Dream Chemistry's single "The Wind" finds nature to be full of music. The uplifting nature of the song is paired nicely with the beautiful landscapes shot on location in Arizona (one should expect nothing less). The sun is used several times in overlaid shots, adding additional symbolism to the rising sun and sun-drenched hills. The band is a colorful cast of characters, with long black hair or a straw hat and quirky looking instruments. They look as if they just appeared out of the desert dust, an effect reinforced by the opening scene where each instrument fades in, with the musicians' name floating across the screen. It seems almost like the start of a folk tale, not a music video.
With the lead singer Dellynn, taking the lead on camera time, viewers get a sense of her presence and her energy. She seems to believe in message of her song so intensely it becomes infectious. The complex layers of folk instruments and rich female vocal bring a wholeness to the song. The musicians illustrate their well-honed craft, focusing on their playing over camera candy, which maybe why some of the shots of the band without their instruments seems almost out of place within the song. While there are some fleeting moments where a camera shot do not ring true, the music is stunningly real and honest. Dream Chemistry certainly gives the viewer something to sing about.

Peter Doran’s music style compares with Damien Rice, David Grey, and Amos Lee. Lyrically, Doran’s style compares to the artistry of Bob Dylan and Neil Young, but remains very much an original writer and he stays clear of forced lyrics, an often trait that many novice songwriters are compelled to overdo.
“Sleepless Streets” is a rich blend of natural sounds and it stirs clear from popular rock music. It isn’t mundane nor does the album laying waste alongside in a sea of average acoustic rock bands.

These were my hastily-written memories, because I was so sick -- the days before the 40th anniversary of Woodstock -- of the hundreds of negative articles and emails I was seeing plastered everywhere. What got to me the most was that of all those people who wrote ABOUT Woodstock -- and how bad, ugly, awful, scary, dirty, blah, blah, blah, it was -- not one of those folks had actually BEEN at Woodstock!!!! That just pissed me off.
Hell, I even recently heard a woman neighbor of mine telling her 11-year-old daughter that Woodstock was the ultimate "filth experience," and that most of the girls who attended were raped and got pregnant that weekend.
Um.......... this was the era of..... FREE LOVE!!!!!!! No damn REASON for rape! And we had diaphragms and IUDs and The Pill, so there were no more "unwanted" pregnancies than in any other city a half a million strong.
So anyway, I threw together this rundown of my ACTUAL experiences around Woodstock. The next day, CNN called me and had me come to the studios to do a live, on-the-air, on-camera report. Before all that, maybe for the 20th anniversary, I'd done lengthy interviews with Jack Curry, who subsequently wrote a book about Woodstock, and two of the chapters were named my name. Damned if I can remember the name of that book, though! Then, because of THAT, for the 25th anniversary, ABC (New York) gave me a call and sent out a crew to interview me for "Turning Point," which was a one-hour weekly news program. Then, last year -- in preparation for this year's 40th anniversary -- a film crew flew in from Germany and interviewed me for their 90-minute documentary, which still hasn't been released here in the States, but got good airing time in Europe.
These experiences -- while not in the least mind-blowing -- were good for me, because I got to re-live a great deal of my happy time during Woodstock.
There really will never be another Woodstock... nor SHOULD there be.

The Mexican duo Rodrigo y Gabriela is known for nimble-fingered classical guitar work and a diverse musical background that fuses traditional flamenco music with heavy metal and rock.
The pair's new record, 11:11, features 11 songs dedicated to 11 different musical influences in Rodrigo y Gabriela's lives — from Pink Floyd and Jimi Hendrix to the jazz-fusion band Shakti. The duo recently spoke with All Things Considered host Guy Raz and performed songs from the album.
Rodrigo Sanchez and Gabriela Quintero met in Mexico City, where both played in the thrash-metal band Tierra Acida. But after a certain point, the two set down the electric guitars for acoustic instruments and moved to Dublin, Ireland, to go backpacking. The Mexican duo Rodrigo y Gabriela is known for nimble-fingered classical guitar work... more

Jennifer Grassman is a Texas based recording artist. She composes piano and vocal pieces which embody her own haunting and esoteric genre. The media has compared her music to that of Sarah McLachlan, Tori Amos, Loreena McKennitt, and Enya, but nothing quite sums up the music of Jennifer Grassman better then the songs themselves.
Born in Austin, Texas, in 1984, Jennifer grew up with an avid love for music. During a tumultuous childhood, her piano was often her best friend, and she would daily spend hours absorbed in learning a new Chopin or Debussy piece. She particularly appreciated minor melodies from the romantic period, although she tributes Handel's Messiah as being her favorite work of all time.
"There's something pure and ultimate about it," Jennifer said in a September 2008 interview. "It's also very nostalgic for me. Every year as soon as Thanksgiving was past, my family would listen to Handel's Messiah over and over again on my dad's record player until New Year rolled around. When I hear it played now, I can feel the cold winter draft creeping through the windows of our house in Memphis, Tennessee, smell the cinnamon and the pine ... it just transports me to the happiest moments of my childhood - in addition to being an impeccable work of art."
In addition to Jennifer's strong classical influences, she also holds an affinity for U2. "I was obsessed with Boy, War, and Unforgettable Fire when I was in my early teens," Jennifer said smiling. "Besides the fact that they were my first introduction to rock music, they also taught me to always promote a cause that you truly believe in. There's just something nauseating about the millions of pop songs revolving around boyfriends and cattiness. I want to impart something meaningful with my music. I want to impact people's lives. In my case of course, it's not about politics, it's the anti-abuse cause."Jennifer Grassman is a Texas based recording artist. She composes piano and vocal... more
