" The Wackness " is about, Luke, an 18-year-old emo, ghetto, drug dealer, who has no friends (except his therapists) ands
parent's are in deep debt. Luke's therapist,Jeff, (who isn't the normal "how do you feel?" therapist. Lemme put it this way.
Luke pays him in weed) who after listening to Luke's sad life of never having a girlfriend decides to examine his own
relationship with his wife. At the same time, Luke falls for his therapists step-daughter, Stephanie. Jeff advices Luke
Against being with Stephanie, not because she's his daughter, but because Luke was a nice, smart, naive person who would fall
for her, while Stephanie wouldn't think much of his feelings and soon become board. While simply flipping that idea (and Jeff) off,
He falls full course in love with Stephanie. He then tells her that he loves her. She cuts off contact from him after that.
Jeff, in a side storyline finds his wife literally has no emotions for him anymore. He says "I love you" she sighs, he says
"let's run off together" she rolls her eyes. She literally has no feelings for him.They decide to divorce. All this is of course,
spread out widely (which much more inappropriate details, and events which, would you really make me type them? )Luke then finds
that the $260,000 he raised in drug money isn't enough to cover his
parents debt, and they prepare to move to there grandparents
Luke visitsJeff, only to find him in a suicidal state, at a beach house. Jeff then runs into the water saying he's going to
drown himself. Luke follows him, and both of them come back. Jeff and Luke then go back to Jeffs house, and Jeff begins taking
meds. Luke tells Jeff how much terror the thought of his death inflicted on him. Jeff then tells Luke it's fine to leave,
after there good byes. Luke then takes off to his grand parents house, where Luke's grandparents ask what Luke plans on doing
for a living when he gets older. Luke's answer being "I was thinking a shrink. I'd be good at that since everyone around me is
so freaking crazy" although he said it in a nonchalant voice. The scene then switches to Jeff getting a call from a character
(client of Luke's) that Jeff met earlier in the movie. (who had an attraction to because of there music interests) The girl
asked him out. The movie then ended. The Movie tittle "The Wackness" came from a scene when Stephanie and Luke where in a conversation
and she said "see that's the problem. I just see the dopeness in things. You just see the 'Wackness' " thus, the tittle!
Luke is played by Josh Peck. Josh Peck was a great actor. Sure is a shame his acting skills where wasted on such an unpopular
