Those outraged by Rush Limbaugh’s libelous attack on Georgetown law student Sandra Fluke have responded by employing the tactics pioneered by the Right, only to be accused by Limbaugh’s supporters of “censorship” and “destroying freedom of speech.” In some cases the dittoheads are threatening a double-reverse counter-revolt where they themselves will abandon any advertiser that abandons Limbaugh. Apparently boycotts are only acceptable when used by our side. When you do it, it’s cheating. Those outraged by Rush Limbaugh’s libelous attack on Georgetown law student... more

Here’s what the move by Limbaugh means:
His lawyers told him that a libel suit had merit, and
he was feeling the backlash against his advertisers.
Here’s what it doesn’t mean: Limbaugh’s opponents have won. On the contrary, this is a transparently obvious attempt to hose down the heat a little, not strategically unlike what the Komen Foundation tried with its fake apology last month. If those of us who were appalled (if not exactly surprised) by Limbaugh’s latest round of Cro-Magnon spew take today’s PR stunt as a genuine victory, it teaches him and his hatecasting fellow-travelers that you can say or do anything - all that’s required is a fauxpology, released as several big games are in crunch time, and by Monday the controversy is gone. Here’s what the move by Limbaugh means:

A businessman is receiving a libel payout after his firm made a press release stating he had harassed a female co owner on a business trip to Africa. The release said he had tried to 'jump the company secretary' which he stated made him a laughing stock at work.
"The hearing centred on a July 2007 press release, which said that the board of the company was seeking Kinsella's resignation after "an incident" near the Moma titanium mineral mines in Mozambique. It was said that he sleepwalked naked to the room of the firm's secretary, Deirdre Corcoran.
The jury heard that Kinsella was a regular somnambulist. He had also been drinking and taking painkillers."-Guardian

Disgraced former Canuckistani news mogul Conrad Montague Black was handed his legal "cojones" on a silver-plated platter today by the U.S. District Court of Appeal in Chicago when it upheld two of the fatted British nobleman's criminal convictions, including his conviction for obstructing justice.
The egocentric hagiographer and self-styled plutocrat elitist was rendered uncharacteristically dumbstruck earlier today as the appellate Court ruled that Black's involvement in the purloining of bankers' boxfulls of documents from the headquarters of Hollinger Corporation in Toronto immediately prior to the arrival of police fraud investigators with a search warrant was an incontrovertible and intentional obstruction of justice.
That said, the portly and bellicose ex-press baron may have to rethink his grandiose plans--announced in August 2010 on the heels of his initial appeal of the Chicago jury convictions being upheld by the wacky U.S. Supreme Court on an obscure legal technicality involving the judge's charge on a point of law--to sue everyone and their uncle back in Ontario for defamation. Those intended targets of Black's hubris included a number of former officers of Hollinger Inc. who had publicly referred to Black's reign as a "corporate kleptocracy."
But with the appeal court decision upholding the obstructing justice and fraud counts, Black's days of waxing indignant may be short-lived. He now faces the prospect of being unceremoniously returned to the federal prison camp facility--Coleman Correctional--in Florida, where he had already served nearly a third of his 75 month sentence.

The Express apologised and is set to pay libel damages to the makers of Grand Theft Auto, after the Daily Star printed a story claiming the company was making a game based on Raoul Moat.
From reading the story it sounds like the Star saw a photoshopped image from the internet of the GTA series but themed with Raoul Moat, they then printed the image and a story about the game. GTA was not planning on making a game based on the Moat story and it is stated the paper didn't approach Rockstar games about the article before printing.
""The article was illustrated by an image which purported to be the cover of the new video game. The defendant solicited and published quotes from third parties, including one from a grieving relative of a victim of Mr Moat, in which the alleged plan to create such a game was described as 'sick' and deplored in the strongest terms.
"In a leader, the defendant commented that the people behind the production of the video game were 'questionable idiots' who were making money out of other people's misery.""-Press GazetteThe Express apologised and is set to pay libel damages to the makers of Grand Theft... more

