Tacoma judge orders TEN striking litigants back to work: Forgetting thousands of striking teachers
It is ironic that a court order was faithfully obeyed in which the litigants were ordered back to work. And back to work they went: all ten of them. The funny part is that the order forgot to add the thousands of striking teachers!Tacoma judge orders TEN striking litigants back to work: Forgetting thousands of... more

We are one of many newspaper distributors of 22 newspapers such as USA today at Missouri rest areas. There are no pornographic newspapers distributed at rest areas.
We distributed 5 and did the litigation that opened up rest areas to first amendment protected newspaper distribution.
We assembled an 8 page non commercial
website of legal positions and court rulings etc including one upheld by the St Louis U.S. Court of Appeals (8th Cir.) which upheld a federal District Court ruling that state regulations limiting vending machines at rest stops violate a newspaper publisher's First Amendment rights.
http://missouri.violatesrights.com/
We had filed twice before seizure, that we had a constitutionally protected right to distribute there, that in addition to several court rulings, they had opened it up to many first amendment activities including registering voters, handing out political literature.. for 18 years thereby making it a dedicated public forum.
They never acknowledged that and despite four inquiries and two responses do not directly admit to four direct inquiries that they have seized our newspapers.
Also that we were entitled to be notified and granted a hearing under the due process provisions of the constitution
Rest areas are paid for by the Federal government and managed and maintained by the state government. Thus they are paid for and owned by the public and all constitutional rights apply there as any where else in Missouri.
Read up on the subject of the importance of newspaper to free society's. The people of Missouri have a right to receive literature, and have obtained 22 newspapers for 18 years and have a right to continue to do so.

A man with an IQ of 48 has been ordered to stop having sex by a High Court judge.
Known only as Alan, the 41-year-old was in a relationship with a man he lived with and said he wanted it to continue.
However, his local council said his 'vigorous sex drive' was inappropriate so started legal proceedings to restrict the relationship.
The authority said that his moderate learning disability and IQ of just 48 - the average is 100 - meant he did not understand what he was doing.
One psychiatrist said that he would be confused if sex education was given to him.
Mr Justice Mostyn said the case threw up issues 'legally, intellectually and morally' because sex is 'one of the most basic human functions' according to the Daily Telegraph.
He said that the court must 'tread especially carefully' when the state gets involved.
Despite his fears for interfering in a person's sex life, he agreed that he did not have the mental capacity to know about the health risks and should be banned from having sex.
His council will now monitor him closely to make sure he doesn't breach the order.
Justice Mostyn said: 'Alan does not have the capacity to consent to and engage in sexual relations.
'In such circumstances it is agreed that the present regime for Alan's supervision and for the prevention of future sexual activity is in his best interests.
Alan, who lived in a house owned by the council, was in a sexual relationship with someone known as Kieron and contact between the two men has been restricted.
He was said to be physically able but 'seriously challenged in all aspects of his mental functionality.'

Three years after Houston police seized these and hundreds of other sex toys worth $50,000 from the Adult Video Megaplexxx, the devices may be missing from the department's property room.
The discovery came to light when a lawyer for the adult-entertainment shop sought to reclaim the 564 items that the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals recently declared legal to sell.
After initially telling attorney Richard Kuniansky the sex toys would be returned, Houston police then said they were destroyed.
"They said no problem you can send somebody by to pick them up, and then we get another call and it's 'Whoops, we don't have them,' " Kuniansky said.
Kuniansky said police told him they were destroyed, but he doubts that explanation.
"There is apparently no court order authorizing destruction of the property or any record of what happened to the property," he said.
A check of Harris County court files did not turn up a destruction order in any of the cases involving the store's employees.
The last time the products were seen by Adult Video Megaplexxx employees was in 2005, when they were carried away by vice officers.
They were to be locked in a property room as evidence. The charges against employees were dropped. And in February,a federal appeals court ruled that Texas' 35-year-old law banning the sale of sex toys was unconstitutional.Three years after Houston police seized these and hundreds of other sex toys worth... more

A court order of protection has been issued for a duck which was allegedly attacked by a Long Island man.
"Circles" the duck is arguably the most endangered and most protected duck in America.
"I'm surprised. So is she I guess," owner Janet Lippincott said with a laugh. "She's the most protected duck in the world now."
Back in March, Lippincott says a group of young people snuck into her backyard in Mastic and shot Circles in the head and neck area with a pellet gun and pierced her voice box.
"She had difficulty quacking for the first week or two," Lippincott said.
So in an effort to protect Circles from a future fusillade of fire the duck got an order of protection.
That's right. A Suffolk County court judge issued an order of protection for Circles the duck, ordering Circles' shooter to stay away from her and her owners.
It is believed to be a legal first. A court order of protection has been issued for a duck which was allegedly attacked by... more
