy can ever be is the rule of the majority over the minority. Even within the majority lies a major upset in belief systems. So how can a people honestly believe that whatever the majority on the whole agrees on will be beneficial to all? It cannot, and the notion people have that what works for them will work for me is offensive at best.
By changing the legal definition of a word, the law turns a civil right into a privilege. Under such a governing body, there is no freedom.
The fate of all governments is the same as a ship that is put to sea to often and worked beyond its limits – it will eventually sink itself. First the ship is built – or a government is established. Then it gets put to sea – the government starts governing. As the ship is passed from owner to owner it grows more and more overloaded and suffers from a lack of maintenance – as the government goes through leaders, it makes more and more laws and attempts to function beyond its limits. The ship hits a patch of rough waters, and sinks – the government becomes top heavy, and collapses. It is only a matter of time.
The more you try to control a people by force, the more rebellious they will become. This is why all governing bodies that hope to stay in power for a longer time use bad press, and outright lies as oppose to a gun. The gun only comes into play should their lies cease to work.
Any law that seeks to limit human behavior will fail no matter how well thought out. First it will be created, then it will be found to be insufficient to accomplish its lofty promise, and then it is modified. Rinse, lather, and repeat. Soon the law begins operating far outside of its intended purpose as it tries to please everyone. Then it sinks the people into debt and ignorance. By that time that happens, it has become accustomed to, and is no longer even a second thought to the majority until they come face to face with the consequences.
So accustomed will a people become to a bad law, that they will follow it – even after it has robbed them of their peace, freedoms, and prosperity.
I am not a negative person, I just pay attention.
Just because I am not a follower of the majority does not mean that I ‘just don’t get it’; it just means that I bothered to look into it myself and made my own judgment on the issue. If you would turn off the news, put the paper down, and actually examine the sources themselves and study them, you would see what I was talking about.
Following along with the ideals of your Ivy League educated ‘leader’ does not make you enlightened. It just means that you will follow them no matter how ridiculous their idea might be.
If you do not fully understand the details on an issue, then voting is the most irresponsible thing you can do. Just because an actor or entertainer tells you to do so, does not mean that you should.
To all those who join the Armed Forces thinking that you are serving your country, be aware that you are not serving your country, but its government. Also be aware that to enlist, you have to swear an oath to a piece of paper that the same government tramples on – every – single – day. If you want to protect those you love – stay at home where you will actually be able to do so.
To all those who seek to join Law Enforcement – you are not protecting or serving your community – you are protecting and serving a legal body that uses your efforts to further their own agendas. If

Governments New Tracking System – PLAN
The governments got a PLAN. This PLAN’s origins were not in the halls of congress, but in the Department of Homeland Security’s baby FEMA, and the FCC. Before I begin, just keep in mind that neither of those bodies has to go to congress before taking action – they just do as they think as best, without the say so of any kind of vote at all.
PLAN – Personal Localized Alerting Network. This is an act that will allow the FCC and FEMA to send alerts to your phone in case of an impending emergency in your area. Cell phone providers such as AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon will be using it even ahead of the proposed schedule. The media has been playing this off as something that only the President will have control over, making it appear that we the people actually have a say. This is simply not true according to the FCC and FEMA – http://www.fcc.gov/encyclopedia/personal-localized-alerting-network-plan and http://www.fema.gov/news/newsrelease.fema?id=54882 .
To those who know nothing about IT, this ma........

Delaware Becomes 16th State to Legalize Medicinal Cannabis!!!
(Reuters) - Delaware became the 16th state on Friday to legalize marijuana for medical use after the governor signed the bill into law.
The law allows patients who certify they have a serious medical condition such as cancer to possess up to six ounces, or 170 grams, of marijuana.
State-licensed centers will be allowed to grow the marijuana and dispense it to patients 18 and older.
Democratic Governor Jack Markell signed the bill in private without a ceremony, according to his office.
The state Senate passed the measure on Wednesday by a 17-4 vote.
California was the first state to allow marijuana for medical use in 1996.
*********************
Many more states are expected to follow suit. How many states need to do this before cannabis/THC is finally rescheduled? In reality, it should have only taken 1 state... We now have a full THIRD of US states with medicinal cannabis laws even though the government has refused to acknowledge it's medicinal value, let alone the fact that it is a completely safe and non-toxic recreational substance that could offer a valuable alternative to alcohol which is one of this nation's leading substances attributing to the death of thousands of people every year.
http://budbeauties.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/san-diego-medical-marijuana.jpg
PS - If you're wondering why I called it "Cannabis" that's because I refuse to call it "marijuana". Marijuana is a dirty racist term founded in the roots of the propaganda campaign that led to one of the biggest travesties in history...
Legalize, regulate and educate!! Cannabis should be free for adults to use as they wish, whether it be medicinal, spiritual, inspirational, or just simply recreational use. If we can drink ourselves to death with an accepted toxin with no medicinal value, why can't we choose to use a non-toxic herb for whatever we want???(Reuters) - Delaware became the 16th state on Friday to legalize marijuana for medical... more-

