The Al Khufrah Oasis in southeastern Libya (near the Egyptian border) is one of Libya’s largest agricultural projects, and is an easy-to-recognize landmark for orbiting astronauts aboard the International Space Station. Because only about 2 percent of Libya’s land receives enough rainfall to be cultivated, this project uses fossil water from a large underground aquifer. The Libyan government also has a plan called the Great Man Made River to pump and transport these groundwater reserves to the coast to support Libya’s growing population and industrial development. http://www.freeturbine.com/index.php/news/concerts-news/item/green-circles-al-khufrah-oasis-libyaThe Al Khufrah Oasis in southeastern Libya (near the Egyptian border) is one of... more

The history of forcing fluoride on humans through the fluoridation of drinking water is wrought with lies, greed and deception. Governments that add fluoride to drinking water supplies insist that it is safe, beneficial and necessary, however, scientific evidence shows that fluoride is not safe to ingest and areas that fluoridate their drinking water supplies have higher rates of cavities, cancer, dental fluorosis, osteoporosis and other health problems. Because of the push from the aluminum industry, pharmaceutical companies and weapons manufacturers, fluoride continues to be added to water supplies all over North America and due to recent legal actions against water companies that fluoridate drinking water supplies, precedent has been set that will make it impossible for suits to be filed against water suppliers that fluoridate. There is a growing resistance against adding toxic fluoride to our water supplies, but unfortunately, because fluoride has become "the lifeblood of the modern industrial economy"(Bryson 2004), there is too much money at stake for those who endorse water fluoridation . The lies of the benefits of water fluoridation will continue to be fed to the public, not to encourage health benefits to a large number of people, but to profit the military-industrial complex. http://www.makeahistory.com/index.php/bizzareweird/43055-the-fluoride-conspiracy-the-greatest-case-of-scientific-fraud-of-this-centuryThe history of forcing fluoride on humans through the fluoridation of drinking water... more

Did you know that an average of 23 manufacturing facilities were shut down every single day in the United States last year? As World War II ended, the United States emerged as the greatest industrial power that the world has ever seen. But now America's industrial might is being gutted like a fish and both political parties seem totally unconcerned. Yes, we will always need trading relationships that are fair and balanced with other countries that have economic systems that are similar to our own. However, the truth is that most of our trading relationships are neither "fair" nor balanced. For example, China manipulates currency rates so that Chinese products are much cheaper than they should be, they brazenly steal our technology and we let them get away with it, they deeply subsidize their most important industries and they exploit their citizens by allowing them to be paid slave labor wages. How in the world does that resemble the "free market" at work? Predatory nations such as China do everything that they can to distort the free market. So why in the world would any rational economist ever recommend that we should keep trading with other countries that are cheating us blind? After you read the facts in this article about the gutting of America's industrial might, hopefully you will get very angry. We need the American people to start getting very upset about these very important issues.Did you know that an average of 23 manufacturing facilities were shut down every... more

‘NESMETAL’ is Johnathan Godbolt. He was born in the fall of 1982 on October 18th. He currently lives on the east coast of the united states. “I’ve always loved old Nintendo music,” says Johnathan, “and I’ve always loved the more extreme side of music. As a kid I always listened to more hard rock than anything, as of course what my parents permitted at that young age. Growing up with bands like Petra, and Stryper paved the way nicely for crossing over into the faster, more technical genres of metal, as well as creating an open mind towards the classic/progressive rock styles.” Videogame music (both classic era, and present) helped in filling in just about every other style of music there is. You could say that he draws influence from everything he hears, “not as in to copy this band or that band… but influence on more of an emotional level, to try to captivate and express a certain feel or mood.” http://www.freeturbine.com/index.php/news/album-reviews/item/nesmetal‘NESMETAL’ is Johnathan Godbolt. The city of Tiumen' in southern Siberia is located more than 1,300 miles from the Russian capital. It is also, on a less celebrated level, home to the youthful glitch-hop practitioner known as Koin Nockio. In other related venues, he sometimes adopts the equally mysterious identity of "Konstantin Chyo" (his real surname, however, appears to be Bolotnikov). Partially responsible for the workings of a Siberian dubstep label, Nockio has been authoring his own music for the last three years. In his own words, "my first efforts were a real experimental mishmash, but they at least were an initial, important step en route to further developments."..... http://www.freeturbine.com/index.php/news/netlabel-news/item/dissonant-field-recordings-raw-nd-aortha-koin-nockio-and-roomdarkThe city of Tiumen' in southern Siberia is located more than 1,300 miles from the... more

Katarrhaktes is a solo project of London-based visual and sonic artist Malcolm James McLean, and was conceived of and formed in mid-late 2007. Its aims are to explore the unexplained, what we choose to believe in, the boundaries of truth, the meaning of a linear perceptive existence, and other discourses via conceptual pieces of music which range from a confusion of destructive sonic anarchy that subvert the sensibilities of normative auditory arrangements to structured, percussive noise. http://www.makeahistory.com/index.php/industrial/25281-katarrhaktesKatarrhaktes is a solo project of London-based visual and sonic artist Malcolm James... more

Attending a sprawling congress for Neue Slowenische Kunst's imaginary state proved to be a worthwhile exercise in traumatic participation. While it is almost impossible to encapsulate what the Slovenian art movement Neue Slowenische Kunst (NSK) has undertaken, in all its manifestations, since forming in 1983, we could perhaps describe it best as an aesthetic apparatus for collective diagnosis. Its work - spanning music, theatre, philosophy, and statecraft - has served to diagnose multiple forms of repressed and sublimated desires lingering in the collective imagination: from the continuing but unacknowledged appeal of totalitarianism operating within the Yugoslav state, to the fascist dynamics found within the dynamics of pop culture....

John Zerzan first shot into celebrity philosopher status in 1995 after the New York Times featured him in 1995 as a supporter of the Unabomber's anti-technology doctrine. He has since become a leading light of the primitivist movement in the US. In an exclusive interview with DNA, he explains why modern civilization is fundamentally anti-human, 'green' technology is 'psycho' and Stone Age is the way to go. http://www.makeahistory.com/index.php/section-table/16004-john-zerzan-future-primitive-interviewJohn Zerzan first shot into celebrity philosopher status in 1995 after the New York... more

This are the recordings of many lost weekend sessions between the members of Spoiled Egg. The music is monotone-techno-industrial related electronic music. It's dark and deep. It’s certainly not dance-music! They are influenced by DAF, Front 242, Cabaret Voltaire, Bill Leeb, Einsturzende Neubauten, etc. http://www.makeahistory.com/index.php/electro/13870-spoiled-eggThis are the recordings of many lost weekend sessions between the members of Spoiled... more
