"I might try good old-fashioned Tupperware. I started searching on the Web for cute ones shaped like sandwiches and then realized I had plenty of containers in my cupboard that would do the job just fine."
Hello, tap tap tap, is this thing on? What part of "Tupperware is plastic," doesn't Alina understand?
Alina shouldn't have any Tupperware in her cupboards, it's toxic. She should dig her Nalgene bottles out of the basement, but not to use, to recycle, they're also toxic.
It's a sad day when convenience trumps health. Whatever happened to good old canning jars? You know, the ones like your mom used to use. That's what I use.
Instead of re-using your plastic bottles, invest in a few quality stainless steel ones. I would stay away from the lined aluminum bottles, just to be on the safe side. Re-using glass works well for adults. The sport caps on the stainless steel bottles from Kleen Kanteen work great for toddlers, and they even have a baby top. You can find them at heath food stores and on the web.
