The charity event has been organized by Robbie Williams for a football match at Old Trafford on June 6th. Michael Sheen is known for some great film performances, however it'll be his part as famed football manager Brian Clough that saw the actor mix film with football. Sheen is reported to be playing as team captain for the Rest of the World Squad.
"Former Liverpool star Kenny Daglish and Ian Rush will manage the Rest Of The World squad, which also includes footballers Zinedine Zidane, Henrik Larsson and Jens Lehmann, cricketer Brian Lara, Westlife's Shane Filan and Nicky Byrne, comic Patrick Kielty and Gordon Ramsay.
Robbie Williams will be joined in the England squad by GMTV's Ben Shephard, TV presenters Bradley Walsh and Jamie Theakston, actor Damian Lewis, boxing star Ricky Hatton and ex-footballers Alan Shearer, David Seaman, Teddy Sheringham and Jamie Redknapp."-Digital Spy.The charity event has been organized by Robbie Williams for a football match at Old... more

News of Robbie Williams updating the 3 Lions track for the world cup has been reported by the Sun because they saw the singer head to a studio in Notting Hill.
"Robbie has contributed to the '3 Lions' track and, together with his involvement in the Soccer Aid celebrity soccer match in June, is happy to be involved."
"'3 Lions', which was originally performed by comics Frank Skinner and David Baddiel, was a number one hit in 1996 and 1998. Earlier this year, Skinner ruled out re-releasing the track, joking that they "couldn't get any more blood out of that stone"."News of Robbie Williams updating the 3 Lions track for the world cup has been reported... more

Despite forgetting when to sing on Saturday's X Factor it appears that Robbie Williams may be in line to be judge on next year's X Factor.
Simon Cowell has said “A lot of things are going to change for next year – if we bring the show back. Possibly five on a panel. I don’t think it will be Mel B.
“I tell you who’d make a good judge – Robbie Williams. He’s fun, he’s got good instincts and he doesn’t take himself too seriously.”
Strange that Cowell said "if we bring the show back". It must be a major bank roller for him and has turned around ITV's advertising revenue.
Still with Robbie's mad randomness, it may become as compelling as watching Jedward!

Ex-fat dancer Robbie Williams has popped the question to girlfriend Ayda Field live on an Australian radio show.
Listeners tuning into The Kyle and Jackie O Show (probably not *that* Jackie O) heard Williams pop the question after he'd been chatting about romantic gestures.
Host Jackie O asked Robbie: "Sydney has a bit of a reputation for proposals with celebrities, is there any news you want to share?"
He then turned to Ayda and said: "Is there anyone you want to get married to?" before adding, "Will you marry me?"
A shocked Ayda replied: "Yes, I'll marry you. Where's the ring?"
Robbie then slipped a temporary ring on her finger, saying: "I love you so much. Would you be my betrothed 'til the end of time?"
Hope's not totally lost though ladies. His PR types are yet to confirm it's all true.
Update: Apparently it's a prank (see first comment below). Why I oughta...
Even more of an update: his mum has confirmed it's true (see third comment). Phew, eh?

Putting his rather strange performance at X Factor behind him, Robbie Williams performed his first full concert in three years at the Roundhouse in London last night.
He gave the biggest hint of a Take That reunion saying that Gary Barlow was his "new best mate". But if that wasn't enough, he said after his opening song "You nearly made me cry then, but then I realised it's not The X Factor."
"Go for the twins, John and Edward all the way."
Maybe his strange behaviour isn't on the way out yet!Putting his rather strange performance at X Factor behind him, Robbie Williams... more

Yep everyone's favourite member of Take That, turned, least favourite member of Take That will take a break from UFO spotting in LA to release a new record later this year according to the Guardian.
It's reportedly going to be called "Reality Killed the Video Star" which doesn't surprise me in the slightest. I can picture record bosses sitting around a board table (do you think Robbie was in on the "title" meeting?) and nodding smugly when that name was suggested. "Oh yes, very good. Kind of like "Video Killed the Radio Star", but not. And cleverer."
Does anyone have high hopes for this?Yep everyone's favourite member of Take That, turned, least favourite member of... more

The singer Robbie Williams is reportedly threatening to sue a cancer charity over it's plans to use a look a like of him in a campaign for awareness of testicular cancer.
Over 30 celebrities agreed to give "15 minutes" of their time to film a small contribution to a campaign but Mr Williams refused. When asked if a look a like could be used in his absence, the singer reportedly denied permission for this as well.
Marc Gavin, campaign sponsor of National Testicular Cancer Awareness, claimed that Williams rejected a request to appear in the campaign himself and his management called in lawyers after hearing that the charity planned to use a lookalike instead.
"I'm astonished by the appalling attitude of Robbie's management company, particular as the campaign is designed to save lives by giving people vital information about testicular cancer," the Daily Express quotes Gavin as saying.
