Artists Mike Bancroft and Evan Plummer of Garage Spaces will contribute to Mischief Night at the Hyde Park Art Center with the foamy wargames of Sh**, Shower, Shave.
As Hyde Park Art Center opens its doors to artful play on the idea of pranks and mischief common to Halloween celebrations, Garage Spaces’ Sh**, Shower, Shave will unleash a 60 ft long soft sculpture tunnel in which visitors can engage in shaving cream combat. Visitors will purchase a kit of HAZMAT protective suits, shaving cream, matches, and safety pins with which to set the inflatable afoam in fits of mischief. Garage Spaces continues to be thankful for the support given by the Welle Endowment.

Garage Spaces, an exhibition space built within a three-car garage in Chicago's Humboldt Park, installed billboards throughout Chicago's west side for their "RETROSPECTIVE". The taggers covered the exhibit's billboards with red spray paint that read, "Go home Toys". This phrasing, common to "taggers" refers to someone new or inexperienced in the Graffiti world. I found this profile and thought it was interesting.
Throughout the early 1990's he played guitar and co-conceptualized the local pioneer Spanish punk bands-RECHAZO SOCIAL and LOPODRIDO. He had his first brush with visual arts doing the band's collage posters and distributing them all over the metropolitan area.Sometime in the 90's he lived nomadically for extended periods in NYC and Toronto.I found this profile and thought it was interesting.

Anti-Hate song "No Loss for Words" written by OF WOLVES of Chicago to release stress & anger while waking up those who will listen...
This is interesting because they are taking an agressive style of music ( a mix of metal and punk called crossover or hardcore) and using it as a postive. The song is about stopping hate and violence and uses the energy to diplace stress the band describes thier music as therapy to relase all the negative energy that they come in contact with on a daily basis...you judge for yourself?
The band is very political and wants to expose as many current issues as possible, the band often uses the phrase "Wake Up Sheeple" in the songs, live shows and on posters, t-shirts etc.
