The Discovery Channel, in collaboration with the BBC, brought 'Life' to life in an 11-part series examining the diversity of life on Earth. Filmed over 4 years with a team of 70 camera operators working on every continent, the production is by turns beautiful and fascinating in recording some of the largest and smallest creatures on the planet. The ability of life-forms to preserve their species through mutation and evolution is a marvel to witness. The series, narrated by Oprah Winfrey, is well paced and always interesting. LIFE is the 11-part follow up to PLANET EARTH (the most successful natural history documentary of all time).
