TEXAS - A crowd of more than 100 protesters chanted "No more!" from the steps of the Tarrant County Courthouse Sunday evening as they demanded an investigation into a police raid earlier in the day at a gay night club.
One patron was seriously injured in the raid, several protesters said, as police used excessive force in making seven arrests. Police defended their actions.
Speaker after speaker demanded an inquiry into the late-night raid at the Rainbow Lounge on South Jennings Street.
"I was scared," patron Todd Camp said at the protest Sunday afternoon. "I have never seen anything like this in my life."...
Witnesses say that police arrived at the nightclub about 1 a.m. Sunday and arrested seven people and that one of those arrested suffered a fractured skull during the take down and is at a Fort Worth hospital.

Personally I believe this was done purposely, for them to do a "random bar check" with multiple cruisers and officers is hard to believe. They used excessive force, cracking one guys skull. To do this on the Stonewall anniversary is pretty unacceptable, I hope they get to the bottom of this.TEXAS - A crowd of more than 100 protesters chanted "No more!" from the... more

Two literate men called Martin and Alfred who have been living over the past few years from the excessive waste generated by other people and supermarkets. In a way they have chosen to go against the societal norm of having steady, paid jobs and yet survive comfortably by not participating in the process of earning money and adding to the burden of existing over-consumption.
As they put it 'being content to live off less' .
They will in the film take this hard stand of living on just what you need to the next level.By walking around London for 7 days and being able to find enough from people/markets to live off it. Its survival extreme!

The film is story of two men called Martin and Alf who have been living over the past few years from the excessive waste generated by other people. In a way they have chosen to go against the societal norm of having steady, paid jobs and yet survive comfortably by not participating in the process of earning money and adding to the burden of existing over-consumption.
As they put it 'being content to live off less'.
What do they do then?
Martin and Alfred live in a old camper van which runs on vegetable oil.
As a result of their lifestyle change they have more time to give back into society through free, voluntary work, distributing helpful literature which they print themselves. And inspiring people to change their habits on over consumption our society.
They have taken this hard stand of living on just what you need to the next level. By walking around London for 7 days. With the strong conviction that by helping and serving people and not worrying about where their next meal comes from ,one truly begins to live.
So what motivates these two to opt out of a way of living that we all are desperately aspiring to? To climb out of the wagon of riches and fame? And what kind of a beliefs would inspire them to do something like that?
This film takes a closer look at their world and the way they choose to live. The film is story of two men called Martin and Alf who have been living over the past... more

"Three homes and five vehicles were sprayed with anti-gay slogans in the 2800 block of NW 7th Ave in Wilton Manors early Friday morning.
One resident was using soap and water to wash out the anti-gay messages sprayed on his property that said "fag".
He explained to CBS4 Reporter Ted Scouten that he's not gay, which is all the more worrying why he was a target.
Another resident, Ron Helfrich, said his home and car were defaced, "They wrote gay on the door, in the living room, and on the couch."
''There's no reason for this to happen,'' Aaron Challancin said. ``We didn't do anything to anyone. We're normal people trying to live normal lives.
The incidents are being investigated by the Wilton Manors police department.""Three homes and five vehicles were sprayed with anti-gay slogans in the 2800... more

Oregonian voters have not been disenfranchised. OR. already HAD 3 shots to rule on domestic partnership.
Certain Oregonians have tried three different times to prevent the domestic partnership law from going into effect, and each time they have failed.
* First, they tried to block passage of the domestic partnership law in the state Legislature last spring. After dozens of hours of testimony from everyday Oregonians as well as clergy, business and community leaders, the bill passed with bipartisan support.
* Next, anti-gay activists attempted to gather enough signatures to put the law on the ballot for repeal by voters. They had to gather only 55,179 valid signatures — the lowest number for any signature gathering effort — but Oregonians weren’t interested. The referendum effort failed.
* Finally, hoping to force a do-over, the Arizona-based lawyers (ADF) filed a case in federal court. The federal judge who heard the case, a George W. Bush appointee, ruled against the ADF and tossed out their lawsuit.
