I came across this composite of environmental savings. This is awe inspiring. I plan on introducing these changes into my home.
If every American switched just one light bulb to a 13 watt CFL bulb you would save $700 billion annually and 9 billion lbs of greenhouse gas emissions every year.
If 20 million homes in the US installed a timed thermostat to turn down the temperature while they are out of the house the average home would save $180/year while the combined 20 million homes would save $3.6 billion annually. This would also save 41 billion lbs of CO2 per year.
If 20 million homes reduced their water heater temperature by 10 degrees 1.18 billion would be saved annually and 14.6 billion lbs of CO2 emissions would be saved nation wide.
If 20 million people switched to low flow shower heads 401 billion gallons of water would be saved each year as well as 6.4 billion dollars in water and electric bills.
If we did these four small things we would save $12.5 billion, 64.6 billion lbs of CO2 and 401 billion gallons of water.

If just one percent of the Saharan Desert were covered in concentrating solar panels it would create enough energy to power the entire world. That’s a powerful number, and the European Union has decided to jump on their proximity to the Sahara in order to reap some benefits from the untapped solar energy beaming down on Northern Africa. Just yesterday, European Energy Commissioner Guenther Oettinger announced that Europe will start importing solar energy from the Sahara within the next five years. The news comes after the Desertec Initiative was announced last year, which sets a long-term plan of about 40 years.
The EU has a mission to take at least 20% of their entire energy from renewable resources by 2020. Last year they announced that they would lay a series of highly-efficient cables across the Mediterranean, build a series of solar power plants in the Sahara, and import renewable energy from across the sea. The initiative is being financed by a group of European companies and is supported by the EU government. The plan is to cover 6,500 square miles of the desert in photovoltaic systems and wind parks.
Previously it was thought that the system would take 10-15 years to start to show results. However, the EU has announced that they will complete the first part of the system within the next five years and will start importing a small amount of power as a test run before the entire initiative is finished. “I think some models starting in the next 5 years will bring some hundreds of megawatts to the European market,” Oettinger told Reuters. That energy will skyrocket into the thousands of megawatts as the project proceeds towards its completion date in 2050. It is estimated that the initiative will cost $400 billion Euros. If the EU decides to scale it up — the initiative will power a large part of Europe but not all of it — they’d only need to cover .3% of the desert with solar panels to power the entire continent.If just one percent of the Saharan Desert were covered in concentrating solar panels... more

OIL IS KILLING US, BURNING IT EVEN MORE, BUT NOW
THE BIG BRITISH BLACK BLANKET OF DEAD IN US TERRITORY
The big black cloud of oil spill, will create:
1) A massive killing of life
2) Lack of evaporation of the ocean.
3) Will contaminate all sea food for years
4) Black heats much more
5) Expect a huge disaster this summer in regards to natural effects.
BRITISH PETROLEUM SHOULD BE LIQUIDATED IN IT'S ENTIRETY AND ALL ASSETS BE GIVEN TO THE PEOPLE WHO WILL HELP FIX THE DAMAGE

If the Government will know the end of the live in the planet is near, do you think they will tell us?

We all share the Planet.
Humans have degraded animals, as "animals" SMALL brains, stupid.
But the truth is, they are much smarter than Humans.
The key questions when you distinguish who is wiser and smarter is
Why do they do it?
Such as Nuclear weapons, guns, machine guns, pollution, borders, money...
If the Humans could understand Animals are living being as we are , with equal rights to this Planet and no borders should exist to protect them.
Then, we could begin to respect all.
And I mean respect all.
How may chickens are killed a day?
How many cows?
How many animals?
How much wasted?
If we all will know how to share…
Poverty would not exist, crime would not exist, and pollution would not be as it is.
Humans are very possessive and greedy; they want more and more, beyond what they can enjoy.
