READ SELECT CONVERSATIONS FROM PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA’S EXCLUSIVE APPEARANCE ON “THE VIEW” Full Interview Airs Tomorrow, Tuesday, May 15 at 11:00 a.m., ET on ABC.
(Conversation #1)
BARBARA WALTERS: Let’s move it along a little bit. You did make that historic decision to say that you’re in favor of gay marriage. There are 30 states which are not. But there are also federal laws that impinge on the rights of gays. They can’t file a joint income tax report; they don’t have social security that they can pass to each other. Will you now fight for a federal bill that gives the same rights to heterosexuals that the federal bill now does not give to gays?

Alex Jones appears on the view to defend Charlie Sheen and dominates the discussion. Feb 28, 2011.
A masterful job by Alex Jones ) of bringing real issues to main stream corporate sponsored TV. These ladies were clearly tasked with the mission of demonizing Charlie Sheen and making Alex jones look bad in the process. They failed and failed miserably.
Alex Jones clearly out gunned these ladies intellectually. Within approximately 6 minutes Alex cleverly dodged sustain attempts to talk about Charlie Sheen as if he were crazy and out of control. More importantly he was able to inject some real issues and get several things "on record". Things we typically don't like to talk about like 1 million dead Iragis, TSA putting there hands down people's pants, building 7 the (building that fell in New York without being hit by a plane), banks bankrupting the US, things of real importance. Which are now on record.

Following up their icy exchange from last month, "The View" co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck has thrown another jab Kathy Griffin's way, calling her "scum" when she was brought up on the July 19 show.
During a segment on Griffin's "My Life on the D-List," CNN reporters John King and Dana Bash quizzed the comedian on her knowledge of politicians. When they held up a photo of Senator Scott Brown, Griffin reacted, "Scott Brown ... who is a senator from Massachusetts and has two daughters that are prostitutes."
On Monday, Hasselbeck said, "If someone went around calling Barack Obama's two girls prostitutes, people would be up in arms... You defend your daughters against scum who come after them," prompting Whoopi Goldberg to say, "If somebody talked about my daughter as a joke like that, I would beat their ass."
Whoops?
Joy Behar didn't see the point in getting heated up about it. "I know my daughter's not a prostitute, so it'd be funny," she said. "It's just a joke, Elisabeth."
On "D-list," the joke was immediately followed up with the disclaimer, "Scott Brown's daughters ARE NOT prostitutes." Griffin also reacted to a picture of Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor by saying it was "the maid from 'Will & Grace.'"Following up their icy exchange from last month, "The View" co-host... more

Wright equated several media outlets – ABC, CNN, Fox – with the “gates of hell.” The Chicago Sun-Times reported that Wright, while not saying her name, referred to “View” co-host Elizabeth Hasselbeck twice as a “broad,” including once as “that dumb broad.”
The ladies of “The View” weren’t pleased.
“By choosing those words, in my opinion, pretty much proves my points that I have been making about him this entire time,” said Hasselbeck, who at one point in the campaign introduced Republican Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin at a rally. “To call someone who simply disagrees with you a ‘dumb broad,’ is not only archaic but sexist. And I just feel as though those comments really have no place.”

Elisabeth Hasselbeck, one of ten people in NYC who openly admit to being a Republican (other than Staten Islanders), and who's been the center controversy on The View conceded and graciously congratulated Barack Obama on his presidential victory. "I will jump in that line to support our president because that is what as an American I believe we should do," she said. Meanwhile, Sherri Shepherd, the resident idiot, who until last Friday maintained she was undecided, is overcome with emotion and burst into tears as she reflected on the Obama win and how people of color have finally overcome limitations. And it took her until last Friday to realize that? Eye rolls please....Elisabeth Hasselbeck, one of ten people in NYC who openly admit to being a Republican... more

The View co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck will stump for vice presidential contender Sarah Palin in Florida this weekend. "Gov. Palin asked me to be with her this Sunday to introduce her at the rallies in Florida. I am more than honored to be there," Hasselbeck said Thursday on the TV talk show. "I'll have some stories, I'm sure, on Monday."
Palin is scheduled to appear Sunday at campaign rallies in Tampa and Kissimmee, Fla.
Co-host Joy Behar couldn't resist tweaking her conservative colleague on the air.
"I want to see her wardrobe," Behar said mischievously, a reference to the GOP's $150,000 expenditure on designer clothes and beauty services for the Alaska governor. Hasselbeck smiled but didn't respond.

As most people probably already know by now, Sunday night’s Academy Awards featured many montages, one of which was described as a “Montage of Oscar Hosts.” That montage included almost every host in the show’s history. But there was one host who was not included, the 4-time host and Academy Awards winner Whoopi Goldberg.
Until now, most writers have described what took place on "The View" the next day simply in terms of how displeased and upset Whoopi's co-hosts were about the slight. However, there is a different, possibly more plausible perspective on what actually took place Monday on "The View." Consider that not only does Whoopi have to suffer the daily indignity of being reduced to just another “chatting-head”, but also that her co-hosts insisted upon going on and on, in front of millions of American people, rubbing in the fact that the Oscar winning and Oscar hosting actress had not been shown in Sunday's montage. Dumb and dumberer Elisabeth Hasselbeck babbled on and on about how it must feel so terrible to have been so slighted. Placing a cherry atop the poison pudding, the ever-duplicitous Barbara Walters intimated that nothing Whoopi had ever done at the Oscars was really a Great Moment anyway.
Whoopi just sat there, looking unbelievably miserable, trying to collect the remaining shards of her dignity that were being scattered around the set. When the others just wouldn’t stop, Whoopi quietly got up and gave each of them “the kiss of death” just to shut their mouths, briefly weeping when she got behind Barbara Walters.
Update: On Tuesday, the producer of the Oscar awards show apologized to Whoopi for leaving her out. The View should be interesting to watch tomorrow.
Photographs, the video of the "Oscar Hosts Montage" and the video of Monday's embarrassing moments on "The View" are included. As most people probably already know by now, Sunday night’s Academy Awards... more
