The Chili Peppers are one of those bands that you listen to when your feeling funky. They always play with a huge amount of energy and distinct stage presence. The band is rooted in the California music scene throughout the 70's and 80's when the music was turning into metal hair bands and there was a huge influence of Pop beginning to develop.

Despite playing in Chickenfoot and getting read to introduce his latest project, Chad Smith's Bombastic Meatbats, the famous drummer told Billboard that the Red Hot Chili Peppers would reunite in October:
"Everybody was like, 'Y'know, I really like having this time off, not being a Chili Pepper and doing other things...It'll be two years in September, so now we're ready. You can't force people to play when they don't want to play or aren't ready to play or whatever -- not in our band, anyway."
Smith expects bassist Flea and guitarist John Frusciante may come in with some musical ideas, but the group will mostly likely "do a lot of improvising and jamming and songs will come out of that, too.