Cannabis; An Amazing Resource
We all know the real reason weed is illegal. It's not because people who are stoned are dangerous or violent, or a threat to their community. As secretary of state Hillary Clinton recently stated, there is too much money in it. Without the millions of criminal marijuana users, there wouldn't be such a great need for the amount of security forces and government watch groups to take our hard earned tax dollars and turn it into guns and ammo. We are not stupid, but it seems as if we are being treated as if we are. We need to remember that we get to control how we live in this country, and on this planet as free human beings. It is us who decides what is and isn't acceptable. The people in charge might not be listening to us today, but one day very soon a new generation will. Government = the people. Get involved.

What is NonAggressionism?
The non-aggression principle (also called the non-aggression axiom, or the anti-coercion or zero aggression principle or non-initiation of force) is an ethical stance which asserts that "aggression" is inherently illegitimate. "Aggression" is defined as the "initiation" of physical force against persons or property, the threat of such, or fraud upon persons or their property. In contrast to pacifism, the non-aggression principle does not preclude violent self-defense.

Drug Lords Celebrate the Drug War's 50th anniversary at the UN
Drug lords celebrate the 50th anniversary of the United Nations Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs, signed on 30 March 1961. 73 countries were represented at the conference that took place in New York from 24 January to 25 March 1961, which sought to lay a new solid foundation for drug control in the post-war United Nations era.
The aim was to replace the multiple existing multilateral treaties in the field with a single instrument as well as to reduce the number of international treaty organs concerned with the control of narcotic drugs, and to make provisions for the control of the production of raw materials of narcotic drugs. The Single Convention entered into force on 13 December 1964, having met the requirement of forty state ratifications.
Fifty years on, it is time for a critical reflection on the validity of the Single Convention today: a reinterpretation of its historical significance and an assessment of its aims, its strengths and its weaknesses. Indeed, while there is often a tendency to interpret the treaty as part of an unbroken continuum dating back to the first decade of the last century, the Single Convention must rather be seen as a significant change in way the international community approached drug control.
The dealers in this satirical celebration (protest) are making the point of who is really benefiting from prohibition

