The N.H. House approved a bill that would decriminalize the possession of up to a quarter of an once of marijuana to a violation instead of a misdemeanor.
The bill was sponsored by Reps. Jeffrey Fontas and Andrew Edwards (D-Nashua), who are also full-time college students. Organizations in support of the bill regarded the house vote as a small victory, though the senate and the governor have expressed no interest in supporting the bill.

what seems to be the hold up in legalizeing weed. i think its because our goverment makes more of it being illegal then it would being legal. all they have to do is find the right way to tax it, which is no big deal, same way we have a tax tariff on tobaco. the same could go for weed., but noooo the goverment would rather lock up inocent people and take their lives away for something that has never hurt anyone but actually had positive affects on our society.what seems to be the hold up in legalizeing weed. i think its because our goverment... more
