"Of course it is! I found there's a fairly blatant racism in America that's already there, and I don't think I noticed it when I lived here as a kid. But when I went back to South Africa, and then it's sort of thrust in your face, and then came back here -- I just see it everywhere. There's a good population of people in this country that are terrified of the president only because he's black, even if they don't say it. And I think a lot of them, behind closed doors, do say it.
Maybe I'm paranoid about it, but I don't think someone who disagreed as strongly as they do with Obama -- if it was Clinton -- would have stood up and screamed at him during his speech. (Shakes his head) I don't think so."

MADISON, Wis. – An Illinois teen knew he was too drunk to drive home after a Dave Matthews Band concert south of Milwaukee. So he fell asleep in his car, only to be awoken by a state trooper. Travis Peterson, 19, of Dixon, Ill., said even though he told the officer he was drunk and sleeping it off, the trooper ordered him to leave because the lot was being cleared.
Once out of the parking lot, Peterson was arrested for drunken driving. He was subsequently found guilty and ordered to spend 60 days in jail.
A Wisconsin appeals court on Wednesday commended Peterson for doing the right thing by trying to sleep it off, and said the trial court was wrong not to let him argue that police had entrapped him.
The state had argued successfully at trial that people who choose to drink too much can't argue they've been entrapped when stopped for drunken driving. The 2nd District Court of Appeals disagreed.
"Drinking alcohol to excess, while inadvisable and unhealthy, is not unlawful by itself," the appeals court said.

So what do you all think? Personaly this spounds like a clear cut case of entrapment. The 2009 Outside Lands Festival Line-Up has been announced. This year Pearl Jam, Dave Matthew's Band, and Beastie Boys will be headlining the three day festival. The festival will take place in SF at the Golden State Park Aug. 28th-Aug. 30th. Other artists including M.I.A, Modest Mouse, and Black Eyed Peas will also take part in festival.
As I said before, the festival would never be able to top Radiohead. With my minor obsession with Pearl Jam, I think it came quite close.
Check out the full line-up here: http://www.sfoutsidelands.com/artists/index.php

LeRoi Moore, a founding member of the Dave Matthews Band, has died aged 46, his publicist has said.
The versatile saxophonist died after suffering complications from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident in June on his Virginia farm.
Publicist Ambrosia Healy said he died on Tuesday at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center, in Los Angeles.
A statement announcing the star's unexpected death on the band's website said: "We are deeply saddened".
Moore initially went to hospital in June after crashing an all-terrain vehicle on his farm outside Charlottesville, Virginia.
He was later discharged and had returned to his Los Angeles home to begin a physical rehabilitation program when complications forced him back to the hospital in July.
The musician was best known for donning dark sunglasses at live concerts.
He was classically trained but said jazz was his main musical influence, according to a biography on the band's web site.
The group formed in 1991 in Charlottesville, Virginia, when lead singer Dave Matthews was working as a bartender.
He handed a demo tape of his songs to Moore, who liked what he heard and recruited his friend and fellow jazzman Carter Beauford to play drums.
The group broke out of the local music scene with the album Under the Table and Dreaming.
They went on to win a Grammy award in 1997 for the hit song So Much to Say, from their second album Crash.
Other hits include What Would You Say, Crash Into Me and Satellite.
The band went on with its show Tuesday night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, where lead singer Dave Matthews dedicated the entire show to Moore.
"It's always easier to leave than be left," Matthews told the crowd, according to Ambrosia Healy, the band's publicist.
"We appreciate you all being here."

LOS ANGELES – Dave Matthews Band saxophone player LeRoi Moore, one of the group's founding members and a key part of its eclectic jazz-infused sound, died Tuesday from sudden complications stemming from injuries he sustained in an all-terrain vehicle accident in June. He was 46.
Moore died at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center, according to a statement released on the band's Web site. The statement did not specify what led to his death.
Moore was initially hospitalized in late June after the accident on his farm outside Charlottesville, Va. He was later discharged and had recently returned to his Los Angeles home to begin a physical rehabilitation program when complications forced him back to the hospital on July 17, the band said.
Galina Shinder, a nursing supervisor at Hollywood Presbyterian, said the hospital could not release any details.
Ambrosia Healy, the band's publicist, said the band's show Tuesday night in Los Angeles was not canceled. Saxophonist Jeff Coffin, who played with Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, had been sitting in for Moore during the band's summer tour.
Moore, who liked to wear his trademark dark sunglasses at the bands' live concerts, had classical training but said jazz was his main musical influence, according to a biography on the band's Web site.
"But at this stage I don't really consider myself a jazz musician," Moore said in the biography. Playing with the Dave Matthews Band was "almost better than a jazz gig," he said. "I have plenty of space to improvise, to try new ideas."
Lead singer Dave Matthews credited Moore with arranging many of his songs, which combine Cajun fiddle-playing, African-influenced rhythms and Matthews' playful but haunting voice.
The band formed in 1991 in Charlottesville, Va., when Matthews was working as a bartender. He gave a demo tape of his songs to Moore, who liked what he heard and recruited his friend and fellow jazzman Carter Beauford to play drums, and other musicians.
The group broke out of the local music scene with the album "Under the Table and Dreaming." The band won a Grammy Award in 1997 for its hit song "So Much to Say" off its second album "Crash." Other hits include "What Would You Say," "Crash Into Me" and "Satellite."
