“The Holy Chicken of Life & Music” is an award-winning three-minute experimental animated short film, a surrealistic burst of quirky insanity directed by Greek filmmakers Christos Lefakis and Yannis Konstantinidis. The film tells the story of the last living magnificent double-headed digital rooster, a Holy Chicken hailed by some as the only hope for the restoration of the Life Cycle. The Glorious Beast possesses the miraculous talent to create Life and Music, and as a result the Holy Chicken is both worshiped and exploited, in a tale of love and regret, art and science, Life and Opera.
This piece includes a number of colorful illustrations, as well as the wickedly funny animated short film.

Video Noir clips that seem to come from some sort of dreamscape where things are connected but often in a way that doesn't always make sense. Part Salvador Dali part Twilight Zone part late night television. All blended and filtered through some ones cortex and then rebroadcast. Often just images and music and snippets of conversation woven into a tapestry. Part of what will be a semi regular roundup of interesting new releases by artists working in this genre.

Sam Taylor-Wood is a contemporary artist who works mostly in avant-garde video, video installations and photography. She has been identified as one of the leading figures in the younger British Artist Group. Sam Taylor-Wood’s video installations and photographs depict human dramas, isolated emotional situations, and people shown in solitary, awkward, or vulnerable moments. Her works have often featured celebrity friends, including Elton John, Robert Downey Jr., David Beckham and The Pet Shop Boys.
Still Life (2001) has been said to be one of the most classical works in contemporary art. It is part of a classical genre that contains symbols of change or death as a reminder of their inevitability. The short film carved a permanent record for itself in art history with hardly any commentary, confronting the vanity of worldly things through its focus upon the often subtle signs of elapsing time and decay.
