No joke, the Vatican updated the 1,500-year-old list of seven deadly sins.
According to time.com: "Sins increasingly manifest themselves as behavior that damages society as a whole, Monsignor Gianfranco Girotti said in an interview published Sunday by the Vatican's daily newspaper, L'Osservatore Romano."
Now, those risking eternal punishment must also beware of these:
Thou shall not push or abuse drugs
Thou shall not pollute the Earth
Thou shall beware genetic manipulation
Thou shall not commit economic injustices
Thou shall not be obscenely wealthy
Thou shall not have or assist with abortion
Thou shall not commit pedophilia

The Vatican has drawn up a new list of mortal sins for our times. While the original seven were rather individualistic, the new set of sins "are designed to make worshippers realise that their vices have an effect on others as well." So now, according to Roman Catholic doctrine, the following will get you a first class ticket to hell:
Genetic modification
Carrying out experiments on humans
Polluting the environment
Causing social injustice
Causing poverty
Becoming obscenely wealthy
Taking drugs

Researches asked 549 Dutch and Spanish men and women to rate how jealous they felt, and to list the qualities in a romantic competitor that were most likely to make them feel "ill at ease."
Men felt most nervous about attractive, rich and strong rivals. The feelings increasingly relaxed the taller the subject was.
Women felt most nervous about a rival's looks and charm. The feelings relaxed the closer they were to average height.