Climate modeller Andrew Weaver launches libel action in Canada for publishing 'grossly irresponsible falsehoods'
One of the world's leading climate scientists has launched a libel lawsuit against a Canadian newspaper for publishing articles that he says "poison" the debate on global warming.
In a case with potentially huge consequences for online publishers, lawyers acting for Andrew Weaver, a climate modeller at the University of Victoria, Canada, have demanded the National Post removes the articles not only from its own websites, but also from the numerous blogs and sites where they were reposted.
Weaver says the articles, published at the height of several recent controversies over the reliability of climate science in recent months, contain "grossly irresponsible falsehoods". He said he filed the suit after the newspaper refused to retract the articles.
Weaver said: "If I sit back and do nothing to clear my name, these libels will stay on the internet forever. They'll poison the factual record, misleading people who are looking for reliable scientific information about global warming."
The four articles, published from December to February, claimed that Weaver cherrypicked data to support his climate research, and that he tried to blame the "evil fossil fuel" industry for break-ins at his office in 2008 to divert attention from reported mistakes in the 2007 report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, on which he was lead author.
The lawsuit also highlights several claims in the articles that attempt to question or undermine the scientific consensus on climate change, including that annual global mean temperatures have stopped increasing in the last decade and that climate models are "falling apart".
Such statements, the lawsuit says, would lead readers to conclude that Weaver "is so strongly motivated by a corrupt interest in receiving government funding that he willfully conceals scientific climate data which refutes global warming in order to keep alarming the public so that it welcomes... funding for climate scientists such as himself."
Weaver said: "I asked the National Post to do the right thing, to retract a number of recent articles that attributed to me statements I never made, accused me of things I never did, and attacked me for views I never held. To my absolute astonishment, the newspaper refused."
A spokesman for the National Post said: "Beyond saying that we intend to defend the article, we do not comment on such suits."
Weaver is suing for libel three writers at the newspaper, as well as the newspaper as a whole and several, as-yet unknown, posters on the paper's online comment section. Such comments, typical on articles about global warming, included claims that Weaver was "as big a hypocrite as he is a fraudster" and a rat leaving a sinking "ship of lies, red-herrings and hysteria". One poster suggested he should be thrown under a bus.
McConchie Law Corporation, acting for Weaver, said that the National Post articles had "gone viral on the internet" and were reproduced on dozens of other websites, including prominent climate-sceptic sites Climate Audit and Watts Up With That.
The lawsuit says the newspaper "expressly authorised republication" of the articles by including online links that invited readers to email the story to others, and share it through tools such as Facebook.
McConchie Law said it was seeking an "unprecedented" court order that would require the newspaper to help Weaver remove the articles from across the internet. Media law experts said that such demands were becoming increasingly common in complaints to publishers, but this could be the first time they were tested in court.
Weaver's libel action follows an official complaint made last month by a leading UK scientist to the Press Complaints Commission over a story published in the Sunday Times. Simon Lewis, an expert on tropical forests at the University of Leeds, claimed the story published in January was misleading because it gave the impression that the IPCC made a false claim in its 2007 report that reduced rainfall could wipe out up to 40% of the Amazon rainforest. He said he told the newspaper that the IPCC's statement was "poorly written and bizarrely referenced, but basically correct".Climate modeller Andrew Weaver launches libel action in Canada for publishing... more

When you begin typing a search query into Google, a list of the most common searches starting with your query is displayed. Well, it appears that in France, two companies are suing because they "were upset that when people started searching on their company names, the first suggestion was their company name followed by the word 'arnaque,' which means 'scam.'"
Google is not actually saying that these two companies are "scams." Simply, it is reporting an observation that a lot of people searching on Google are looking up information about them being scams.

A investigator claims that Al Gore invested in a carbon trading company called Camco
http://www.camcoglobal.com/
Also this investigator claimed he will get to the bottom of this and he told me to report this on Current to stop the propaganda pushing of Current, he said once he gets proof that he does work for that company he will spread it nationwide, he did not tell me his name in the IRC chat room, he told me he can't say anything out of fear of being murdered by Al Gore if he finds out about his investigations and told me to publicly release information against his propaganda campaigns.
So I checked out Camco global and it has this on it's front page:
Camco is a leading climate change and sustainable development company. We provide world class strategic, technical and financial solutions for all carbon related issues. With 18 offices in 12 countries, we are able to provide solutions for the public and private sectors, in the developing and developed world and across all the stages of the carbon management process.
So this means when cap and trade happens Al Gore will make millions off the stock markets and off the failing economy, after homes being forcefully audited Al Gore will start raking in the billions in cash after many won't be able to afford auditing their homes to become ecofriendly and many historical homes will be destroyed including Old Salem, Al Gore will be gaining billions of investment dollars after cap and trade passes, while the environment will still be at risk of global warming. There was even a patent I fould on the emule filesharing networks to government probably didn't want me to see of a frequency device that looked like it could get rid of all pollution and prevent cap and trade lies from ever happening but those machines never got out to the people.
Al Gore is a antichrist helper, a false activist, a liar, and a corporate fraud working for the Bilderbergs, his family invested in Occidental Petrolium and that means his family are billionaires which means that they also belong to the Bilderbergs club, all Billionaires can join that club and so this proves once and for all Al Gore is a Bilderberg boy for his grand ole Bilderberg family, and Al Gore is going to strike it rich and when gas prices go up the Bilderbergs will rake in even more money as the USA becomes bankrupt and then the New World Order will happen once sovereignty is bought and sold.
His nickname was Anonymous in the chat rooms and the chat room also went out because he temporary opened it up after I mentioned that I worked for USWGO he sent me a PM and I checked it out and he told me everything I didn't know about Al Gore. I now know hes even more of a fraud then ever!A investigator claims that Al Gore invested in a carbon trading company called Camco... more
