Top 3 semi-pseudo-psychedelic solutions to a typical Tuesday:
1. "A Whole Lot Better" by Brendan Benson
Benson may be better known at this point for playing with Jack White in The Raconteurs, but this new solo album is classic, soaked smooth rock like your parents had on when they made you. Get more about the new album, "My Old Familiar Friend," at his official site.
2. "Breathe" by Pink Floyd as performed by the Flaming Lips
I imagine the Flaming Lips' New Year's Eve show—during which they'll play the entirety of "Dark Side of the Moon"—will look something like that. Pitchfork reported at one point the band was planning to fully reissue the album, so perhaps this is all part of that master plan... (And if somehow you missed Current's Christmas special with the Lips from last year, watch here.)
3. "Golden Age" by TV On the Radio, as performed by Phish
A nice roundup of covers contemporary and classic by Phish can be found in this RollingStone.com piece. Download any of them at livephish.com.

"What’s really interesting about this movie, however, is the scope of the subject matter. On the surface, this movie is guitar porn; three extremely talented musicians talk craft and share a few of their secrets and jam out on a few songs. But then there’s a deep level of music appreciation in this movie. Link Wray’s “Rumble” will always sound different after you listen to it with Jimmy Page miming along to his favorite parts (while standing in his music room, with shelves packed with hundreds and hundreds of CDs and records). Jack White really gets into the music that inspired him, and the movie includes some very old footage of some of the original blues men of America, including Sam House and Blind Gary Davis, and White gets into the whys of the blues and how deep the genre can get. Meanwhile, The Edge talks about his early exposure to punk rock and how it just blew the doors open as to what he knew about music at the time."

Jack White, lead singer and guitarist in the White Stripes and The Raconteurs, is apparently 'disappointed' with Coca Cola after the soft drinks company used an instrumental of his new Bond movie song in one of their adverts without his prior knowledge.
White's new song is a duet with Alicia Keys and was intended to be held back for the new 007 film, Quantum of Solace. To White's surprise though, it's ended up soundtracking an advert for Coke Zero.
In 2006, the White Stripes frontman actually penned a song specifically for a Coca Cola ad, defending accusations of selling out by saying he was interested in writing music in a new way.
"I certainly wouldn't want a song that I'd already written to be used on a commercial," he told the NME, "That seems strange."
