Adam Boulton was not the only member of the SKY News team making a twat of themselves live on air yesterday. Kay Burley tried to deflect some of the heat from Boulton caused by his meltdown by becoming a total bitch.
Burley, while interviewing David Babbs of pressure group 38 Degrees, shouted him down, told him to go home, he was wasting his time and many more rants while defending the new soon to be Murdoch Government.
Amazingly in spite of all that was happening yesterday, Burley managed to trend on Twitter at #1.with Sack Kay Burley.
Comments quickly flooded twitter and #sackkayburley and #watchthebbc hashyags were born out of later coverage when a chap with a megaphone started disrupting all her interviews on College Green.
Twitter comments included " i've had sky news on all day, they really have been a disgrace" "I couldn't agree more - the vicious rottweiler", " #Kay Burley your job is to commentate/present NOT to give your opinion!! You patronising biaatch!", and my favourite "People want to sack Kay Burley.People are laughing at Adam Boulton.Sky - When you BECOME the news, you're doing it wrong"Adam Boulton was not the only member of the SKY News team making a twat of themselves... more

After they were forced to sit impotently and wait for snippets of news emerging from coalition deals going on behind closed doors, the nation's impatient media finally got some stories to sink their teeth into last night.
Not only did Gordon Brown announce he'd be resigning as Labour leader, throwing Lib Dem coalition talks with the Tories wide open, but Sky News's Adam Boulton had a quick squabble with Alastair Campbell.
"Don't keep saying what I think!" Boulton shouted, jabbing his finger and turning bright red. "Don't keep saying what I think! I'm fed up with you telling me what I think! I don't think that!"
"Calm down, calm down," teased Campbell. "This is live on television."
"Don't tell me what I think!" yelled Boulton.
Finally, the newspapers had some *real* news.

It's official. A deal between the broadcasters (BBC, ITV and BskyB) and the three main UK political parties (Labour, Conservatives and Liberal Democrats) have been given the green-light to have a series of leadership debates in the run-up to the general election.
Each debate (similar the US for the election) will last between 85 and 90 minutes, ITV goes first followed by Sky and then the BBC. Sky even pushed for this since September, so far they have 15,000 signitures and counting. The SNP and Plaid Cymru both wanted to be in the leadership debate.

The Queer Youth Network has written to the Press Complaints Commission following the publication of an article in The Sun newspaper which described sex change operations as "Sick Body Mutilation".
Upcoming dance artist Kim Petras who last year signed a record deal with Joyce Records has been described as "tacky" by tabloid columnist, Sky News presenter and former TalkSport radio presenter Jon Gaunt.
Earlier this year, The Sun interviewed Petras as she talked openly about her gender-reassignment surgery, which Gaunt described this week as "misguided" and more "odd" than Michael Jackson.
Milo Twistleton of the Queer Youth Network told Queer News: "She is someone who has a dream like thousands of people in the world" and felt Gaunt's article was "full of ignorance and incites transphobia".
The youth organisation claims that sensationalising the experiences of Transsexual people in the media makes hate crime seem more acceptable and more of a threat.
Crime statistics show Trans people are especially vulnerable to violent, unprovoked attacks and are significantly over-represented in hate crime figures nationwide. Many more incidences are thought to go unreported.

Basingstoke hospital was at the centre of a prime-time Sky News debate on the controversial dilemma of NHS rationing.
Theatre number two became the scene of an interactive media operation that brought together a panel of eminent thinkers and top news anchor Dermot Murnaghan for The Big Debate.
The event was part of a week of programmes about the agonising issue of which patients can get life-saving treatments on the NHS.
Viewers were invited to vote for the case they felt was most deserving of treatment funded by the NHS.
The hour-long programme - part of Sky News' Price of Life season - was broadcast live on Thursday at 8pm, amid the busy main theatre ward where 200 operations are carried out each week.
Dermot Murnaghan told The Gazette the news team wanted to broadcast from the hub of a real hospital.
He said: "We wanted to bring the debate to where clinicians are making these tough decisions on who gets what, making these life and death decisions on a day-to-day basis.
"Basingstoke hospital is also one of those trusts that is forward-thinking and brings the public into its day-to-day running, so we thought it was an excellent choice."
The hospital, which is the town's largest employer, with 2,400 staff, was designated as a foundation trust in December 2006, as part of a transfer of responsibility from central government to a local level.
Mary Edwards, chief executive of Basingstoke and North Hampshire NHS Foundation Trust, was among the guests who took part in the debate.
She was also involved in the founding of the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE), which has drawn criticism for advising the NHS on dropping drugs not thought to be cost-effective.
She said: "One reason why we're hosting the debate is that we want to be open about the human decisions that have to be made and recognise the benefit of having a mature conversation about this."
Mrs Edwards added that Basingstoke and Deane faces a future dilemma of rationing treatment because there is a predicted 25 per cent growth in the over-65s by 2013.
Earlier that day within the theatre, four breast operations had been carried out before it was scrubbed clean for the TV crew to set up their equipment in the theatre, ready for the one-hour-debate.
Among the panellists dissecting the dil-emma were Baroness Warnock, an esteemed ethicist and pragmatist on rationing, and Professor Paul Goddard, who took the opposite view by fiercely criticising rationing, warning that the NHS was heading for meltdown because of its money-saving obsession.
As part of the interactive programme, viewers at home were given case studies and asked to decide who best deserved treatment.
The case studies included:
* a premature baby needing treatment because it was born weighing only 1lb 6oz
* a breast cancer patient needing a costly drug
* darts champion Andy Fordham, who is seeking a liver transplant after years of sinking pints of lager
* an elderly patient nearing the end of his natural life.
The majority chose the cancer patient as most deserving of NHS treatment.

I know that this is an old article but I havn't seen it anywhere else on Current and so i'm putting up.
"The media mogul Rupert Murdoch has said he wants Sky News to become more like his rightwing US network Fox News, and revealed the extent of his editorial grip on his British newspapers to a House of Lords committee."
"Murdoch said Sky may become more like Fox, even if there was no overhaul of news impartiality laws by Ofcom, by copying its presentational style. He complained that changes had not been made because "nobody at Sky listens to me". The BSkyB chief executive is his son James."
"Murdoch restated his antipathy towards British legislators and regulators, saying the UK was "anti-success" and this had prevented him from expanding his media empire further."
