Never mind the mythical angels of religion and poetry. Meet a living angel in flesh, Nazanin Afshin-Jam. Many of you may not know that we have a hero in our midst. Many of you may not know that this individual, singlehandedly, has done more for her compatriots, as well as for other people of our planet, than most of us together. This dazzling beauty, both inside and outside, has dedicated her life to the good of humanity.May 12, 2009

A Louisiana driver was stopped and detained for having a "Don't Tread on Me" bumper sticker on his vehicle and warned by a police officer about the "subversive" message it sent, according to the driver's relative.
The situation developed in the small town of Ball, La., where a receptionist at the police department told WND she knew nothing about the traffic stop, during which the "suspect" was investigated for "extremist" activities, the relative said.
It followed by only a few weeks the release of a Department of Homeland Security report, "Right-wing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment", which prompted outrage from legislators and a campaign calling for the resignation of DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano.

Are we losing our common sense along with our right to free speech ?
Are those who oppose a point of view so afraid to engage in dialog about an issue that they will go to extremes to suppress the expression of views other than their own ?
Is it not so that a position with merit should be able to stand the light of reason and truth ?
Apparently there are those who think not, and take liberties to stop others from challenging their values and clarity of thought...possibly because it will not stand the light of truth ?Are we losing our common sense along with our right to free speech ?