If you support keeping drugs illegal…
You support robberies and assaults on innocent people.
The high prices of drugs caused by prohibition force many drug addicts to turn to robbery in order to pay for their drugs. Legalization would drop drug prices. Drug users would no longer need to rob/assault innocent people in order to support their drug habit. This violence against innocent people would end if drugs were legalized.
You support clogging our prisons and jails with nonviolent people.
Nearly 50% of all people in prison and jail are serving time for nonviolent drug charges. There are thousands of people in prisons for 5, 10, 50 years—even life—for possessing marijuana or cocaine! The average rapist is set free after serving only 3 years in prison, the average murderer is set free after serving only 9 years in prison! To house just one prisoner for one year costs the taxpayer $40,000! The result of these harsh penalties? Drug use has increased! (Tough laws have not stopped me from using marijuana—nor will they ever!)
You support organized crime and drug cartels.
Huge drug cartels and criminal organizations thrive off the enormous profits caused by drug prohibition. These organizations are responsible for thousands of murders! Many of people killed or hurt are innocent people who get in the way! These violent organizations will never be put out of business—unless drugs are legalized.
You support environmental destruction.
Underground cocaine and methamphetamine labs use toxic chemicals to produce those drugs—the wastes are recklessly dumped in forests and streams. These highly toxic chemicals are causing major environmental damage in South American rainforests and now in the U.S. This environmental destruction will stop only if drugs are legalized.
You support drug dealers and street gangs.
Drug dealers and street gangs fight over drug territories. Thousands of people are murdered and assaulted because of this fighting—many are innocent people who get in the way. This violence is another result of the huge profits caused by drug prohibition.
You lure thousands of young people into quitting school.
It is a fact that thousands of inner-city youths drop out of school to make enormous profits by selling drugs. The incentive to drop out of school would end if drugs were legalized.
You do nothing to keep drugs away from kids or out of schools.
In spite of what you may believe, keeping drugs illegal does not keep drugs away from children! Drugs are easily obtainable in almost every high school in America. Legalizing drugs would put schoolyard drug dealers out of business! There would be less drugs in our schools if drugs were legalized. Drugs would still be illegal for minors!
You subsidize criminals by letting them reap huge drug profits without paying taxes.
Since drugs are sold anyway, wouldn’t you rather have them heavily taxed so it would reduce your tax burden? You are giving criminals a free ride and it’s coming out of your own pocket. Working people pay 100% of all taxes for the drug dealers! Why do you want to pay taxes for drug dealers?
You advocate punishing millions of harmless drug users (like me) at an enormous cost to society.
If you believe drugs should be illegal, then you advocate spending your tax dollars to arrest/jail/punish millions of productive, honest, and harmless working people (like myself). Why? We hurt nobody! Who benefits from this policy? Nobody! Who loses from this policy? Everybody!
Drug users can only hurt themselves. But the drug war harms/kills hundreds of thousands of innocent people and burdens you—the taxpayer. The drug war costs you hundreds of dollars every year! The drug war has not reduced drug use!
Prohibitionists claim drugs must be illegal because they harm people. Why are prohibitionists so concerned about what other people do to themselves? Why do they feel it is their responsibility and right to control the lifestyles of other adults? The prohibitionists tell stories of people who hurt themselves with illegal drugs. So what? For every one person who has been harmed with illegal drugs, there are dozens of people who have used illegal drugs and were not harmed. For every one person who has been harmed by illegal drugs, there are 1,000 people who harm/kill themselves by deliberately choosing these harmful lifestyles…
* Being overweight
* Smoking cigarettes
* Watching too much TV
* Eating high-fat/high-cholesterol diets
* Eating too much meat
* Participating in dangerous sports/activities
* Drinking alcohol
* Eating too much sugar
* Eating too few fruits/vegetables
* Drinking too much coffee
* Getting little/no exercise
Why don’t the prohibitionists advocate banning all of the above harmful lifestyles? The prohibitionists tolerate people who hurt/kill themselves with tobacco, alcohol, poor diet, or no exercise, but they refuse to tolerate people who harm themselves with cocaine. Why? Inconsistent! Illogical! Irrational!
We now come to the real reason why marijuana, cocaine, LSD, and other drugs are illegal: Lifestyle control! Prohibitionists fear that if drugs are legalized, the “drug culture” will spread to the rest of society. Nobody can force others to use drugs! Adults must take responsibility for their own health! Because the prohibitionists have decided that drugs are wrong for them does not give them the right to force their lifestyle on others. Prohibitionists want government to play the role of parent. Prohibitionists believe they must babysit adults. Prohibitionists are the lifestyle police!
In the last 25 years, per capita alcohol and tobacco consumption has decreased significantly. This was accomplished by education and treatment, not by threat of punishment! Drug use/abuse would drop significantly if we spent our resources on education and treatment instead of law enforcement. No rational person would call for imprisonment of smokers and drinkers in order to reduce tobacco and alcohol use. But that method is exactly how we try to reduce drug use. The savings to be had in ending the drug war could easily pay for all the drug treatment and education programs we need. The drug war is a failure! Education and treatment work!
If you don’t like a culture or a lifestyle, don’t live it! If you don’t like alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, or other drugs, don’t use them! But don’t ban my personal lifestyle for fear it will poison your lifestyle. Adults must take responsibility for their own actions! It is a flagrant violation of individual freedom to threaten others with punishment just because they choose a lifestyle that is not right for you.
If you still believe drugs should be illegal, answer this question… Why do you believe it is good policy to punish me—and 20 million adult Americans like me—because I choose to use marijuana in the privacy of my own home? Who benefits from this policy and how do they benefit?
Total cost of drug prohibition
* Over 300,000 nonviolent people lose their freedom to prison/jail.
* Thousands of murders, assaults, and robberies caused by drug crimes.
* $20 billion/year in law enforcement costs.
* $10 billion/year in lost tax revenue (similar to alcohol tax).
* $5 billion/year in property losses due to drug-related crimes.
* $50 billion/year and 500,000 jobs lost because of no hemp industry.
Total cost = $85 billion/year = $500 per taxpayer every year!You support robberies and assaults on innocent people. The high prices of drugs... more-

If you support keeping drugs illegal…
*You support robberies and assaults on innocent people.
*You support clogging our prisons and jails with nonviolent people.
*You support organized crime and drug cartels.
Huge drug cartels and criminal organizations thrive off the enormous profits caused by drug prohibition. These organizations are responsible for thousands of murders! Many of people killed or hurt are innocent people who get in the way! These violent organizations will never be put out of business—unless drugs are legalized.
*You support environmental destruction.
